Just to clearify, to anyone who forgot it, in the first episode it's shown to us that Stolas can use magical bubbles to spy on Blitz. that's how he knew they needed help
I rewatch the whole series when this episode came out knowing there going to be callbacks. I noticed the magic spy bubbles too
@Perla Lopez Gomez how you know? Cuz didn’t see anything in the episode that could alert him to their problems. Didn’t see anything else in other episodes that shows how else he could see them
I saw a lot of comments on the original video saying that Stolas knew because Blitzo uploaded that selfie with the head to the IMPS instagram and he typically stalks that. Vizzie does have an official IMPS instagram where she uploads blooper images and in between episode shots of the demons doing things.
Or there is a tracer on the book.

My understanding is Alastor is more powerful than any HUMAN born overlord. Stolas is an actual Hell native (unlike even Lucifer). Add to the fact Stolas has already demonstrated a frightening amount of power.
Episode 5: He opened a portal from Earth to The Ring of Wrath to shower the harvest with what appears to be a Blood Moon.
Episode 6: He's able to physically influence the mortal world from Hell. He's able to possess human beings. He's able to use corpses as puppets to draw a summoning circle to pull him onto earth. All *without* his book.
Episode 2: He petrified an imp with just a stare. And the following, I think are his strongest feats. He opened a portal to a star that was about to go Supernova. This means he opened up a portal at least 50 LIGHTYEARS away from Earth. (A Light Year is 5.89 TRILLION miles!) He's aware of what's going on in outer space in real time, and doesn't have to wait the decades to thousands of years for light to reach us.. He was able to not just protect himself and Octavia from the vacuum of space, he was able to protect them from the radiation and explosion of the Supernova. The reason that star has to be at least 50 light years from Earth is because any closer and the Supernova would literally destroy the earth once the Shockwave and radiation hit us, And Stolas sat right up its ass and tanked the hit.

I love how Blitzø’s hallucination shows how much he’s actually scared of being left behind by his friends, that’s character development right there

I agree, Stolas’ entrance makes me want to see the equivalent in someone like Alastor or Charlie from Hazbin Hotel. I’d love to see them transform into their full demon forms

I ADORE Moxxie's Bad Trip song. The lighting the music, the beat, Moxxie actually coming to terms with himself and his insecurities during his hallucinations and working it out afterwards, it's all SO GOOD. And there's a few instances of Moxxie Mickey Mousing-where a character moves to the beat of a song. It doesn't often happen in live action OR animated things anymore, because it was so overused, but it's nice to see it once in a while in those MCU tribute videos and here where Moxxie steps to the beat of the song. Can't imagine how many hours it took to get that just right.

"You know my name, use it." Keeps hitting me as a really impactful one, it summarizes so much of Blitzo's character
The way Stolas showed up at 19:30 his appearance reminded me a lot of old school Raven from Teen Titans. You know that one scene where Raven has to overcome her fear during the rainstorm episode, and when she finally overcomes her fear, a Giant Shadowy Raven spreads its wings over the Titan Tower and the entire city?! Stolas was very reminiscent of that scene for me. Pure terror 🤯🤩
Edit: the episode was episode 18, or the 5th episode of Season 2, titled “Fear Itself.”

I think that part of Raven's character might have been inspired by Stolas himself from the Lower Keys of Solomon because in many depictions of Stolas, he is either described as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs. And he's in command of 26 legions in hell. Just thought of throwing that one in there 😅

I thought that shadowy four eyed owl form of his looked familiar! It reminded me so much of Raven's powers or her soul self, especially the manifestations of her fears in that episode.
I like the little detail of how Blitzos head symbol is normally that skull heart, but in bot their halucinations its a broken heart. But when hes climbing the stairs and the gunk gets cleared from his face the broken heart changes to the skull.

Because there's another serious threat to not only the I.M.P., but now to Hell itself in the show

@@generalbadger3458 Yeah, Alastor is perhaps the strongest "Damned" (Not sure if his main rival Vox is a Damned Soul or an actual Demon) but even he knows he can't go toe to toe with an actual Prince.
Stolas had this entire horrifying scene of possessing the agents and draw the summoning circle to bring him out to the human world... but then right after show us he can just open a portal and walk right on through. Definitely chose presentation over simplicity. Gotta love it! And as for what D.H.O.R.K.S. stands for, I imagine the first part is Demon Hunting Organization, but no idea on the rest.

What I love about Stolas entry is the choir music in the back ground. It sounds so heavenly when it couldn’t be farther from the truth.
One of my favorite moments was Stolas coming in. The imps are great at killing yes but for Stolas he doesn't even need to kill someone to show that he is a major threat. Also he doesn't need the book to travel Stolas in the first episode said that he needed the book to do his job but we just saw him tear open a portal through reality without even trying.
I tend to think he needs the book to at least be close by. I think the reason he entered the way that he did was because he actually couldn't just tear a portal open to get there. He had to use demonic influence to possess a mortal, and use them to summon himself, a method which might be more costly since it requires the use of mortals to accomplish.
@@Klokkwork Or it could be that the portals, while something the book allows others to use, isn't the part of his Job he needs it for.
@@Chokah True, though the one time we've seen him request the book, it was to open a portal to allow the Harvest Moon to shine down upon the festival, and we've seen him use the book to open a portal when he was singing to Octavia. It's just my best guess given the available info, definitely can't say for certain though.
I think as people pointed out, Stolas needs the book for other purposes. My theory is that for Stolas to travel without book, he needs a definite location, his sigil, and a host to exit out of as seen in this ep. So Stolas def can, it's just against the rules and a matter of having hosts.
He needed to possess the corpses of the agents and make them draw the Goetia sigil to summon him from hell to phisically enter the Human world. So yes, he doesn't strictly need the book, but it makes things a lot simpler.
He probably has a lot of sigils at home, so to travel back is easy.
Here's a fun fact for you, Stolas isn't just a character in this show, he's been recorded since the 14th century as a fallen angle and prince of Hell, and the seal thats drawn to summon him in the episode is the Seal of Stolas from The Lesser Key of Solomon

This episode had me screaming, man. The musical was great, the humor had me rolling, all of it.
They keep topping themselves every episode. This was fantastic. I understand why it took them a while to release it lol.
Stolas is a real demon in demonology! And he's actually known to be one of the more benevolent beings you can interact with. He's a scholar, an educator in astrology and several other fields for those who summon him.
He is acknowledged as being dangerous but no less known for being benevolent as demons go
The story just keeps going from strength to strength and the animation level in this one was just beyond par. The extra month or so to get this done was totally worth it for the quality as well as the extra length of the episode.
I also had laugh when Moxie and Blitzø were making fun of them, I couldn’t help of how Moxie laugh🤣😂😂
I'm glad this show took their time with this episode. The animation was better than the recent Seven Deadly Sins season. 😆

I would give anything to see a crossover with Blitzo and Rick Sanchez.
That would be interesting. I might be wrong, let me know if I am, but I think Rick is an antithesis to Blitzo. Blitzo has personality and smiles, even cracks a joke every so often, while Rick just doesn't care and buries it all in booze. Again, might be wrong.
@@wendigo-yt They're actually almost identical except for that one characteristic, but even that distinction is murky. Blitzo and Rick are both heavy party people who use fun and biting sarcasm to distract from their nihilistic loneliness and self-hatred, but those characteristics are more pronounced in Rick Sanchez, though to be fair that's probably because Rick has had 5 seasons of character development whereas Blitzo has only had 6 episodes and a pilot. But I think a deep examination would find that the two are nearly the same in terms of their character.

I want a live action version of Stolas’ entrance. Actually the entire episode, but I’d be happy with just that entrance.
Love this episode that was bloody awesome and funny as hell,it shows the truth and struggles with Blitzo and Moxxie in a twisted way and I can't wait for the next one,but it a shame that it would be the finale of the season.
And there will be second season, as Viv had confirmed that she already started writing the script for next season.

Could it be possible that Blitzø has Philophobia (fear of falling in love). It is an extreme case, where philophobia can make people feel isolated and unloved.

What's interesting is Moxxie's hallucination is clearly based off the Phantom of the Opera, where the titular phantom is played by actor Michael Crawford. Why that name is farmiliar with fans of the show is that's the man Moxxie wanted to know how sex with him was like, as revealed by Millie in Ep. 3

I really enjoyed how they told us really how Moxxie and Blitz felt during their hallucinations. You don't get to know much personally about them and their past especially Blitz with him being secretive about his emotions, but with all the info in Blitz's hallucination it tells us a lot. I don't know if it was mentioned or anything before but I was interested in the Jester like outfit for Blitz, it makes me think maybe it symbolises what his past was like and why he finally took control and made I.M.P (maybe because he was sick of being under control). Aswell maybe it could symbolise him feeling like a joke compared to everyone and, everyone always takes advantage of him (this theory sounds accurate compared to the info said and shown). Excuse me if I got carried away or got some stuff wrong lol I just thought it was a cool theory :)
The character development in this episode was amazing as well, I love how it shows how much Blitz really cares about his team especially Moxxie and, it showing more of Luna in the action helps us know a bit more about her.
Pretty sure the jester costume is just a reference to him being in the circus in the past

I heard at some point that the summoning spell used for Stolas to show up also prevents him from harming anyone. If this information is correct, that's the reason he didn't even touch the humans. He just wanted to scare the crap out of them.
