When the witch told young Cersei her future she said "you will have 3 children. Gold will be their crowns and gold their shrouds."
A shroud is a ceremonial blanket used to cover the body of the dead.

The statue they pulled off the pyramid was a harpy, which is a sign of slavery, which Dany is trying to abolish in Mereen. Jon is NOTHING like Varys! Yes, they both want the overall good for everyone but thats where the similarities end.

Agreed. Jon is a good man but has NO political sense. He's just but has no pragmatism. Ned Stark in miniature.

Mance bending the knee wouldn't have any effect. If he bends the knee and takes this to his people, they wouldn't trust him anymore. They won't listen to him, and maybe some faction would kill him. The wildlings don't just follow him blindly. They follow the cause, that he would betray if he bent the knee. Maybe he could reason with some amount of them, but he has his own beliefs as well.

Nah, nah Sophie, Dany considers the dragons her children, and would never send them to kill each other! Besides, they are intelligent and would never attack another one of their siblings! The dragon that is still out and they can't find (Drogon) is the alfa!

Oh I don't know about that. Even through to the end of the eighth season, on anyone's first watch through, it's difficult to trust everyone's motivations, or your own view of it, 100%. Maybe it's just that you've watched it so many times by now, that you can't remember all the different phases of perspective people go through before they really have the story down and established a set perspective..

      @@LauraGS564 I happen to agree with you, 💯% but there's no need to make Mair & Sophie think they're not picking up on stuff, or not getting things -- things that people often don't get until they have the context of the complete series under their belts, or maybe even have read the books;
      context context context context.
I was objecting to what the commenter said: "... then you have missed a lot along the way."
The way the commenter is saying the channel reactor's are inattentive, or oblivious, when it's really just inexperience with the story (or lack of context).
I just feel like: why try to make people feel insecure (in any case), but ESPECIALLY when it's not warranted.
Anyway, if you feel that way about the last season, please join the club! Or I'll join yours!
Have you seen Glidus' GOT reviews on RUclips? You'd love them. Glidus. He also thinks the last season is horrible season and makes no sense. And he doesn't hold back! You'll feel better - I promise!
I'd paste a link, but you since you shouldn't click on links from strangers, just google:
      glidus season 8 pisstake
and the search results should give you his RUclips s8e1 review. It's the first in his GOT season 8 review playlist.
His content is for people who have already seen the series, so:
THERE ARE SPOILERS in ALL his content, for anyone who's reading this, who hasn't seen the whole GOT series.

I'm probably alone on this but, IMO, everyone misunderstands that scene with the dragons- including Dany.
I don't believe they are upset with her. If you watch again, one dragon shoots fire upward-- to light the room. They never overtly threaten her. She panics and leaves, but I really believe they were just showing her how big they'd gotten. More like Mommy!! we missed you!! look at us!! I think we forget that Dany doesn't really know much about the history of her people's relationships with dragons in terms of how to raise or train or understand them. She's just been winging it thus far. And they are dragons. They're big and scary❣️

As for the episode... It was great to get that glimpse into Cersei's past. She has been dealing with growing paranoia, I'd say - after Joff's death.
Pay attention to how Stannis is with Jon and what he says about him.

@@audreyhepburns If you look deeper it wasn't honestly. I won't go into details here because of spoilers for these two. But the thing that happens at the start of 6x10 makes absolutely no sense in hindsight and was just a way for D&D to wrap up plotlines quickly with some spectacle. GoT honestly started to fall off in season 4 with the omission of Lady Stoneheart, among other things. It just got more noticeable later on.
