As a pet bird owner in love the little guy Paradise Parakeet was included. That was the cherry on the top. It will be a fun memory as the preorder went up while in was on vacation in a Aruba. While having breakfast on the beach surrounded by tropical birds I ordered Beachcomber :)
To put it into perspective, the reason why Evo-Fusion is such a nothing gimmick is because it is. It's literally smoke and mirrors to convince retailers to want to buy the new Transformers line to sell instead of just continuing to sell the old ones. And if not for that reason, than of course it's to shut up the Hasbro Execs who try to meddle with toylines to "guarantee" sales.
yeah, it's really a marketing ploy... even the name of the series keeps changing... just to make retailers think it's a new series... but long-time collectors know these are all generations figures

I can confirm that this Beachcomber figure has got some heft for its size and solidity to it. The riveted rubber tires add to the overall quality of the figure. If this is how they’re planning to do things regarding wheels particularly because I hate the wheels on most cars, then they’re heading in the right direction. This does feel very much like a Transformer from the 80s, minus the diecast feel. My brother’s just bought this figure and yeah, it’s a great one. Picking it up reminds me of holding G1 Mirage. Even the tires have a rubbery kind of smell.
Epic review Chefatron!! I'm still undecided on which version of Beachcomber is the "better" figure, since the PotP version is still a great figure the Autobot dune buggy. lol Keep on being amazing.

I said this over on Prime vs Prime's review: "Huh. The PotP Beachcomber was great...but this mofo is FANTABULOUS. And an entirely new mold?? Impressive...most impressive. (Assuming they venture deeper into season 3 and beyond stuff, SS86 Brawn easily makes way for a retool into Outback, Gears - wendafuqeva Hasbro decides to do him - makes way for a retool into Swerve, Windcharger (who I don't think got the new Deluxe treatment yet) makes way for a Tailgate retool, we have Pipes and Goldbug, we're allegedly supposed to be getting the remaining Throttlebots, who's left beyond that??) I think the actual evofusion is the fact that its 'bumper-cage-car-thing' also acts as a gun in robot mode, similar like crankcase. But still pretty silly lol they couldve make it at least transform a bit. But nope. Just plug the damn gun on it.

If I ever get this guy (or see him at my Walmart... distribution's fucked, so I haven't been seeing *everything* that's been coming-out lately + alot of stuff that I do see, ends-up shelfwarming HARD), I'm just gonna give the rifle to someone else.

Sadly, the Legends class Beachcomber is out of scale for his own toy line (just like the new one), he dwarfs Brawn, Windcharger, etc.

I'll have to get this one,any pre movie (season 1-2 G1 characters)that are done this well I can't resist getting,they even included the bird that's a reference to the golden lagoon episode.Hopefully he's well stocked and widely available everywhere. Anytime there's a cosmos type understocked/scalper price issue then I have to skip it,theres no way I can pay $75-$80 for a figure that's barely worth $25 to begin with.
