Saint Michael was not meant be commercially successful. No promotion no nothing. He’s just getting out of the contract. And it is the best music he dropped in 2023 better than mansion musik and allty5
I was always torn on Trippy. Some songs I really like but him as a person not so much. With that being said, I think the realest Trippy was in this video was near the end when asked about his time during the SoundCloud days. He said he lost some of the only people that he could just call and really connect with, I've pulled back my feelings of "you reap what you sow" and softened up towards Trippy a bit. He's gonna have to work his ass off to keep a career in music but I don't feel him falling off is something he "deserves" in a negative sense.
How he treated his fans by not giving a fuck about them at shows and then lying about it too, nah man, its a privilege making art, if you dont appreciate it, there are enough talented people outthere who will.
@@psysports9666 I feel that, or even being difficult to interview and generally just being too stoned to make sense sometimes. He def made his own bed.
As a newer fan, I really liked Saint Michael and more than half of Mansion Musik. I think he’s so versatile it’s hard to be in one genre or really build a good fan base. @@ryan_parkrr I listened, it’s good! Thank you. It got better as it went on. Now I realize why I like Saint Michael, no features. Most of his features be ruining songs for me!
I feel bad for the X and Trip situation. Its similar to Peep and Tracy, X n Trip were very, very close homies and brothers, they had a falling out, like most friendships do and sadly they never got to resolver their differences. Be real, think. It probably haunts Trip to this day that they never got to settle their issues, even tho they beefed, they will have loved each other deep down still. Not dicking riding or any of that shit im just being real.
His music was completely unique up until !. Like before that I think he created his own genre of music that he has since left and nobody could ever really copy. It was like psychedelic drug hip hop, with some of the best examples being, It Takes Time and the entirety of allty2. And then he would mix that with more mainstream shit like a lot of allty3 and life’s a trip. Plus he’s pulled a good amount of image bullshit that pissed people off
He'll come back, it's just a matter of time, he's producing a lot because of his recent deal he got. However, he has to be cautious not to destroy his career before that
I ain’t even know he was finna be on Gods plan , he sold that 😭 But old Trippe was tuff . I just think he needs focus more on his quality than quantity cause he got talent but needed use it efficiently
I think Trippie needs someone on his team like what DJ Esco is to Future. Just another person with a great ear for music (a DJ, producer, friend, etc.) to help with his song selection for albums. DJ Esco mentioned in a recent documentary that he does this for Future for some of his albums. He explained it like… artists who are constantly making music can sometimes forget the songs/verses they recorded 100 songs ago so he helps Future sort through that work and pull out the right stuff. Esco also mentioned how artists are emotionally attached to their work and sometimes need an unbiased ear to put songs together on an album that fans and other listeners would enjoy (clubs, commercials, radio, etc.) while still staying true to the artists vision.
Nibba Saint Michael wasnt even promoted and didnt even had a single so of course he knew that its not gonna sell too much cuz he dropped that album just for fans and to finish his contract deal
Kinda messed up but imagine Trippie died in 2018: He would be just as big of a name as X and Juice in my opionion. One of the few mainstream rap artists who has real talent for music
real artists grow with their music. Hes still a teenager with the mindset of clowning on others with his success and doesnt focus on his music, which has been terrible and that his whole problem
That’s cap it’s true that they died and blew them but juice & x were even bigger alive than him and I don’t think even if he died he would be big as them
Saint Michael V2 is really good.. I found it two months after it dropped.. I think rappers need to get back to marketing themselves better.. Also taking a long time in between projects can help or hurt your career.. I think he just need to focus on marketing cus when you dive into the recent albums hes dropped, he has some really good songs out there..
Honestly 2023 just was NOT his year. This could pottentially be the end of his career, but I still have faith that he could pick it up again, I mean he did it before in 2021 but it would take something big. Maybe a duo album with someone else?
y'all people make me sick like you don't appreciate his music just because of the low sales numbers? that's so stupid, stop looking at numbers and enjoy the music, he still releasing bangers after bangers
@rishavfash1r What are you talking about??? Trippie has never fallen off and is actively making great music. In fact he's, hold up let me look it up, the #195 ranked artist on Spotify in the WORLD, which easily makes him a top 30 in the rap genre. So the next time you're a top 200 artist in the world, then you can tell Trippie how he's "fallen off". What a restarred. smh
If u were there back in like late 2016 part of the reason his name started buzzing was because everyone said he sounded like Uzi. Uzi made p’s and q’s and then trippie made q’s and p’s.
Trippie will always be my favorite artist because of the classics he put out in the past, but I will admit that the quality of his music has been declining. He still has the power to make good music, but he keeps putting out mid songs. There's a song on Saint Michael called "Psychotic Lunatic" which was better than most of the songs on ALLTY5. I feel like he should be more focused on listening to his fans if he wants to sell those big numbers again. Also, emo rap has been dead for years so it's not going to hit anymore, especially since the ppl he usually collabed with aren't here anymore (RIP X & Juice)
Falling off does not mean an artist reaching the end of their run. Falling off usually implies they didn't get a full career or their potential wasn't fully realized.
Tf love letter 5 was pretty decent, nowhere near bad. It would definitely have been received better if Trippie actually advertised the Album. I didn’t even know it came out until 2 days after it’s release
He has 24 million monthly streams on spotify. I think he's doing just fine. If you compare that to other artists from his era, he's doing great actually.
Inflated numbers in the industry and a lot of those plays from his old catalog. His new ep selling 7k first week is not good by any stretch imagine I gave u 30 million and your last 3 projects didnt recoup a fraction of what I paid u smh
Question, how many fakin' they streams? (A lot) Gettin' they plays from machines? (A lot) I can see behind the smoke and mirrors Niggas ain't really big as they seem (hmm)
1. buying music shows actual support, pressing the play button is something even a baby can do 2. streams can be bought 3. those streams are barley coming from his newer albums

@@Jordyyyyyyy trippies love scars is way better than uzi😃
At this point, i dont think trippy cares about being mainstream, hes just focusing on his fans and what hes got. I personally liked allty5 and his new saint michaels project. IMO hes making music thats dying out and its dying because “its not something people wanna hear” but i do LOL
Y'all Love to hate I swear When Life's a Trip 2 Comes Out he's taking his time with that and I have faith he's gonna deliver
Ive slowly watched trippies carrier go down hill and its really sad to see. He was one of my favorite artists back in the emo rap/soundcloud wave era and I still wanna say he is one of my favorites but its hard when hes not really putting in the effort he used to. Someone else said that its not fun for him anymore because all the people he came up with have passed away and he probably hasnt had time to grieve and I think thats def possible. If he took a break and spent some time to grieve and be with his son I think/would hope that he can come back fresh and drop some real heat
Saaaameeeeeee
When it comes to people doing what they love, y’all really gotta stop throwing around the ‘word’ humble because quite frankly y’all either don’t know the meaning of the word or you are using it in the wrong context. If you strive for greatness and believe in yourself the last thing you want to be is humble.
trippie is certified. you can’t deny his best work. just rn isn’t his turn. he has the talent to drop a hit at any time.
FACTS
Video just full of misinformation, saint Michael was not an album for his contract, it was meant to be a SoundCloud drop after a bunch of songs leaked earlier that month, it was an EP 7 songs then he added 7 later as a second EP, not an album and it wasnt earlier this year, it was literally last month.
Chief keef Produced the entirety of MM it was not stealing his style.
Saint Michael again was not an album, it wasnt even promoted as such, literally just dropped like hate is dead did in 2021.
ys it on spotify then?
@@rishavfash1rbecause van Cleef was going viral and they decided last minute to put it on all platforms. It being on Spotify doesn't mean it's a studio album, considering it's 7 songs which is an EP by every measure, songs added weeks later was also a second EP fans asked for. Y'all let fictional numbers dictate music, using an EP as a sign of a fall off is desingenious
@@kevinrolle3517 fried his ass lmao 🤣
@@kevinrolle3517that’s not good for a nigga with 24 million Spotify listeners he should never do below 10 k for 7 songs and u know the label bought some albums .with that math he drops 20 songs he would 20-25 k lucki sold 20 k first week and he’s basically underground.
Him being cocky definitely contributed to his downfall
I’m not tryna be that guy but a lot of the stuff you said in this video was just flat out wrong or a lie. Just keep it 100 no disrespect
It’s sad nobody is honest about trippie
Bro tbh I don’t understand why everyone always targets out trippie the entire hip hop music industry has hit a huge incline it’s not even the number genre anymore shit getting out sold by country music and latin music but yet trippie get targeted 🤦🏾

Bro this man is trash you clowns probably teenagers 😂😂😂😂
@@Starry_Dupreebro selling 7k first week is underground rapper territory u don’t ever wanna go there when u sold 100k plus hes young 2 smh
At least he is alive
Saint Michael was not meant be commercially successful. No promotion no nothing. He’s just getting out of the contract. And it is the best music he dropped in 2023 better than mansion musik and allty5
lol yeah the label loved that 30 million for u to drop a bunch of flops
we use blackballing in this community so freely😂 we gotta stop saying artists get blackballed when they fall off
I was always torn on Trippy.
He def made his own bed.
it’s trippie lil bro not trippy
he literally dissed x the day before he died lmao
@@TheSunKinghe didn’t diss x the day before he died lol
Trippy did not ruined his career stunted it's growth maybe but he still a big artist
As a newer fan, I really liked Saint Michael and more than half of Mansion Musik. I think he’s so versatile it’s hard to be in one genre or really build a good fan base. I did see him perform this past summer, I thought he put on a good show and the crowd loved it. I only knew Dark knight dummo lol, he’s so young and has a huge catalog. I hope he can bounce back! He’s super talented.
Id really recommend giving allty4 a listen, it has almost no skips trust
@@ryan_parkrr I’ll give it a listen, thanks for the recommendation
@@ryan_parkrr I listened, it’s good! Thank you. It got better as it went on. Now I realize why I like Saint Michael, no features. Most of his features be ruining songs for me!
@@jessunpolished2147 Really? I appreciated all of the features on ALLTY4, with the exception of Youv Dee on Bust Down Duex
Worst part is that X died on trippie's birthday...
so trippe fed x drugs to make him go on even tho he didnt wanna do it anymore and let him die alone on a couch? gotcha
@@mornotafiJune 18???
2:22 thats a common misconception, weeks before he passed they publicly made up
To say love scars by trippie is forgotten is a WILD statement
Its true
@foeloko8366 fuk no, views go up every year, its a soundcloud classic
If you guys want old trippie back listen to his new project. Some of it is actual heat.
Him and X made up from what I remember. X sent him a plaque for Fuck Love and they got on FaceTime and squashed it.
Guess Trippie being on that song just wasn’t Gods Plan…
Idc what anyone says I still love trippie
I’m so glad trippie wasn’t on God’s plan
Shout out to all the Trippie fans coming out the woodworks this video wrong as hell lmfaoo
However, he has to be cautious not to destroy his career before that
Me first

Saint Michael's was incredible
I ain’t even know he was finna be on Gods plan , he sold that 😭 But old Trippe was tuff . I just think he needs focus more on his quality than quantity cause he got talent but needed use it efficiently
Am I the only one who likes MANSION MUSIK😭
Saint Michael was a great album, I ain’t even know he was down bad. Could’ve fooled me, I still fuck with him tho
I still like trippie
Same here

I think Trippie needs someone on his team like what DJ Esco is to Future. Just another person with a great ear for music (a DJ, producer, friend, etc.) to help with his song selection for albums. DJ Esco mentioned in a recent documentary that he does this for Future for some of his albums. He explained it like… artists who are constantly making music can sometimes forget the songs/verses they recorded 100 songs ago so he helps Future sort through that work and pull out the right stuff. Esco also mentioned how artists are emotionally attached to their work and sometimes need an unbiased ear to put songs together on an album that fans and other listeners would enjoy (clubs, commercials, radio, etc.) while still staying true to the artists vision.
i hate trippie but theres no way u think uzis luv scars is more timeless than trips love scars
It is. Luv is rage 1.5 is one of the best EP of all time
Nibba Saint Michael wasnt even promoted and didnt even had a single so of course he knew that its not gonna sell too much cuz he dropped that album just for fans and to finish his contract deal
That’s cap it’s true that they died and blew them but juice & x were even bigger alive than him and I don’t think even if he died he would be big as them
Trippie hadn't delivered as much as X. While Trippie is a really talented artist, X was more than an artist
Trippie for sure can make a comeback and he will trust
This video is subjective and not factual
is it just me who actually thought saint michael v2 was pretty good
V1 and 2 are some of his best work in years
@@frankiesinn3557 fax glad im not the only one
Honestly 2023 just was NOT his year. This could pottentially be the end of his career, but I still have faith that he could pick it up again, I mean he did it before in 2021 but it would take something big. Maybe a duo album with someone else?
1 thing u didn't cover was that a love letter to you 5 had 2 years of hype. He announced it in 2022 and was even suppose to drop that year.
Whole project was leaked and that’s the reason we randomly got MM and ALLTY5 v2
y'all people make me sick like you don't appreciate his music just because of the low sales numbers? that's so stupid, stop looking at numbers and enjoy the music, he still releasing bangers after bangers
What a restarred. smh
trippie didn’t copy lil uzi on love scars tf are u talking about? Also it is memorable, possibly trippie reds best song
If u were there back in like late 2016 part of the reason his name started buzzing was because everyone said he sounded like Uzi. Uzi made p’s and q’s and then trippie made q’s and p’s.
@@happyzombie24 let’s be real trippie sounded nothing like uzi in love scars tho

@@HristinaNicole that 2020 era hit different fr
Trippie had Luv scares first uzi got it from Kodie Shane
Trippie will always be my favorite artist because of the classics he put out in the past, but I will admit that the quality of his music has been declining. He still has the power to make good music, but he keeps putting out mid songs. There's a song on Saint Michael called "Psychotic Lunatic" which was better than most of the songs on ALLTY5. I feel like he should be more focused on listening to his fans if he wants to sell those big numbers again. Also, emo rap has been dead for years so it's not going to hit anymore, especially since the ppl he usually collabed with aren't here anymore (RIP X & Juice)
You have to do better research my friend... L on some of this but keep going man
Trippie did not destroy his career you draggin it💀
Trippie redd is “falling off” because people want him to fall off , A love letter to you 5 was amazing fuck sales fuck the bullshit
Exactly folks go with popular opinions
Falling off does not mean an artist reaching the end of their run. Falling off usually implies they didn't get a full career or their potential wasn't fully realized.
dishonest title, he still has 20 million + monthly listeners on spotify, his career isnt destroyed, not even close

No one said Allty5 was gonna be his biggest album even his fans knew that. Saying it would be his best work was false tho
Tf love letter 5 was pretty decent, nowhere near bad. It would definitely have been received better if Trippie actually advertised the Album. I didn’t even know it came out until 2 days after it’s release
He’s so corny. Face tats look fake and bad doesn’t inhale weed
I think he still a good artist 💯
he didnt black ball himself he just sucks, if he made a good song it would go number 1 he just sucks
Even if trippie does fall off and isn’t as relevant it still won’t change he truly the goat of the soundcloud era
Fall off reaper is the craziest statement I’ve ever heard in 2024
He's a top 3 artist for me I'll keep listening to him... I hope he can come back at some point though
(A lot)
Gettin' they plays from machines? (A lot)
I can see behind the smoke and mirrors
Niggas ain't really big as they seem (hmm)
1. buying music shows actual support, pressing the play button is something even a baby can do
2. streams can be bought
3. those streams are barley coming from his newer albums
trippie redd will never fall off
Pegasus could’ve definitely sold more but it leaked 2 months before it dropped
Music evolves. look at carti . Look at Yachty. wish nothing but the best for trippie .
saying he called x a woman in replacement for b* is crazy 😂
Hell nah, bruh he hella underrated and one of the most versatiliest in the game
