House training your Maltipoo will be the most difficult training, as it is with all dog breeds, but do keep in mind that in general, this dog is on the “easy” side of the scale in regard to this.
If an owner follows the guidelines all of the time and has patience, this can go very well with minimal accidents and frustration.
Of course, a puppy is not born knowing that they are expected to go to the bathroom in a certain area. Some breeders will “pee pad” train puppies before they go to their new homes…But realistically, this is not actually training, as some breeders simply place down pee pads in a gated area, leaving the puppy no choice but to go to the bathroom on them. When you bring your Maltipoo home, you will need to begin proper training.

Hii! Tysm for these tips, my 2 month old malitpoo was always very bad at going potty. But after trying these tips she's been such a good girl!
We live in a 3rd floor flat (apartment) with an enclosed balcony.
Our little Malti-Poo at 6 weeks, was fully house-trained within one week .. having learned to use the balcony and a Baby 'Wickel' (an absorbent under pad used when changing baby nappies / diapers and such) and in return, she would get much applause and a 'treat'.
Today, 6 years later, she tends to 'hold' poo's (and mostly pee's too .. must have a reserve with which to 'make one's mark' 😁) for her twice-daily walks .. having her preferred 'spots' outside.
Newspaper now suffices on the balcony for the evening 'nocturnals' when she accompanies Dad to supervise his 'doings' 😏 and then while he is wetting his throat thereafter in the kitchen, goes out and does her thing, followed by, of course, a 'treat' 😊.
Mom too (she sleeps in the bed with us .. the Malti-Poo that is 😉). After that initial first week, I cannot recall a 'slip-up' .. ever!
The Apple of my eye she is .. 💕.
Very infornative.
My spy is both potty trained and we we pad but she does it outside the most, and she is a barrel full of energy💗💗💗💗
Great
Thanks for the tips. Will definitely start the potty training when we pick up our little girl this week. She will be 9 weeks old and 1 1/2 lbs so I'm assuming she might take awhile before she can hold her bladder for a couple of hours. Am I right?
Hi, We just picked ours up yesterday. He is now 9 weeks, and we take him out at all those times with the addition of every 30 minutes instead of 2 hours. I'm just curious how did it go ? And now you're at 11 months I assume? Thank you.
I just got a Maltipoo today and she hasn’t gone to the bathroom yet, thanks!
can you help me to get one
hello every one im looking for one and live in canda any one can help me find owner to get the dog thanks
I wish the printed captions would move a little slower BC sometimes. unintentionally you may get distracted from viewing at that moment. Therefore, missing some important or helpful step or steps.
What exactly do you do when the dog does pee/poop in the house? Do you take them outside, put them in a crate, or something else?
Uh I’m a lil confused still but I understood some of it
My daughter cottened on straight away
mine is peeing so much i need to take him out like every half hour / hour
I've been doing this for weeks and now I poop and pee in the same area as my dog... but since I'm no animal no need to bag my crap....
