I put mine together Monday, I thought I was sure to tear or break something. That gasket is a right tight fight. One caveat about the Apex/Synapse system, It's a closed ecosystem. It's unforgiving when it comes to customization, for the most part; many other picks will not fit, nor will many wrenches, not as they would in a tool roll, or say, a Sparrows Sherman case, still possibly my favorite for that reason, though the Synapse case has undeniable cool factor. And thanks for the doing the drop test so we didn't have to!
That was a really thorough and detailed review thanks so much for sharing.i have the evo 2 on its way but will be ordering the evo 4 as soon as funds allow as i love to hybrid pick and the evo 4 has the McTickler and double McTickler which im excited about!!!beautiful and functional set!!!
@ I love to hybrid pick and have fun with my locks and the McTickler is perfect for that.I would recommend trying one out I think you may be pleasantly surprised 👍🏻
Honestly, I was underwhelmed with the picks themselves. I love the idea, the tension wrench storage, etc. but the pick… The shanks are longer than anything else I own and I don’t like that feeling. The profiles are meh. I would consider buying individual pick sets and customizing the 5 picks, but it won’t be any of the apex profiles.

Can't wait to get my hands on the evo4. Hopefully sooner or later.
At least I'm not the only one who thought getting the case seated was incredibly difficult.
@@Type-IIx needed an extra tool get get the last bit on for sure! Nice and snug
Great video! I was shocked at how difficult it was to get it together when I got it yesterday.
@@JackRabbitLocksport the initial building of it is difficult for sure. Nice and strong once together though
Same. I had to fight with it a bit but I love how rugged it feels.

Very tight fit. Thankfully it's strong enough to handle using a tool to help get it on! Doing that actually gave my more confidence in the case.
love the handles. cant get over how bulky the case is. magnets are neat.
@@slappomatthew I'm loving the case myself. I plan on it being a travel/hiking case for it's protective qualities
Nice review! I got my fully loaded Apex yesterday. The case did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to testing out the picks. Cheers 🍻
Fully loaded was tempting for the price comparison

Do you really need a screwdriver for it?
@@TuMayPicking nope! Just helps make it easier
You have the rubber pieces on backwards, but whatever
Looked at the website when putting them on and just double checked the website. They are on correctly
@ it’s ambidextrous 🙄
The actual CI video where they demonstrate putting it on they talk directly about that it was intended to be reversible...
@ I actually didn't watch the video myself. Good to know. Thanks for sharing!
