They Look Edible But These "Berries" Pack A Vicious Surprise 🍓⚠️

  • Lurking beneath the water's surface, a sinister invasion is unfolding. Disguised as harmless raspberry-like clusters, these egg clutches conceal a devastating threat - the apple snail. With a single female capable of laying up to 15,000 eggs annually, these invasive mollusks are rapidly spreading, devouring aquatic habitats and leaving no room for other life. Lacking natural predators, they seem unstoppable, potentially harboring toxins and parasites that even pose risks to human health. Authorities race to contain this environmental crisis, urging the destruction of both eggs and adult snails before it's too late.

Fr, in China (and some SEA countries) these snails resemble another kind that's non-toxic and edible. Just that the swirl on the shells are different. When the edible kind became super popular some a-holes found these toxic ones and tried to sell them. Many news of snail poisoning popped up in the papers.

He would come to the top of the tank and want me to hand feed him. Even felt his beak but never bit me. They live in harmony in the native waters as they only spawn a fraction of the eggs the invasive do and they arent as brightly colored. They are rather large and super intelligent.

*Notice how all these invasive species tend to come from Asia? I’m not saying anything, it just seems rather odd… It’s not like Australia introduced a few dozen insect species in China and destroyed their habitat… But yet if you watch one of the Aussie TV Shows about our Airport Security, you’d also notice how so many of the Asian tourists bring over things like illegal fruits, lie about having them, and then playing dumb when the items are found… Despite them outright denying it from the jump… Almost like there’s a certain continent filled with people who love visiting other beautiful countries and trying to destroy their wildlife… But that couldn’t happen right? I must be insane and these creatures are magically making their way to our lands… Makes perfect sense, if you’re “special”. 😂*
