My brother has a conservator (my mom) because he’s non-verbal autistic. He needs help washing himself, feeding himself, communicating, etc. THAT is who legal conservatorship is designed for. She does not need someone breathing down her neck.
My sister needs my mom help her out as well. She doesn’t have conservatorship but does get a disability check every month. I didn’t even know what conservatorship was until I heard about Britney having one. That’s crazy
Mary I'm sorry about your brother. But his situation is not the only reason for legal conservatorship. Do you think Britney is bipolar? Do you think she is diagnosed with bipolar disorder? Or maybe she is BPD? Do you think maybe she could be borderline? If she has a genuine mental health condition (as described in the DSM-V) then in those cases, a conservatorship could be issued by a judge. These things do not have to be contensious. They don't. If you are bipolar, they you are going to wake up at odd times during the night in a mania stage, get on the internet and BUY EVERYTHING. Buy, buy, buy. You will be broke. I have known a lot of bipolar people and the only ones who are not broke (all their life) are the ones who SURRENDER ALL their spending control to another person in their life that they know, loves them. I agree! It sounded like no one even told her that she'd have that phone call on the record with the judge because she was trying to rush and get everything she needed to say out there. When she said "I wish I could stay on the phone with you all day" because afterwards she would feel so alone around all the people involved, it broke my heart. I think it's convenient that she is unable to choose her own lawyer and her lawyer is the one who should be advising her on her rights to end her conservatorship. If the judge had to advise him and she had to do her own research it just shows further proof this lawyer was handpicked by her team for a reason. I agree! It sounded like no one even told her that she'd have that phone call on the record with the judge because she was trying to rush and get everything she needed to say out there. When she said "I wish I could stay on the phone with you all day" because afterwards she would feel so alone around all the people involved, it broke my heart. I'm scared of what they will all do to retaliate and make her seem mentally unfit until the next hearing. If they'll put her on lithium for refusing to do a dance move, they will surely up her meds to make her seem crazy for the next trial.

I don't remember very well, but Britney is a hostage of her family, the court system, her job and her doctors. I think it's convenient that she is unable to choose her own lawyer and her lawyer is the one who should be advising her on her rights to end her conservatorship. If the judge had to advise him and she had to do her own research it just shows further proof this lawyer was handpicked by her team for a reason.
