I wish I would have found you sooner. I sold my 2004 Ram 2500 and am currently waiting on a new truck to be built. I sold a very nice slider 5th wheel hitch and spent big money on a new one for the factory puck system.. After seeing this video I now know I could have bought and adapter. Never would have guessed. Oh well.

Can you tow normal trailers or does the wheel lift get in the way?
It’s has a 2” receiver and can tow trailers just like any other pickup

As long as you don't tow anything heavy you will be fine, if you start towing a lot of full size cars and pu trucks, keep a eye on the frame between the cab and bed, dodge and chevy are bad about cracking there, also around where the wheel lift is mounted, and the aam rear ends are not very good, it will eat bearings doing this
The frame is reinforced and the rear end has been replaced

what kind of tires are on this truck? load rating?
Those were Sailun 265/19.5’s. Around 10k load rating on the back axle. But I took them off and put some normal lighter duty tires on it

No, that lift is definitely not made to be pulled on like that

I wish the manufacturers would increase camera options on trucks for those of us who use them for campers and trailers. There have been so many times that I had to have someone jump out and watch the turn for me so I did not crunch the bumper or trailer, especially backing it up in a tight spot.
