There've several docs of PBS about this place. Some parts of the artifact originate in Whales, next to a trade route between the Eastern portion of what is now Great Britain and Ireland. Later these stones were transported to where they are now and added to; their role was in part of a gathering place for feasts of several times a year held by the peoples as far away as the Orkney Islands, who traveled there several times a year there, by the radioisotopes of the various celebratory meals remains from long ago. This went on for a couple of centuries and then stopped. There are several elaborate graves there too that date from this time. Later there were the Beaker People in the area, then the local attitudes changed.

I don't remember when but when I first seen pictures of Stobehedge the first thing I thought of was that it's been knocked apart and that it was a place for a "flying saucer" to land on. Lol that was my thought back then. 😁
