Fyi, I placed a jar opener underneath where you attach it to a table to keep it from slipping off the table. It works fairly well.

FYI… once it gets to a certain length, pull the icord through the cross hairs in the weight, it should be thick enough to hold it without a knot. Slide the weight up the icord as needed.

Oh! Thanks for the tip! I wonder if it would work with different yarn because this yarn was definitely just slipping through. 🤔

I'm not sure what your options are. I bought mine from Michaels.ca since I'm in Canada.

A hand knitted icord is three or four stitches

Thanks, I have lost my instruction leaflet. The question I have is what thickness of yarn can I use? I tried some DK but got into an awful mess! When the cord gets longer then you can untie the weight and simply pull the cord into the slot. Works perfectly. It is shown on a picture on the box

I no longer have the box lol but I do have the instruction booklet. It says it should be a smooth yarn, weight 0-3. According to the yarn craft council that is lace weight through dk. But there are some thick dk yarns that wouldn't work.
