    For this price I think it's a very nice keyboard, full of usable features, I could use.

    I hope Studiologic announces the 73 key version of Numa compact 2x soon.
    I am looking for a “real compact”.

      No, from Europe, Belgium. Yeah, I like it a lot! Great feeling on the keys, very light and portable, powered by USB, nice sounds and a lot of possibilities! Very nice that almost every button can be assigned with MIDI.

    Studiologic’s site says this has only 1gb of sample memory. This video says 2 gb. Which is it?

      Take a look at the Specs page on their site. It states: "Factory & User sounds updatable thru Hi-Speed USB device *1". The associated footnote at the bottom on the page states: "*1 With a dedicated application available within Fall 2018". Sounds to me that Chris has this correct and that you will be able to upload your own samples and quite possibly there may be some sort of voice editor coming soon....

    I'm a producer & pianist for over 30 years and here's my review: I've never been more disappointed in a product.
    This is the worst piece of equipment I've ever bought and I bought an awful lot (and lots of rubbish) over the years.
    The sounds are average at best compared to units by Roland or Korg of the same price bracket. The price is too high, the keys are too short. But worst of all the USB connectivity is beyond unstable. Its implementation is amateurish, requiring several drivers instead of one. The drivers aren't signed either and that alone is a good indicator what you're dealing with: Amateur programming. Studiologic's support appears initially helpful, but when confronted with an actual issues simply ignored me. The only thing this has going for it is its weight. Hardly worth the ticket.

    • @vladimird5280

      What Roland and Korgs units are in this price range and with as many features ?

    • @Rid-iculo-us
      @Rid-iculo-us Год назад

      @@vladimird5280 depends how you define "feature". If weight is a feature there is nothing that I know of that is as light. If you're after lots and lots of cheap sounding, one-button "editing" of "effects" the numa is probabaly also unbeatable.
      But to me the actual sound is much more important than the ability to modulate it. And to me it feels as if Studiologic became well aware of that and that's why the added a "mastering section". It feels like an afterthought in order to fix the uneven, general response of the unit to me. A 'turd-polisher' so to speak. As for comparable units... The Korg D1 costs about the same and has well under 100 sounds. But each and every one one of those eats *any* of the numa for breakfast. They are just fuller, richer, are of equal _loudness_ accross all keys (a massive issue with numa) and all of them translate better in any mix. And it comes with full size weighted keys...

    • @vladimird5280
      @vladimird5280 Год назад +1

      @@Rid-iculo-us There are some good sounding voices in there and effects are decent considering it has them at all at this price point. And about the mix, in the mix hardly would you know the difference. Also Korg is heavy as shit. I agree there is much that can be improved with the Numa but I like the idea of it and the layout much more than of any other similar thing at it's price point.

    • @Rid-iculo-us
      @Rid-iculo-us Год назад

      @@vladimird5280 Nah, the effects are crap. The reverb sounds "metal" and digital, the overdrive has next to no control and isn't levelled right, the delay can't be properly synced. The effects for the organ sections are ok, but they are on/off and then you change the setting it audibly clicks and cracks. I could go on... We can agree that the idea is cute and the concept is OK, but the implementation of it... is just so _amateur_
      Like who in their right mind puts the volume control on the right side of the unit? For a unit that wants to be attractive to a live performance market?
      The numa is full of things like that. It's lots of bells and whistles that shine, but nothing much under the hood. But each to their own

    For the price it seemed great, but I sent mine back, even at "open box item" price which could not be beat. It isn't about the money, it's about the keyboard.
    Yes the keys feel like a Caddy, but NO PORTAMENTO for the synthesizer for the guy in this thread who asked. Piano/EP sounds are pretty good. Horrible Leslie simulation and not editable in any respect, not for ramp up/down, slow and fast speeds, zilch. Fast sound is like a fast trill. Chorus/Vibrato for organ too heavy on setting 1. Only thing adjustable on organ is key click. Big deal. Combo organ sounds that sound like vox/farfisa are decent but only can change filter cutoff and nothing drawbar-wise/changing tones/no voxxy-type "96 tears" sounds to be had on this keyboard. With the combo organ sounds - called electric organ 1 or 2 or something - you cannot use the same vibrato or chorus panel switches like you can use them for the dedicated Hammond organ sound. Bogus!
    How the heck to program aftertouch? Overdrive kinda usable, but there is much better out there. Effects such as phaser, vibrato etc. only change depth of the effect with the knob. NO PROGRAMMABLE SPEED SETTINGS FOR EFFECTS either and it is slow! I would have kept it if it had portamento and more adjustable effects. Who cares about the lousy Leslie simulator - I have that covered with my Neo Ventilator anyway.
    A lot of hype for a keyboard that just does not do enough. I would have paid a couple of hundred bucks more and kept it if it had what this keyboard is so horribly lacking. If Studiologic updates this keyboard with what it needs/what it's supposed to have, I'd buy it again. And yeah, I agree with narupol27, 73 keys or even 76 would do, don't really need 88.

      Thanks for the insightful info. I could deal with the cringeworthy leslie sim, but no portamento? Deal breaker.

      My guy you said everything completely OUT OF CONTEXT.... Find me a keyboard with this much features for this amount of MONEY. You simply can't.
      Plus there is a software update and possibility to use your own samples and MIDI, but I assume that doesn't mean much to you...
