People in the past made a big deal out of things like the summer and winter solstice. One of the stones in the circle, along with another stone outside the circle were naturally occurring and lined up exactly with the sun setting (or rising, not sure) on the summer solstice. It stands to reason that this is why people built stone henge around it, to immortalize it. This kind of thing has been done multiple times throughout history so there's no reason that this would be any different.
The gods tell me that the standing stones were all carved from a single piece of stone, a large boulder which already existed where the circle now resides. The builders started from the top and sculpted their way down from the top of the rock and formed and refined the standing stone shapes.
Stone Henge is a druid ring used as anchor point for druid ports. The idea behind that “ancient” or “older” generations of humans could use magic is because they could connect with the earth and it was necessary to connect with at the time to live and survive. According to myths and legends, humans were far more adventurous and thrill seeking than people today. And as the centuries followed, humans slowly started to learn more about how to use matter instead of controlling it, so then adapted to that style of living instead. I’m a firm science believer but I really love mythology and it’s honestly fascinating how it could have been possible for us to airbend and stuff.

I know how they did it. They made large, water tight crates and filled them with water. Then they built a second layer of air tight wood and placed it on top of the water. Then they placed the stones onto the top layer of wood and used the pressure of the trapped water to provide buoyancy to negate the weight of the stone. Then they used animals to pull the entire crates, which yes had many rotating logs underneath it, and hauled them to where ever they wanted. Once there they would position the crates to the proper placement. Release one side of the crates water causing the stone to drop on one side and slide off the crate. Also it was built as a tribute to the Atlanteans for the knowledge they shared.
There was a video of a man who figure out that all it took was wedging. It was so effective that it can move insane large tons of rock even buildings in weight. If you know physics then all it took was simple one or two man power to build the structure from just wedging like a Crowbar. Now you may wonder how you can lift the stone up right it was simple as slowly stacking wood underneath the stone while wedging until you got it up high enough. Then dig hole deep enough next to it and make a fall into it to stand up right.
The truth is that Stonehenge was built between 1901-1961. Before that it was just a pile of rocks that looked out of place. If it was a structure before we have no idea what it actually looked like.

No mention of the monument's alignment with the winter solstice, which gave rise to the druid origin belief. Also, noting that it is a circular monument means that the builder's, or at least the head builders, would have had to understand the geometry of the wheel, even if it is rolling logs. No mention of the human remains found in and around the site, many of which date back to the earliest times of the monument's existance. It does seem to give the impression that the site was built for worshiping and honouring the dead. They should call it Ikea-Henge. All you needed to re-assemble it was a phillips head stalactite.
The sarcasm is strong with this one.
One of the better experts to check out is the work of Professor Michael Parker Pearson, who has headed the archaeological investigations into Stonehenge for the last few years.
