I watched that video earlier, I noticed that immediately and was really confused. Another thing is they have stone axes in the animation, whereas they have iron axes in game
it may be intentional since "evokers" are not "vindicators", could mean steveee just brought something to mind and has brought nothing to justice
or i can be an literature teacher with my skill of reading too much into it....
and the way phoenix did it, if steveee tried to defend himself again from my interpretation of this then people would call him ridiculous because he "read too much into it"

Although I lost a deep interest in Minecraft a while ago, Phoenix still remains one of my favorite RUclipsrs of all time for this reason. He’s just one hell of a personality and is the type of guy I wish I had as a friend irl lol. So indeed. Never change.

Knowing how games are this can be true in some cases but not all, unfortunately Stevee did not give enough evidence to cut himself free and instead just showed how lazy he himself is.

Honestly, Phoenix did something extremely wise. He didn't get down to the level of Steeve, he simply ignored him because what Steeve did is horrible.

What the other youtubers "copied" was very often through: Reddit links, specific people asking to showcase, showcasing it(aka, not presenting as their own work), shouting someone out before, during or after the build and giving credit. Not a single idea is posted as their own.

@@th8386 don't think so, phoenix, makenstein, etc. made their own versions of it. their own datapacks. however ppl like stevve just downloaded the datapack other people made, made a video on it and gave 0 credits to the person who made those datapacks.
using a concept/taking inspiration to make something is not wrong, but stealing something, making a video on it and giving no credits to the person who made it is wrong. not to mention he watermarks his "showcases" with his name, even though he did not make it

The best defense: simply showing the accusation to the audience and moving on to more pressing matters, because you know their allegations are too weak to matter.
It’s a great way to deal with the problem without escalation or feeding Steeveee’s attention-seeking behavior.
Eh if it’s so outlandish that you know your fan base would side with you even without addressing it then ignoring it is best option. Don’t feed into their ego or attention seeking personality and they’ll absolutely lose it

I took the part where they talk about the evokers as a defense by showing an example of where they (at least often) gets their ideas, their subreddit. Then, showing how it turns into a video.

The same thing technically happened with that vegan teacher too, her break outs and how she always pointed at big youtubers was just so she could look crazy and gain attention
At this point steveee is just dodging the accusations, there is a massive difference between inspiration with crediting an idea and just blatantly taking a video and putting your own watermark on it without mentioning the original creator
It’s what we in the Touhou community call “dodging into a bullet and bombing at all the wrong times”
He also needs to learn that credit does not necessarily clear up everything. It’s very unlikely that everyone will go to the original video, and some people might not be comfortable with having something they made be used by other people, that of course did not make the thing that they made.
not to mention that some of the ideas in question are so basic that they could have easily been conceptualized independently.
no one content creator has exclusive rights to "long piston." iirc the original mod that inspired the official pistons had ones that could push further than 1 block, meaning that idea has been present in the community _since before pistons were even implemented into the game._

I don't know why I laughed so hard when the video ended.
I was just watching, diligently waiting for him to make a point and bring it back to the point of this video. Then I realised that those weren't evokers and I forgot all about the point of this video for a second. Then just as I remembered about the drama, I checked how much time was left for Pheonix to tie everything together and the video ended.

It's funny that Steveee is accusing PhoenixSC for "stealing", which is actually just coding cursed images in the game that takes several hours of work and a very good knowledge of code in the first place, all while Steveee literally spends 10-20 minutes to cut/edit others content 💀(which takes way less skill than learning how to code)

Explanation of why he isnt guilty:
1. Long pistons are a common idea, ive even thought of it before
2. The bug was taken from either reddit or the bug report, maybe reddit took it from megamanny but its a bug anyway

Stevee really just said “we steal ideas and convert them to short videos and we can’t credit them because we can’t find the sources, we are demonstrating this by showing you the fact we found the source.”
The fact that he mentions how the big RUclipsrs are “bullying” him makes me wonder if he’s a young kid, who may be unaware how plagiarism works and how it affects the original creators. I dunno, just a theory.

I stopped watching Steevee ages ago, unsure why but this only cements that I will never return. Phoenix, your reasoning was so bulletproof and obvious that I felt like a fool for even watching Steevee years ago. Absolutely congratulations on the global peace award btw.

Oh, wow, Stevee. I had no idea Phoenix SC would steal the idea of longer pistons from someone else. It's completely impossible that he could have done this crazy thing called coming up with the idea on his own. I can't believe that Phoenix didn't think of pistons but longer many years after the first video about it came out. Long pistons is such an incredible and crazy idea, no wonder he had to steal it. He couldn't possibly have thought of it himself!
