I really like these videos. Helping with the headcannnon is a big help, I like comparing your ideas to the ones I came up with as a kid, so I truly appreciate your perspective
I think hound, sunstreaker and bluestreak have drove away making their escape and optimus prime saw them and landed his shuttle to have them climb on board but they never appeared after the movie until headmasters so I think they are conformed alive.
The autobots were losing the war and low on energon so they weren’t able to put up much of a fight with their powers and skills for long and outnumbered and outgunned especially with Megatron himself leading the attack they were getting slaughtered easily and Trailbreaker was mentioned in the story to have died offscreen during the battle he was killed by the Insecticons and seekers
Iirc Mirage in ROTB doesnt use Hounds hologram ability, Hound, infact, is the one who stole this ability: in Mirage's original Bio he could make more illusoons, but G1 cartoon simplified it to invisibility, and gave holograms to Hound who originally was able to make 3D proections/maps of territory.
Snarl is a complicated one. He appears in a few spots as we all know, but he wasn't actually scripted into the movie. His name never appears in the script, unlike the other Dinos. He was accidentally drawn in in a few areas in the script where there was a referral to "the Dinobots".
