The entire arc with Tai Yong, from starting the climb to ending up here, was so perfectly paced and atmospheric. The standout portion of the game for me.
It's something about the engine as well. It's not that technically advanced but it just creates a certain style of graphics that's very pleasing to the eye. I missed this effect in Mankind Divided. Sure it looks better but the feel was different. It's like that art and technology just merged together perfectly... kind of like Adam Jensen and his augs
Whilst prequel games can ruin a franchise, DXHR and DXMD, imo, only added SO much to the DX-verse and franchise. They are two of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played both visually and audibly. Think it’s time for a replay.
Easily my favorite setting/theme in Human Revolution. I don't think I've played anything since that really captures the vibe this level gave, Mankind Divided included. Maybe just nostalgia talking... The quality is phenomenal as usual, thanks for "remastering" this one
@@danielm.6476 mirror´s edge catalyst is the only game that can hold the water with deus ex. Mass effect is good too but most of the time the settings are empty and loveless
@@georgkeller3225 I only played the first one so far, it was a while back, but when I think back to it I remember utter beauty and super dense atmosphere. It was one of the games that influenced me the most. I think of it as much as art as it is a game, to be honest.
The views of Upper Hengsha were just incredible. I can see why the chap here just wants to stand and bask in the view - it's a pity the Upper Hengsha segment never made it into the final version of the game as originally planned.
A thing that's become more apparent in recent years, as tech advances: this game still looks great, entirely through its art direction being clean and stylish, and how well the art team as a whole brought it to life in the game world.
I always found this soundtrack to be ominous: as if the shiny veneer of this vaulted and much talked about company is falling off as we delve deeper into its activities. Thank you for another excellent upload!
I remember Mankind Divided facing a lot of issues because of its many pre-order DLCs, so I'm not sure that it met the sales numbers which were expected of it. But yeah, hopefully some suit can come to his senses and realize that a Deus Ex game made with passion and the right people can be a money printer 😄
I tried playing HR when it first came out and didn't like it at all. It seemed clumsy how stealth worked and I always liked the stealth approach. A couple years after I played the original Deus Ex and it became one of my favorite games of all time. So I decided to give HR an another shot, I messed up the hostage situation in first mission which pissed me off but I continued. Detroit hooked me in but when I reached this part of the game, I realized how beautiful this game really was and what I was missing. Been listening to its ambience ever since, and replaying the game every now and then. Remarkable. Shame we can't get more of this. Only Dishonored and Vampires the Masquerade: Bloodlines had atmosphere as good as this to me, not similar but similarly powerful.
Really appreciate you giving this a fresh lick of paint. Was happy with your other videos but this is stunning. The graphic upgrades add so much. Particularly the cityscape and Belltower armour
This such a great game made at the wrong time. Definitely a worthy remaster.. everything was done right.story.setting.locations.pace.atmosphere.and the icing on cake.what we are now listening too.goodatuff!!
My god thank you!!! For 4 yers I use this OST as my meditation music for my spiritual practice. I found it annoying that the old clip from 2017 has a lot of noise and bad quality. Finally you remake this one!
I‘m loving the remakes you are giving us … they sound great and the clarity is excellent. I love all the extra scenes you have chosen. Thanks for your efforts to make this such an entertaining and wonderful site.
Tai Yong was fantastic, mostly because of the blend between accessible civilian territory and restricted areas which most areas don't have. You feel like you're blending in while committing some insane corporate espionage.
Maybe stop being such a pathetic whiner with an overinflated sense of entitlement and start saving for an electronic multimedia device that's actually capable of something beyond collecting dust in the TV shelf or tethering yourself and your wallet to the whims of some autocratic platform operator in exchange for a castrating customer experience?
this is my favourite track save for a little flaw - intermittently there is a really high frequency that makes it very difficult for me to continue listening. nothing wrong with the composition per se, which again is one of my favourites. if somehow someone could upload this and remove that without butchering the mix, that would be great because otherwise I find the track very calming. dubious someone would do so due to just one person's complaint tho lol
Perhaps AI will be able to do this soon, but all versions have this frequency issue which I believe was due to an error, or damage to the masters I can't remember. Michael McCann mentioned it once a while ago. I'm still glad they used it, it is an incredible piece of music and you don't notice it as much while playing the game with all the ambience and sound effects playing over top of the music.
So guys, Jensen got new implants before Mankind Divided? David was confused because he noticed Jensen new implants are compatible with TYM. Does anyone know about this?

This was my favorite location in DXHR. That view, that soundtrack, the whole atmosphere was just so damn perfect.
That rare, odd moment when art direction overrides the graphic showcase.

Used to fall asleep to the old video every night. This track has gotten me through some tough times.

Agreed. The whole Hengsha island on top of the existing city was breathtaking in the reveal
Try Mirror‘s Edge

No it's not nostalgia. It is literally just superior.

It's such a masterpiece. I wish I could find other games that would give me a similar feeling. So glad my roommate introduced me to the game.

My favourite theme in both HR and MD. Just stunning.

we need a new deus ex game badly

Sometimes, things should stay "as it is", without "new games" in favorite series. :(
@@Valky-Ra I think with the new technology they can make something great, also Micheal Mcann on the OST again,..
Adam jensen is one of the best character ever they need to
it would be a woke mess.

Did a playthrough of this amazing game years ago. You can avoid virtually all enemies
Foxiest of hounds
I always wanted to go down to that city.
It's cool how you put these clips of the game in with the soundtrack.
Love this channel 🎮❤️
Michael McCann is a genius, god of music
is this guy ever going to get back to work? sheesh.

Such a fantastic music! Thank you! Why are no games exist like this today...:/ ?
I miss Deus Ex, Mass Effect...Metro, Starcraft...Quantum Break ehh..

According to the developer commentary, it was almost finished.

Have you thougth about doing Dishonored 2 videos? It has some really great ambient music
I have thought about it because it's been requested many times but I don't own them currently anyways.
And here i am without being able to play this gem in my ps4
