My version of self harm was running. There were times when I'd take off on a run thinking: "I'm not going to stop unless my body quits on me". When I'd stumbled back home, sometimes 9hrs later, barley able to stand, removing my shoes exposing what was left of my feet I'd just lay there sobbing...I wish I had released that no matter how far or fast I ran I was never going to outrun my pain, depression, and self hate. If you're reading this and listening to this song just like I was thinking "I can't carry this any more", know that I did. I am still here, and you're still here reading this, you're that strong. You got this!
