I think more, and more about this subject of our completeness, only being found 'in Christ.' Everything that sits outside of Christ, is in reality, crucified, for the believer. The problem I constantly have, is when I'm going back to what is crucified, and trying resurrect it, then present it to God 'as good!' Again! I have to keep reminding myself that I'm only complete in Jesus. That, NOTHING outside of Him, is remotely 'good.' ONLY ❤God is Good❤ Yes, brother! Those who insist on their own goodness will always present their flesh as something acceptable to God. They will always judge others according to this rule, the rule of flesh! The Cross can only be an offence to those who can't see their need to be crucified with Christ and it's no longer them that lives, but Christ in them. They cannot live their life by the faith of the Son of God who loved them and gave Himself for them. Instead they want to keep their flesh as the central life! They may even see themselves as servants of God, living sacrificial lives, even as 'followers of Jesus!' But, unless they simply believe in what Jesus did for them on that cross and in His death burial and resurrection, that it is finished and complete, they will perish in trying to establish their own righteousness. Even if they are saved, they are building with wood, hay and stubble. They are likely pulling down other believers, in judgemental burdensome ways. They are always accusing the saints, and speaking harshly about God and His demands upon all His servants. These self-righteous people hate the true message of the Gospel. They are against the finished work of Jesus Christ. They are enemies of the cross and of those who have fallen upon the Rock, those who recognise their utter brokenness and need for substitutionary atonement. Our rest comes, only with our understanding about our death to the Law, our death to the world, and our death to the old man. God is Good, and we are not! God is our Savior, and we are the saved. The two trees teaching is a deep and fascinating one. Good on you, mate.😉✌ Blessings and kindest regards David from Australia. 🌏 🙄☝️❤
I have listened to this message three times and each time it hits more deeply than the first time I heard it…tears of gratitude pouring down my cheeks for all Christ has secured for us - all that He is for us- His very life as my life! Such an amazing message- I will be listening again and again 💜
do you believe that if someone “believed” in the gospel at any point in their life, but continues to purposely live in sin, that they will be saved regardless? they can continue to purposely murder people just for the fun of it, watch cp, etc? i would like just a yes or no. there was a guy that shared this video on his community post, and that’s what he believes. i’m wondering if you believe the same.
No one believes the gospel and then continues to purposely live in sin. When believers sin, it's not because they enjoy rebelling against God. Sin is a principal that operates in our members and brings us into captivity to it. Romans 7:23 "But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." Galatians 5:16-17 "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." Romans 6:6-7 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin." The only way that we lay ahold of our freedom from sin is if we reckon ourselves crucified with Christ, walk by the Spirit, and present our members to God as instruments of righteousness (Romans 6:13). This happens over time as God renews our minds and we grow in the knowledge of Him. We shouldn’t expect anyone, believer or not, to be sinless in the flesh. There are times when believers stumble and fulfill the lusts of our flesh, but we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13), and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
@@JacobInChrist That’s correct, which is why i don’t understand why a guy that believes the opposite of that would repost you in support of your channel.
@@prayforcere-w7qMaybe, he hasn't fully understood this principle of sin in our members. I've been saved for four decades and I still stuff up. I've ignored God for long durations of time during my Christian walk. But, I've concluded that I've been saved all along, despite my sinfulness. I knowthat my redeemer lives, and I'll stand before Him in Glory, one day. Even despite all my sin and corruption in this old flesh. Not by works of righteousness which WE have done but by His Mercy He saved us.❤ Titus3: 7. Anybody who has ever believed, was sealed with Christ. They are His, no matter their fleshly condition.
