I know the feeling of people saying they know you from RUclips. I didn't really know what to say either and it was a bit awkward. As for this video you made the most out of what you had and I also liked last weeks video even if you thought it wasn't great. Its hard to be motivated to go out and skate when the weather is bad, so just getting out there is good.

Go for it bro! Im 48, been skating since '89. Not a park guy, skate alone in a carpark near to my house every evening. Got used to skating by my self and love it. Waxed up the curbs and and go hard. You'll get there man. Filming your skating can put you off sometimes. Do a few practice sessions, work on your game and then turn the camera on. Your ollie technique looked good bro. Just jump a bit more!!

i love it but it's my secondary board - i grab when i just want to "have fun" (ridiculous i know). It's got royal trucks hollows (8.25width) running looser than my normal setup. What egg are you riding?
I do not have no comply yet. I work on them too. Your friend (or brother) is right. Try it with one tiny jump. The backfood shoves the tail forward and your body turns. For me the hardest part is to keep my weight over the board. For me rolling a little bit helps. I assume going faster helps, but I am too affraid.

Not sure on the carpark turd dodge challenge but the last location looked ace with the FS turns! You always look dressed to impress as opposed to me, the Vinted Pikey (can I say that?) Talking about the mental health aspect seems to be a common theme amongst many of us at the minute which can only be a good thing, speaking about it I mean. Without a weekly skate i think I’d really struggle with facing the week and I’ve nothing to dread 🤷🏻♂️ My other head leveller is I’m a volunteer every Wednesday after work for a couple of hours delivering food parcels to various struggling individuals/ families in my home town. Coming up a couple of years doing it now and I find it as mentally rewarding as a skate sesh but without hours of editing 🤣🤣🤣
I tried to explain the Rob Brydon thing to my mid 30s friends and they had no idea what I was on about. I’m not going back to that carpark. I was lucky it was even dry inside. We probably have a responsibility to be mental health ambassadors in many ways. I’m finding simply being in the midst of a midlife crisis a nightmare on so many levels.
The best car park to skate was Tesco's multistory in Uxbridge, used to session there all the time multiple times a week almost always dry and almost always lit up at night, then i think they got private security in 2000, and it was no go. Then I came back from uni in 2003 and no more private security, we could session again. Then in 2006 ish they started locking the place up after 2008ish. I tried contacting the council in around 2014 / 15 as i heard there was some PSPO ( or whatever) order passed banning skating temporarily. I wanted to see if we could arrange a couple of hours permitted skating a week but they wouldn't even continue the conversation, despite there being a similar scheme in Huddersfield at the time. Oh well! Always good, your vids
Need a decent network insider security types that would let you session an evening for a drink or something. Problem I see near me is that the remaining non bust car parks have really crappy surfaces.
If you ever want to venture North of the River I've just got back into skating after about 15 years and always up for a roll, kinda hard to get back into it when you're on your own, either way keep at it dude! I'm 47 and plenty of years left
@@Ungracefulmovement yeah, live in Oakwood (top of the Piccadilly Line) my locals are Friary skatepark (tiny park in Barnet) and Coldfall skatepark (small street plaza style park) but work near Holborn, so close to Cantelowes Southbank etc. Just learnt of the Hackney Bumps from my mate Sol who I work with, crazy DIY park in Homerton, fun place! They’re having a jam on Saturday from 12pm, drinks food prizes, should be fun!
@Ungracefulmovement more or less. It really comes down more to what they're going to do about it. Empty lot? Probably nothing, in front of a business? depends on the business. Normally people don't do anything unless you're causing a problem. It kinda comes down to how you handle yourself.
I feel you on the RUclips posting. I have a channel (non skate related). I started it just to share the things I'm into but I haven't posted in months. I never sought out to get big or have tons of subscribers. I did it just to share what I love. I honestly just got tired of recording and posting and did not like the pressure I put on myself to try and produce content on a weekly basis. I may start a skate channel and you have been my encouragement for that. I am new to skating again and really am at a beginner level. I like that you are able to share your progress, however limited it may be. I genuinely appreciate you putting yourself out there!🤘🏼
We’ve all got our reasons or routes we ended up here, and I can’t deny trying to work the YT game a little and see if I can win… I over think everything and hyper focus so the stress is inevitable but in the mix I’m skating a lot, creating something and hopefully get some free crap at some point.

35 and just started skating recently, you know what? I think I actually picked up why my powerslides are not coming out watching you practice! I am putting too much of my weight on my back leg. Don't envy the random encounters though XD

My local town used to have a indoor park, sadly it got closed. I live prety much next to a parking garage but do i realy feel like getting kicked out of there at the age of 40 😂

North london near where i live got Cambridge roundabout where we skate in the tunnel sometimes but its on a pedestrian and bicycle lane... And Middlesex hospital car park where we've been kicked out few times by security, will keep looking for spots, you're lucky to have one mate. Keep up the good work ;)

Where I live, we have a lot of rainy days, and I know the pain of looking at a parking/street spot that has roof and relaxed security guards and is not an hour drive.
Ah yes the good old UK, as soon as it starts raining we are trapped in car parks, if we are lucky they have lights and aren't busy 24/7, and we are stuck in them for the next 6 months. Ah man it’s been a shitter of a week for skating -so hard to find indoor spots that are decent to skate and don’t have keen security 😒 I ended up at Bay Sixty6 at the weekend for a session which ended up being amazing!
So I tried to be brave and ride down the two consecutive banks at the end of the park but didn’t fancy getting thrown onto the hip/ island so did one at a time a few times 😂 mainly working on kick turns/ revert on the flats - loved it though defo going back later this month and then hop at the end of the month
yeah new vid :))) don't these car parks have any cameras or security people? in germany you can't step in one without anyone noticing and sending you away
not in an old car park like this. They might have cameras as a deterrent, but likely no one is watching them. I did see someone this day in security uniform, but they didn't say anything. Germany's a bit different huh?
@@Ungracefulmovement i can't speak for all of germany of course, but in my city, these goldmines are watched as such. some open area parking lots from bigger stores as ikea sometimes have roof covered areas for bad weather times but usually the ground is crusty (although no feces typically :D)

don't these car parks have any cameras or security people? in germany you can't step in one without anyone noticing and sending you away
not in an old car park like this. They might have cameras as a deterrent, but likely no one is watching them. I did see someone this day in security uniform, but they didn't say anything. Germany's a bit different huh?
Depends where and when, we got kicked out a few times from a few car parks in London.
@@Ungracefulmovement i can't speak for all of germany of course, but in my city, these goldmines are watched as such. some open area parking lots from bigger stores as ikea sometimes have roof covered areas for bad weather times but usually the ground is crusty (although no feces typically :D)
