I was too young to really get in to the original Scream stuff, but I am LOVING this new cast and story.
Jasmin's monologues are such a crucial part of the movie just as Jamie Kennedy's were. Major props to her for pulling that out of the bag. And Hayden - SHE MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS! Kirby coming back could've been just a nostalgia trip but I feel like it really worked because of genuine character development from 2011 to 2023 but still with a dash of S4 Kirby in the scene with Mindy
They did an excellent job with Kirby and Gale. They never felt forced into it or out of place. And they also nailed the handling in Sidney's absence. After watching the movie it feels like really there was no place for her in it. But I do hope she comes back for 7 in a way that ties both her story and Sam's together to give us the grand finale this franchise deserves.

Her storyline is complete and so it feels forced and just boring and out of place. It's like in Scream VI when Ghostface said how Sidney always was sucking up all the air, but Gale said that she herself was the brains and sex appeal it was true. Like they really don't obviously need Sid anymore and the fact that this film made more than any of the other films speaks on many levels of how she's not needed.

On the other hand, Jack Champion who played "Ethan", I think that he would be a perfect Jeffrey Dahmer in the future. Is it my idea or am I the one who think Jack kinda look like Evan Peters?
I thought Jenna was better in the previous movie. Based on what she was given. That’s tough acting actually. To focus on every injury & try to portray it as realistically as possible. I was so impressed by every detail she focussed on. Interacting with others isn’t necessarily as impressive. Plenty of people can do that. Selling injuries is a lot harder.

Kirby and Gale both had less screen time but were very well used. 💖 I really loved it. I hope they don’t rush Scream 7 and get Sidney back.
