Thank you for sharing. We can not get those electronics in Argentina, those shops do not exist and we have 500% inflación. At least we have your videos. Cheers from Patagonia from a very old engineer.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed :)
The bar antenna attached to the back is for AM, not FM.
That long since I’ve used analogue, forgot about that :)
Nice findCrackin find more like this always great lol
Yup, the amp that goes with it is good looking too.
Some, if not all good finds come from charity shops! 🤣🤣 thats a blinding good find there steve! Nice one!! 👍
Thanks 👍
Had a similar experience with an AKAI AS-960 Quad receiver, still in box.
Nice, lucky :). Love the sound quality.
Nice piece! judging by the looks of it id say its more like early to mid 70´s. absolutely not 80´s
Thankyou, more details on the year it was made near the end of the video :)
Woodgrain Shatner rub, I thought you were going to explode.
Lol, I didn’t even realise I’d done that lol. Tech videos recorded for the next 2 weekends, more drooling and cursing to come :)
I would think that you use the connected oscilloscope to adjust the antenna to a direction, where the interference from unwanted multipath signals are as low as possible.
Ahh, that's, I don't know anything about multipath signals.
Equipment that old is gong to have suspect capacitors because it's been left unplugged for decades. I would no leave it plugged n unless i was in the room with it - old caps can leak and short without warning.
Yup, they all look good, it has run many hours, but I never leave stuff plugged in that's not being used :)
