Oh please. In a society catered to men thanks to freaking America and a lot of the world refusing to change... i think theres nothing wrong with having songs aimed at girls. Everyone has their own taste in music.... because we CHOOSE what music we want to listen to. True music artists dont have to worry about this at all... they just make their music the way they want to because they love making music at all. We know theyre good if they have a diverse fanbase and a unique style.. She claims shes the first gay artist startinf this big revolution. Uh... Freddie Mercury? Lady Gaga? Freaking Green Day whose lead singer is bi and managed to DEFINE 90s punk? Hell no. Stop pandering. Find a real identity.... and make real music instesd of buying songs from people... still gotta feel bad for what the parents put her through tho

She's a great example of what growing up sheltered turns you into. She has ZERO self-awareness, but also no awareness regarding others either. The concerns she has are so invalid because they're incredibly immature and near-sighted. She really is still a child, and it's incredibly uncomfortable to see her trying to be mature with none of the qualities required to make it seem legitimate. Alright, you know what? Respect for her here, this is a good stance. It seems like in media today, whether it’s music or movies or tv shows or books or any number of other things, it’s always some variation of “girls rule, boys drool.” Like girls and women are amazing, but boys and men? Pssh, they suck, don’t they? So it’s cool that Jojo wanted to do a song that included everyone being “super” and not just one gender or the other.

I think apples are delicious. But that doesn't mean an orange would be left out of the market and won't sell. Empowering women or girls doesn't mean we're completely locking boys and men in the basement and excluding them from the narrative. Some songs are more specific than others. I don't see what's wrong with the Every girl is a supergirl song.

What this she is trying to convey is that there are many typically feminine but boys that would like to feel included as well as many boys that think they many be on the non binary spectrum, that would also like to feel that this song is about them.
