I'm from Kenya. We first saw the twins at the global championships held here last year (2021). We'll always treat them as ours. Congratulations Tina.

@Adriano17 ..that's not true.. many of us have Kenyan ancestry too.. I seen some DNA results on RUclips.. and mine included.. high percentage of Kenya.. mine was 16%
@Adriano17 no..see yrs ago I was watching a history program on RUclips with some black historians told us, some interesting facts of what happened during slavery and now it made sense. From Cape Verde to Cape Good Hope was colonized . Cape Good Hope is in Kenya. I look at my mother's side ,they look like the Maasi people which turn up in my DNA , my cousin used another company and it was same thing, even told her where my grandparents went to live in Jamaica. .. We were lied to .. I would tell u the professor name and lecture but RUclips took down many of his lectures. But if you want go look up Prof Martin from Trinidad.. he has some of the lectures from the other professor

Not really. Most champs stars never made it pro. They used track as a platform to come to North American colleges here for a higher education then marry for green card because not many will get big sponsors as the few elite athletes back home. Some of Jamaica's elite athletes were never any champs stars.
@@misterlexx2721 I was just about to say something similar. They may be bought by an overseas country for college and stuff. Some take that offer and some don't, but if we won't do for them as a country then they have to accept and do for themselves. This is the only route out of poverty for many young athletes.
@@YonUndone3064 My wife said the same thing this morning. Many track athletes are from disadvantaged backgrounds and it is a good vehicle out of poverty for sure even if track is just a means to an end.
These twins give me goosebumps everytime. They are amazing and their mom is a pillar. She gives them all of her support no matter what. Great job!

Just imagine if tina got her signature start she is very powerful in her running she does not stop nor look behind her her win is no surprise to me i knew she would deliver big time good job to all the ladies
I thought the same. If Tina had her start it would have been a different race. Brianna will gain the experience and strength over time though. The future looks bright for these young ladies.

Lyston is really good but tina is also really good and she was determined and dug deep she knew what's at stake, her title, bragging rights and the the champion rise again. So proud of her.

No doubt, Trinidad watching and impressed.
The different that separated them was their mindset, Brianna defeated Tina in their semis by a large margen so she didn't expected to see Tina right next to her in the finals.
When Brianna saw Tina coming, she tensed up in order to try to pull away which caused her to lose completely her form over the final meters, that allowed Tina to pass her and win.
Unlike Brianna, Tina has already been in big competitions before so she knowa how to handle the pressure on big races, she's the 100m world u20 champion for a reason.
Lyston was at world under 20 and the finals of the 200m

Am a clayton twins fan . You see this is how Jamaicans are they like to hype up bias on one sided, briana has great talent but I think she listening to the hype too much ,, tina did it on the big stage, put some respect on her name. How come liston no fan of her hand now like she did the other day, I hope she learn to be humble because she has great talent.

These girlshave been track rivals from primary/ prep school days.They must now push each other to higher heights when they graduate to the international/ professional level. The GOJ should play an active role in the development and welfare of these girls and all other junior who exhibit exceptional talent. After all the GOJ bask in the glory when our athletes are winners and bring positive publicity to Jamaica. Many may not know but this was done for Usain Bolt and as we all know, the rest is history.
Very good point but more work needs to be done with high school athletes moving into the professional age.

Well, Tina silenced those who say Brianna is better. It appeared as though Brianna had the better started, and Tina still won. But both girls did great.

Lyston May very well win or even get better than Tina. However, the way Tina ran the race with determination, she runs with confidence, she seem to have the mental space to deal with pressure. This is something that most athletes lack and will prove beneficial for her going forward.

I don't know which race the commentator was watching but it was very clear at the line that Tina took it.
I am really impressed with Kerrica Hill's record equaling 100m win. I don't know the wind reading but I do know it was within the legal limit. Now first to third class 2 girls ran faster than first to third in class 1 girls. In any condition this is outstanding and is the best performance so far of B & G champs 2022.
Excellent race, pure experience from champ, never lost her form under the pressure.

It is a very interesting race, but I liked the way Tina Clayton holds her composure at the end to win the race. From the very first time I saw the twin sisters ran,I know that they are very, very special.The girl from Hydel really put Tina Clayton under tremendous pressure,it was a ding dong battle to the end. But the stronger and more better athletes, must come up triumph winner 🏆.It was a very, very excited race, the girl from Hydel got a better start over Tina Clayton. She ran her down and beat her, on the wire. That is good stamina by Tina Clayton,she is a future star ⭐✨⭐⭐⭐ for Jamaica and the world to see.Anyway nevertheless it is a win for her,it does not matter what anyone says.
