I've been going down a troubadour rabbit hole recently. I forgot how wildly sexy and yet subtly mystical this poetry and culture really was. God I love this.
I often come back to this. Makes me want to have a drink, and a laugh. Makes me want to live! As a musician myself, I would love to make music together and drink away the clouds!
Absolutely fantastic and mesmerizing. The fact that they are in a natural setting with modest clothing and being barefoot really helps to paint the picture of an idea of 12 -13th century life. Even if it's subtle, it really helps! I can only dream of what it was like. The handmade instruments, hand dyed clothing, medieval haircuts. Wish I could have seen in it! Glad they are using wooden instruments to make this scene more realistic to its origin! Bravo!
Found out about this music while reading “To Kill a Troubador” by Martin Walker and the musical group and their songs are mentioned..so delighted to have found them their performance is sublime!
Great Catar and Bogomils music! Still used the instruments in traditional Bulgarian music : Gadulka, Caval, Tupan and Tambura eventually Gaida. Thank you
As a huge fan of authentic medieval music & vocalizing, what I, and what we all should do is, while this is running, minimize or remove from view, if preferred---leaving the audio ON, then open another window, either You Tube or Google gallery of images, bringing up photos of castles, either video or still-frames, magnify, etc. It's extremely evocative of the Middle Ages!
The original title is "Tant m'abelis joys et amors e chans" (I like so much the joy, love and song). It's a catalan poem written by Berenguer de Palou o Palazol.
This can be use for some game actually! And all of you are really soo cool!!! I need a performance for my Music Class sadly none of us know how to play any of those intruments or know how to sing those thingsss. :O
Well i had a past regretion its when you get hypnotized to remember ur pas life Welp i was walking down the street and listen to the music while head banging so thats how i died know i know why i have great music taste HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
p.m. Konijn It's the nouveau troubadour/ medieval hippie look they're going for. Note; this only works in warm weather. Fortunately, with the cold of winter, reality and sanity set in.

Was the 3-3-2 rythmic structure an actual pattern in the 12th and 13th centuries' Occitany?
This is a catalan song, not occitan. Berenguer de Palou was catalan.

What language is this? Thank you 🙏
