I think if you buffed the Chrome spray paint buff like the Chrome buffers, do it not as is professional, but you should be able to make it shine just with a common buff job
I like the clear version but both look good. If you repaint them I think you might consider a light sanding with maybe 800 grit all over them to get the paint to adhere better, and possibly try a flat black high temp paint. Also, paint the insides. =)
Hey they make a paint from revell model paint chrome.. its expensive but im telling you its veryyyyy chrome like..... looks very good.. just like chrome you should try that
Clear looks better fur shur. 0000 steel wool first, may have given you a smooth shiny to start before the clearcoat. "Chrome won't get you home" Hahaha We used that cleaner when I worked in buses. It's very strong stuff.
Wow! Great work on the tips. Amazing looking! Personally, I like the real chrome.
Yes. That's the general consensus. I agree also, cheers my friend !
Well they both look pretty good, but yes the second one maybe would be the best.
Thank you Sir ! I agree
So is the comet moving inside? If so, just polish them up and call it good. Definitely a good find
Yes, she's going inside hopefully next month. 👍. Thanks Brian
subtle promo for that acid, i want it just for fun lol
high temp resist paint
I love that stuff !!! Thanks for watching !
Magic topic; big views😊😊
Hey BB !!! 👍💪

Yes. I did not try that. I had fun trying different things. Thanks for the advice and feedback !
I saw a vid where they applied chrome paint then clear then chrome paint again. It added more depth to the chrome look
Thanks !!!!
Definitely a handy option! Think I'm liking the Clear over the Chrome , but the other is also a winner!!
I agree thanks Jason !
I think the gloss clear looks the best, but that's just my two cents. Have a nice weekend Stephan 🔧🔩
I think you are right ! Thank you Zane !

Yes. Very good point . And I agree with you the inside looks like crap 🤣🤣🤣. I realised that once I put it on the car. Thanks for watching !
Hey brother watching now! Appreciate the tips. God bless, my friend 🙏🙏🙏✝️
Thank you brother !
There is a chrome powder coat that looks like perfect chrome after baking.
Cool. Never heard of it. Thanks for the feedback !

@@WilliamZuniga-gf1nb Thanks ! I did not know this.

Yes. I love it. Consensus is clear 😂
And the 4k clear coat tho expensive would most likely make a difference
Yes. This clear coat is pretty soft. Thanks for watching !
They both look good but personally I would paint them matte black, remember chrome doesn't get you home, liol
So true. Thanks Anthony
They both look good . 🎉
I Love the northern accent 😊.
@@larae75 Thank you ! Eastern Canada, and french lol
@@pstreetgarage7304
It’s awesome!! I live close to Kentucky and we have the southern drawllllllll. 😂
@@larae75 That is a cool accent !
@@pstreetgarage7304
No , not really ! 😂
Thanks alot for sharing
Thank you 👍👍👍
Cool car
Thanks man !
So, ah neither of those are high temp....i was expecting you to put them on and run the engine to see what happens to the paint...so what happened?
Actually I haven't done that lol. I suspect they will get black with soot and then rust 😂😂😂😂
Chrome paint needs gloss black undercoat to get best results.
Under the Chrome ? I have heard this before but don't really get it
I have a can of Chrome spray paint now, and it says to use a white base coat.
@@doutlaw7806 Interesting. Might be a good experiment lol I have heard of black but never white. Who knows
@@doutlaw7806 Different manufacturers require different base coats apparently. Rustoleum and Krylon required black.
Was any of that high temp?
No just regular
@@pstreetgarage7304 how’s it look now?
@@WhiskeyDents Still looks fine. Car will be garaged soon. Just built my garage finally. No more sitting out
@@pstreetgarage7304 very nice. Someday I’ll build a big shop
Polish them up a little bit and put fluid film on them
Thanks ! The car will be inside in the near future
Now the real test. One year test
I predict rust for both lol 😂. Thanks for watching !
Nooice! 😎 STOC
Thanks Dan !
Couldn't put them on upside down without moving the attachment screws? Those tips are notorious for rusting...and also fo falling off... 😂
I'm hoping they hold up with the paint and clear. They will be indoors now
Gloss clear wins
@@WhiskeyDents Thank you WD !!
Fake chrome
Modern chrome is a joke. Look at all the cars from the 40s and 50s in the junkyard. Chrome bumpers still look like new.
I know. Especially the Chrome over plastic 😳
