  • Got a request on instagram for a chevron dress. It took me a minute to figure out what I wanted to do. I love the contrast between the straight line of the shoulder band and the chevron pattern. 🥰 SOOO happy with how this turned out. ❤ If y'all have any questions let me know in the comments!

Hi Kriss! Thanks for the kind words! 😊 If you're familiar with basic stitches, increases and decreases you're golden! And yes! We've seen it made without the sleeves countless times and it's very very cute that way as well. 😊 It's super simple, the sleeves are made separately, so just don't do them.🤣 If you have any questions feel free to reach out! 😊

Hi Heidi, thanks for reaching out! I'm unsure as to the amount of chains equals out to 40 centimeters since tension and tools would be different. Id suggest to make a chain of 40 inches that's comfortable for you. 😊

I made a chain the length that I needed and from there I figured a number that was divisible by my chain number. For example. I had a base chain of 144 and that's divisible by 16. Thats how I got the 16. Does that make sense? 😫 If not let me know! We'll figure it out together! 💪🏼

@deborah if you started with 116, your divisibilie numbers will be 2 and 58, and 4 and 29. So if you want yours to end evenly, you'd have to dec and inc with one of those. Of course if you used the small numbers (2 & 4) you'd have smaller chevron point.... your bigger numbers will make wider chevrons (the distance between the points). But this is allll if you want to end your rows evenly

Nice dress but your instructions are somewhat lacking. You don't show how to end the rows which is confusing especially on the first row as mine didn't work out right. 😳 So now I can't go any further lol. I get why you do what you do. You want people to buy your pattern. Anyways I guess I'll have to look for this pattern elsewhere. Shame...

We actually don't have a written pattern for this, JUST the free tutorial. This was just an older pattern (a little over 3 years), this was when I was still figuring out my teaching technique. 🤣 I can assure you our tutorials are MUCH more thorough and can very easily be made without the written patterns. If you have any questions i'd be more than happy to answer them for you though! Feel free to reach out at any time. 😘 Stay safe and be well!
