I love how the rhythm between each "exhale" and "inhale" is fast, almost overlapping each other. So it's not just a "breath", it's almost desperation, reaching out for air, hiperventilating. Just try breathing following as Aurora sings, and you'll see. There's this feeling of urgency, and it really fits with the overall theme of the way us humans are changing nature, and how we should worry about the consequences of this.

I exactly felt that especially now when in my environmentalist journey I'm at a point where everything feels hopeless because people are now more focused on being materially rich than connecting back to mother nature who is the true treasure. It was a pleasure to experience the concert with you all- I think by far the most emotional part for me was in between songs, I started crying- and moments later Aurora said 'Its okay to cry'. The whole experience was absolutely magical- though the real magic is knowing I was able to share the experience with so many people all at once, so many lights burning together in harmony to a melody that reached us all deep inside- Truthfully a magical experience that I thank Aurora, ThatGameCompany, And all of you for! ♡

This song is telling us to exhale and then inhale. Try doing it in time with her words (if you are in a safe space and have no health issues) and I can tell you it is not a calming experience. I can’t get over the fact that the „inhale/exhale“ is ironically paradox in this composition. The way it’s sung the „inhale“ is actually a long exhale, and the „exhale“ sounds like a gasp. And if you switch the both and breathe with that it actually calms you down (a long exhale calms our heartbeat). If you breathe as she is saying it increases the anxiety. I don’t know though if that was somehow intentional or artistic freedom hah
It makes me sad, she is singing about the end of the world and how humanity is corrupted bur somehow its part of our nature. We are all killing ourselves and behaving like animals and forget to embody the devine.

I fear heat waves, storms, the rising sea level (cities flooded or burning, animal species going extinct, people suffering from hunger, war, pollution and deseases) But I feel encouraged through her voice. It's spuring me on to act, to see where I could raise my voice in favor of a system change in dealing with climate protection. (Even if its just signing a petition, joining a protest or something)
This feels like a personal "I know everything is scary, it is scary to live, I am with you, you need not be afraid as I will hold your hand" sort of solidarity song. One of my favorite things about Aurora is her stance on climate change, im very passionate about animals and the earth, I find myself crying to these songs even if I don't like this one as much as "the seed" it still hits just as hard. I remember crying for two hours straight watching David Attenborough's "witness statement" it was a sorrow filled truth and I cried so much for the earth. Aurora's music gives me just as much emotion as that day did and I love that about her, no matter if I do or don't like the song it still calls up this human emotion I didn't know was buried in me.
I did saw the documentary recently and watching the walrus throw themselves off the cliff for the third time in a week made me cry like I never cried before

I think that one of the things that makes Aurora's music so enchanting is that while there is a message she is very, VERY plainly getting across...she does so with a gentle and forgiving tone. She is not accusing, she is not threatening, she is not placing the impending weight of the world on the listener's shoulders. She is guiding, instructing, preparing. To me, the exhale into the inhale feels like that last breath before your head is pulled underwater. You know that there is something unavoidable coming, she knows it too. Every great musician of today has heard of aurora she is regarded as a huge inspiration to so many yet she should be world famous as her music is transpiring, genius, transcending, mind bending. This whole album sounds like a movie. For example, Everything Matters sounds like a song that would be played in a climatic scene or a scene in which the backstory or legend is being told. Then, Exhale Inhale sounds like the song that would be played almost at the end of the movie when all the motives have been accomplished and the secrets have been unfold. That part in Exhale Inhale that sounds exactly like a stanza in in Everything Matters makes you feel like the scene of the climax is being reminisced or recalled or connected to the end.
i generally never comment but i will, for this song. because it is the first song i listen to when i am anxious or nervous, it calms me down. even though it is about death, it is very peaceful and similarly, my worries become.... less unfriendly? idk thank you AURORA for creating this masterpiece ❤️

I'd only heard of Aurora after watching the live version of Wardruna's "Helvegen", and I am so glad I had! Her vocals on that song just instantly had me captivated. I really love this song, this has to be one of my favorite songs, specifically from the sky concert, and I always loved how the “exhale inhale” are overlapped, it’s like a desperate attempt to actually exhale and inhale like it was a stressing situation which is obviously very fitting for this tone of song, especially since it’s based off pollution and how we don’t have much of a solution since we’ve come so far negatively from this, though this part always calmed me down, and when in the concert said “it’s okay to cry” I actually just cried louder since I actually was crying (the words and song reminded me of my childhood RAHHH💀) anyways I loved the concert ^ (I could keep rambling but it would be rlly annoying lol))
One of my favorites on album. Also I see at last two meaning multilayered :). Whole song is great but especially like this part with sirens and ending where you feel like surrounded by music and sounds. It feels like it would move you to different regality/world. Very strong ending.
I feel for you. It's so sad we have these "people" in power that put such a tainted image on whole nations, when so many individuals feel/think/behave differently. And war is such a horrible thing. For nature, humanity, even the global economy. When will we move past these days of lacking conformity? Why do we not understand that the place we are destroying is also the source of our continued survival. We have lost the focus to preserve the future and live so ignorantly in the present. I truly feel there is more to life after this, however, and those in these positions of greed, anger, and control will be the ones ultimately without in the end. Love wins in the end.. but why does there have to be so much sorrow we could so simply avoid 😢

This was such a contrast to the previous songs on the album. I get a sense of a omnious passive aggression from it, kind of. The hummings are still soothing, though, and I get shivers from the "Do you understand what is happening?" everytime. All songs are great, but this one is my favorite
I started playing sky not long after i got thrown out of my house by my parents just before christmas. I tried to stand up to my abusive mother and ended up homeless. Luckily my friends took me in until i could find a place to live. I would cry everyday until i started playing. The first day on sky i was blessed enough to have seen one of auroras last concerts, some random players invited me to mess around and sit with them before the concert, i was surprised at how friendly everyone was. Aurora had a very gentle voice that felt like rain to the wasteland that my life had become. She said the things i needed to hear the most and her songs were encouraging and beautiful. Now i often play sky with my little sister and it has become my second home. So i have nothing but gratitude for Aurora and the players who helped me not be alone anymore. Thankyou, from the bottom of my heart. If it wasnt for Sky, Aurora and my little sister, i dont think i would still be here today.

I've known Aurora since years ago but bc of sky i became a fan of her now thanks to sky, her voice is really soothing like an angel-like voice, it's really calms me ❤️☁️✨

To me it's more like,

I think that one of the things that makes Aurora's music so enchanting is that while there is a message she is very, VERY plainly getting across...she does so with a gentle and forgiving tone. She is not accusing, she is not threatening, she is not placing the impending weight of the world on the listener's shoulders. She is guiding, instructing, preparing.
To me, the exhale into the inhale feels like that last breath before your head is pulled underwater. You know that there is something unavoidable coming, she knows it too. She is urging you to ready yourself to take the necessary actions- in this case, the necessary actions to preserve and protect what is left of our kind and nurturing planet.
I feel as if this- and the entire performance- has a message to it: even as everything in the world continues to happen, we gotta stay strong and keep fighting for what's right; and appreciate the natural beauty that we have, defending it so that we and future generations can enjoy it.

This whole album sounds like a movie. For example, Everything Matters sounds like a song that would be played in a climatic scene or a scene in which the backstory or legend is being told. Then, Exhale Inhale sounds like the song that would be played almost at the end of the movie when all the motives have been accomplished and the secrets have been unfold. That part in Exhale Inhale that sounds exactly like a stanza in in Everything Matters makes you feel like the scene of the climax is being reminisced or recalled or connected to the end.
i generally never comment but i will, for this song. because it is the first song i listen to when i am anxious or nervous, it calms me down.
even though it is about death, it is very peaceful and similarly, my worries become.... less unfriendly? idk

i think auroras music was perfect to tell the story of sky, to me its like she is the light telling us what happened and it feels so magical hearing the light talk to us.

I'd only heard of Aurora after watching the live version of Wardruna's "Helvegen", and I am so glad I had! Her vocals on that song just instantly had me captivated. Her music has been on near constant rotation when I'm listening to music, and this song is my favourite from her new album (saying that, I love all of her new album - well, all of her albums!) ❤️

I really love this song, this has to be one of my favorite songs, specifically from the sky concert, and I always loved how the “exhale inhale” are overlapped, it’s like a desperate attempt to actually exhale and inhale like it was a stressing situation which is obviously very fitting for this tone of song, especially since it’s based off pollution and how we don’t have much of a solution since we’ve come so far negatively from this, though this part always calmed me down, and when in the concert said “it’s okay to cry” I actually just cried louder since I actually was crying (the words and song reminded me of my childhood RAHHH💀) anyways I loved the concert ^ (I could keep rambling but it would be rlly annoying lol))

I was at your Sky concert last night. What a beautiful experience.
One of my favorites on album. Also I see at last two meaning multilayered :). Whole song is great but especially like this part with sirens and ending where you feel like surrounded by music and sounds. It feels like it would move you to different regality/world. Very strong ending.

I feel for you. It's so sad we have these "people" in power that put such a tainted image on whole nations, when so many individuals feel/think/behave differently.
And war is such a horrible thing. For nature, humanity, even the global economy. When will we move past these days of lacking conformity?
Why do we not understand that the place we are destroying is also the source of our continued survival. We have lost the focus to preserve the future and live so ignorantly in the present.
I truly feel there is more to life after this, however, and those in these positions of greed, anger, and control will be the ones ultimately without in the end.
Love wins in the end.. but why does there have to be so much sorrow we could so simply avoid 😢

So beautiful and ethereal. I would love to hear an extended version. It just ends so soon when you could keep hearing that floating sound and angelic voice for at least another 30 seconds or more.
I didn't even knew I needed to hear that song... This finally let me fell free from human being for all 3 minutes. This even just touched my whole soul...love it 💕
This was such a contrast to the previous songs on the album.
I get a sense of a omnious passive aggression from it, kind of. The hummings are still soothing, though, and I get shivers from the "Do you understand what is happening?" everytime.
All songs are great, but this one is my favorite

Just did the Aurora Concert for the first time in Sky, it was amazing.
This is so incredible and poetic...
I started playing sky not long after i got thrown out of my house by my parents just before christmas.
I tried to stand up to my abusive mother and ended up homeless.
Luckily my friends took me in until i could find a place to live.
I would cry everyday until i started playing.
The first day on sky i was blessed enough to have seen one of auroras last concerts, some random players invited me to mess around and sit with them before the concert, i was surprised at how friendly everyone was.
Aurora had a very gentle voice that felt like rain to the wasteland that my life had become. She said the things i needed to hear the most and her songs were encouraging and beautiful.
Now i often play sky with my little sister and it has become my second home.
So i have nothing but gratitude for Aurora and the players who helped me not be alone anymore. Thankyou, from the bottom of my heart.
If it wasnt for Sky, Aurora and my little sister, i dont think i would still be here today.
This calms my soul and fills my heart with something I almost remember before I was born...
