This is worship song and every time i listened to this i cried because every lyrics of this song reminds me how Jesus Loves me 😭
Amen! Brother. God never leaves nor forsakes. This day when i was showering in the morning i got doubts about my past, but i started to think about all the verses of God promises and God Word commandments and then as i was going to dress up for church gathering today i heard this song playing in other room at the end of the movie, i teared up little, cause it spoke to me directly in that moment, when i was so down. God never leaves us nor forsakes us. Hebrews 13: "5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

'You Got Me' is probably my favorite song of Gavin's... I like all his songs in different ways for different reasons... but this song touches my heart in a unique way... the music, Gavin's voice, the lyrics... just the way it all comes together... it's special. :-)

I dont know why but this song always makes me bawl out my eyes. Maybe because I think about Winter and how she was a huge part of my childhood and that she died before I had a chance to meet her. But I always had that feeling about that song, already before Winters passing.

I didn't know who you were until this morning. I have heard your "I don't want to be" and never really listened many times. I listened to it on the radio last night and realized how nice a song, how thoughtful the meaning and how finely executed the your vocals were. Not knowing who sang it I searched google. listen to it,follow through,this one and some others. I usually like impressive guitar leads and such but I can see that your voice is your instrument and you use it well. I'm going to click on "best I ever had" now and see if that is up my alley.
+Grady Bledsoe In my opinion, Make a Move, the album that Best I Ever Had comes from, is not his best. If you like this song, you should check out his first album, Chariot. Lots of acoustic, well-written songs with his great voice.

In the meantime, yes....music is wonderfully therapeutic and can reach you in ways nothing else can. Gavin DeGraw's music has been that for me numerous times as well. Surround yourself with the music and stay strong...it does get easier.

This "You Got Me" music video is probably one of my favorite music videos featuring Gavin DeGraw - featuring just Gavin singing, recording, playing with instrument, & focusing & connecting to his heartfelt, encouraging, supportive words & images from "Dolphin Tale 2" movie. I did watch "Dolphin Tale 2" movie. It was a good film. And I've seen Winter the dolphin in Clearwater, Florida, in person as well. Anyways, this is a great song to listen to when one is feeling down, underappreciated, weak, feeling unloved, undervalued, or feeling sad or down, etc. I find many of Gavin's songs to be very warm, heartfelt, comforting, understanding, strong, supportive, been there & done that - empathetic, etc. Gavin's songs are like listening to words from a longtime, caring friend - many of his songs are good for one's heart & soul. And some of his songs including this one can bring tears to one's eyes in a good, positive way. This "You Got Me" song is excellent. And Gavin DeGraw STILL remains one of my favorite male music artists of all time, after all this time. I'm glad I was able to see Gavin perform in two concerts in person in this lifetime so far. I love how Gavin continues to do what he loves - making, producing, & sharing music - & that he hasn't given up & has stayed strong. Gavin's songs are beautiful & are good sources of strength & light. Keep up the amazing work, Gavin! Gavin is a very talented musician, and a nice guy to boot! I saw (and met him) way back in 2005 in Colorado Springs when I was living there, and he played a very small venue there. Fast forward 12 years, and I'll be seeing him live again in July in Melbourne, VIC, Australia (I live in Sydney). Can't wait!
