This an extremely useful video. Specially for those who do not have access to SPSS. I find statistical analysis of research data quite complicated and tedious, but your demonstration with slow and comprehensive explanation makes it sound very easy. Thank you so much. Please do keep making such videos.

Ty for this video. I have a question if you don't mind: When is the split-half useful compared to the alternatives? I am Reading an article in which they propose split-half test, both Spearman-Brown or Guttman, as alternatives to conventional test-retest when testing the stability of a set of items in a questionnaire.

Thank you Dr.Todd Grande for the video.I have one question due to the Split half test. What are the values of the Spearman-Brown coefficient when we can claim that the scale is reliable? In my case the coefficient is 0.555 -is this good or not? Thank you in advance!

Thank you for this lecture, it was very helpful! One question: how can I calculate reliability of an attentional test, where participants fulfilled different numbers of tasks/items? Do I just put zero to the items that were not completed or I leave it blank and then calculate split-half odd/even? Wish you well !!

Thanks for this video! I would like to know when to use which Coefficient. And if the Spearman-Brown Coefficient is interpreted the same way as cronbachs alpha? Thanks a lot

    Simple, clear and illutration.
Am curious, if am able to use thisSpearman-Brown Coefficient on Skill which has independant & moderating variables

Great video! Can I use this for dichotomous and polytomous data? Any clue of what to do when the test halves are not equal? SPSS is being very wacky for me!

Does this indicate inter-reliability for individual cases? I'm trying to detect multivariate outliers with an N=300.
