By the Way the Style he is going for in this Video where he discusses stuff with an evil self or other self is ment to mirror Johann Wolfgang von Goethes Faust.
Can you react to "Ein Boot ist voll" by "Faber". Its a really powerful and emotional song. Its about how people dont care about refugees drowning in the mediterranean sea every day.
the "in china hat gerade jemand reis bestellt" is a saying in germany. its to point at the "pointlessness" of an action or an statement. also "Kaliber" seems to be one of his aliasses. he kinda uses charakters troughout his songs
So one point that makes the song clearer for me is that Alligatoah also made a shorter version of this song, changing the lyrics but keeping the line "Musik ist keine Lösung", where he uses the rest of the text as an interpretation of Goethes "Faust", and in that version, the song is sang from the perspective of the devil. I think this also somewhat applies to the original. The "In China, someone just ordered rice" is a take on a common german phrase "And in China, a sack of rice tilts over" which means something like "This is extremely common, unimportant and not interesting". So in this contect, I would interpret the line as "You making a song about how cruel the world is is not even as important as a sack of rice tilting over, it's even more trivial and doesn't add anything to the world." I understand that the lyrics are long and complex, but I think to really get the song, you should read the lyrics to the end. I personally get the impression that the song of the voice, on one hand, is not completely wrong: Just making a song but being unwilling to help in any other situation can be seen as somewhat hypocratic. But also, seeing it in the contect of what I wrote before about the devil's perspective and about the end of the video and lyrics, where Kaliba/Alligatoah is literally beating himself up, I think the main point of the song is about the inner critic, the devil on the shoulder, beating you up no matter what. Because, yeah, bad things happen. They have always happened and will always happen. But also, what kind of healthy person expects themmself to solve world hunger, heroin trade, war, etc. etc. all by oneself? The "singer" tells Kaliba that he needs those things, but who says that Kaliba couldn't just sing about something else if they were gone? You don't blame doctors for "needing" sick people for their job, so that logic's kind of hollow. Seeing how the "singer" in the song wins in the end is also a very interesting. You see that Kaliba considers suicide, attempting to jump off the roof, when the "singer" holds him back screaming "I'M NOT DONE YET!" After having listened to everything else, with the phrase "Humans aren't evil, humans are just stupid", Kaliba then throws away his peace sign button. That one's pretty interesting for me, because I'm not sure myself how to interpret it but I feel like it somewhat twists the meaning of what happened before. It shows that the "singer" doesn't want Kaliba to die, though he wants him to lose his faith in humanity as a whole, his faith in peace. Maybe it's somewhat sadistic, maybe somewhat masochistic, or just exhausted of the feeling of responsibility? I think all of the angles are interesting, but I also think that there is so much more to it then just the superficial "Humans are stupid/hateful and that will never end." I think it's about facing your own fears and sometimes not knowing what to believe, about regret and about the struggle to find your place as a human being that you can respect yourself. And how, sometimes, you fail with that (as in the end of the video). Of course, that's just my point of view and you can look at it from a completely different one. This got long 0: Have a nice day, everyone :)
I like your ideas. I think it can also be interpreted as criticism by oneself and others and how the protagonist and maybe even how he reacts to that criticism. I mean idk, nobody does, and i like alligatoah's songs because they criticise a specific topic but its up to oneselfes to interpreted the exact meanings and the more you think abt the lyrics and/or music u seem to discover more and more the longer you think abt it. Ah well i dont think anyone will read it but if surprisingly someone does: thx for listening to my thoughts and i hope you have a wonderful day :)

Thank you for reviewing this song! In my opinion one of his best songs. Even if german is your mothertongue is this song hard to understand because of it multiple different layers of interpretation. Also Alligatoah is such a master in lyrics and uses the full spectrum of the german language, especially when it comes to ambiguity of words and typical sayings. The very interesting thing about him is, that he is usually not blaming a person for bad behaviour, instead he is showing, that mostly anybody is part of a problem. I hear his songs so often because i can find myself in a lot of them (apart from his songs about racism). I often use it for my self-reflection, so I can say that I became a better human through listening to and thinking about his songs. Instead "aber die Menschen sind nicht böse, die Menschen sind nur dumm" (the humans are not evil, they're just dumb) is one of the most accurate lines, if you think about it. He explained this line in some interviews that he thinks this is true, because to be evil you need the intention of beeing evil and nobody has this intention. Even the most cruel persons in history did what they did, because they thought it was right, not because they wanted to be evil. In my case this was an eye-opener for how I'm thinking about the world. I would recommend you his song "Wie Zuhause" (my favourite song), but with the warning that its 6 minutes long and has no hook, why it's even harder to understand I think.
What's also very ironic is that he wrote a protestsong about how protestsongs just don't help critizising the politics, while he is doing exactly that by for example mentioning John Lennon's protestsong - which means there are things which are still the same (40+ years afterwards). This is not just underlining his theories but also very true. But again - doing nothing never helped changing anything. So I believe that if one can change the way (at least) some people think - this DOES make a (big) difference. The reason that Alligatoah is so loved by us Germans is, because his music and his rhymes are just so creative. He is someone who can make great music out of nearly anything. And I'm saying that even though I really don't like rap or something like that, but his lyrics are just unbelievably awesome and always reach me - whatever the songs are about. I like your reactions. Keep on rockin'!
A hint, if you're willing to do (a lot) longer videos hit pause a lot and repeat lines, might help to understand although I think its quite hard to understand slang anyways
In China hat gerade jemand Reis bestellt is a variation on a common german allegory for 'nobody cares'. I personally know it more commonly as 'In China ist ein Sack Reis umgefallen' (a bag of rice has fallen over in china)
I think the line about the rice bag is about the butterfly effect The wingflap of a butterfly in Brazil could theoretically knock over a bag of rice in China. Except knocking over a bag of rice in China isn't going to help anybody and for some reason the bag is not being knocked over but ordered. My hot guess is for rhyme or metric reasons. Not sure whether or not it's chastising anybody, my read is the singer is salty. He might be implying "look guys, this didn't worrk out, we need a new set of ideas" but it's not really sung at any point, so my guess it's semi salty semi ironic. It's a bittersweet enjoyment song which is true to itself in that it doesn't offer a solution either, so it's kinda just as unnecessary.
I like all kinds of music really. I prefer harder music than this typically. But I like "alternative rock" or "indie rock" whatever you want to call it, as well.
I recently found your cannel and really enjoy your interpretations of the songs. :) Did you already listen to Knorkator? You might also like 'Es wird schlimmer' by Die Apokalyptischen Reiter.
since you had 2 "Die Ärzte" songs already, why not add a 3rd?^^. the song JUNGE , could be said its about disappointed parents, because the son is wasting his live.
If I could recommend a song to you, it would be "Massenkompatibel" by Rainald Grebe. Although he is not famous, he has some incredible songs wich can really hit you emotionally, which I really adore. The song itself also isn't that fast so I think understanding it wouldn't be as hard as for example in this video.
A smal suggestion for improving your reaction videos. Maybe a litten bit more talking about the lyrics or what you see and think about it and maby add them to the video and / or even put the translated lyrics in the subtitles for your english speaking viewers. Or at least in the video description 😉
Do you mean talking about the lyrics during the song, and not waiting until after the song? I've done some videos that way and got mixed reactions. As for adding the translated lyrics to the video itself, I did it once and it several hours to get it just right. Adding the translated lytics to the description is a good idea though
I love how you understand a lot of it, but he isnt talking from the eyes of the powerful to the not powerful, he is talking from the eyes of a not powerful who doesn't give a shit, about anything, to a not powerful, who tries to go and change the world. From the beginning he is mocking him and is following him everywhere, because he is himself. "Kaliba" was once the Artistsname of Alligatoah (he once acted like Alligatoah was a band and "Kaliba" was the Singer and Songtexter and "DJDeagle" was the DJ, both are terrorists who once in a while find their ways back into the newer Songs of Alligatoah) so he's basically talking to himself. In the end, the Person who tries to change the world with his Songs gives in and rips his peace sign of his vest, instead of killing himself. In this Scene the not powerful who doesnt give a shit (im going to call him 1 and the other one 2 from now on) is talking to 2 and is telling him, how if god only needs seven days to create the World he can easily do it again (-"Wenn Gott nur sieben Tage braucht kann ers ja öfters machen"-) and how 2 should just give up and should stop making music (-"Stampf Gitarre und Schreibfüller ein-")-(Crush guitar and fountain pen). Then 1 goes on telling 2 how, if the problems 2 mentions in his Songs would be solved, he would lose his job(This is a little bit before everything i just said "Du singst dich in die Arbeitslosigkeit" - You sing yourself into unemployment(...)") and tells him that hell get unstoppable when he just doesnt care anymore. ("Du wirst unbesiegbar durch Gleichgültigkeit) i could go on and on but im getting to the point now, its all about the fact, that people (and himself) are always crying about how bad everything in this world is, instead of doing anything. ("Sie wollen Änderung, doch sagen, ihre Hände wären gebunden, da sie dunkle Mächte lenken (blah) sie quängeln wieder rum") - (They want change, but say their hands are tied because dark forces control them (blah) they whine around again) and then it comes, then he tells him, thats people arent bad but just dumb. ("Aber die Menschen sind nicht böse, die Menschen sind nur dumm") and then there it ends. This is a lyrical masterpiece and i hope i was able to help you a bit, im not a native speaker
"wenn du alles besser weist wieso sitzt du nicht im Bundestag" well thats simple cause as a politician you cant change a shit this reaction vidos solve more problems then any Bundestag Member
the song is metaphoric for "War is no solution" when the protesters go out and make a political song about it but in the end everyone is listening to the song but not to the message
This Song isnt a political statement, he say just: you cant change the system as artist and you shouldnt because nobody would longer pay you. Live your Life and get Happy and not sad because you didnt change anyone. It is the inner fight of the artist.
Kalibah is alligatoah old rap character. When starting his career he made very political songs and this is the older alligatoah mocking his younger self for believing he could change the world with his songs
Could you place the text on the left or ride side on your reaction part? Your pernouncing is sometimes weired but the main problem is I sometimes didn't knew where you where. But I like what you do
Thank you. I have thought about adding subtitles, but it takes a long time to do. Adding the text when I stop the video though may not be a bad idea though.

Almost all of his music is very critical and political, often talking about taboos. One of his songs is called "Mein Gott hat den längsten" ("my God has the longest" but is means "my God has the biggest dick") where he talks about the fact that religions have idiots following them. The song that really made him popular is called "Willst du" ("do you wanna") which sounds like it's pro drugs if you don't listen to close, but it really talks about what drugs can do to people in a very negative way.
This got long 0:
Have a nice day, everyone :)
I love that last line so much.
„Die Menschen sind nicht böse, die Menschen sind nur dumm“
„The humans aren’t evil, the humans are just dumb.“
I love the Kieler Woche Poster in the background! :D
So to learn German, Alligatoah is really an exciting choice! I speak German as my mother tongue and sometimes have problems understanding the lyrics.
RUclips recommended the reaction to Deine Schuld, I was intrigued, clicked and enjoyed it. Then I clicked on this video and saw the pictures in the back and was very delighted, because I recognized the Kieler Woche posters right away. Really missing the Kieler Woche. Almost 140 years of the biggest Volksfest in Northern Europe put on pause because stupid Covid.
Really enjoying your content, btw! I would recommend to react to "Das ist alles von der Kunstfreiheit gedeckt" from Danger Dan or "Amerika" by Rammstein. Especially the latter could be interesting.
Maybe you would enjoy the German band "Swiss und die Andern"
In German that hits deep
Everytime he said musik ist keine Lösung I had to think of Dorn im Ohr by Saltatio Mortis:
„Musik mag keine Lösung sein, doch sie ist ein Dorn im Ohr.“
Alligatoah talks a lot here? True, but then check out "Wie Zuhause" 🙈🙈🙈
A hint, if you're willing to do (a lot) longer videos hit pause a lot and repeat lines, might help to understand although I think its quite hard to understand slang anyways
Yeah I've done reactions that way, and personally I would prefer it, but sometimes they get mixed reactions.
I like your reactions 😊. Maybe you like to react to "jan böhmermann - be deutsch"
This is the best song for this format... the pale, thin boy is just a genius...
Please try out In Extremo with "Frei zu sein" i think you will enjoy it. It is an medieval rock band.
Maybe try a song like Alligatoah's Wie Zuhause? I love the music, but when he's going fast, I can't understand either.
this "somone in china is ordering rise" means this happens as offten as a chinese guy is odering rise
hopefully you can understand my english.
In China hat gerade jemand Reis bestellt is a variation on a common german allegory for 'nobody cares'.
I personally know it more commonly as 'In China ist ein Sack Reis umgefallen' (a bag of rice has fallen over in china)
I think the line about the rice bag is about the butterfly effect
The wingflap of a butterfly in Brazil could theoretically knock over a bag of rice in China.
Except knocking over a bag of rice in China isn't going to help anybody and
for some reason the bag is not being knocked over but ordered.
My hot guess is for rhyme or metric reasons.
Not sure whether or not it's chastising anybody, my read is
the singer is salty. He might be implying "look guys, this didn't worrk out, we need a new set of ideas"
but it's not really sung at any point, so my guess it's semi salty semi ironic.
It's a bittersweet enjoyment song which is true to itself in that it doesn't offer a solution either,
so it's kinda just as unnecessary.
The rice thing is a german saying meaning something is absolutely irrelevant.
@@ichhalt486 Ah I think I have heard it used that way too somewhere, you might be right.
What kind of music do you prefer?
I like all kinds of music really. I prefer harder music than this typically. But I like "alternative rock" or "indie rock" whatever you want to call it, as well.
"Lass liegen" by alligatoah would be a great Song to react. One of my fav with a great Massage. And I think its easier to understand
I actually did react to that song! It is in the playlist 😀
kaliba is a role Alligatoah plays. He plays in his songs the roles of Kaliba69 and DJ Deagle
Sind das im Hintergrund Bilder von der Kiel Woche?
Das war ein Airbnb, in dem ich war, während ich in Kiel war. Ich werde irgendwann ein Video von dieser Reise haben!
Alligatoah is his singer name and he got two fictional characters in some of his songs kaliba and I forgot the other one
I recently found your cannel and really enjoy your interpretations of the songs. :)
Did you already listen to Knorkator? You might also like 'Es wird schlimmer' by Die Apokalyptischen Reiter.
Versengold Märchen von morgen ist ein sehr schöner Song und man versteht es auch sehr gut.
Kaliba is Alligatoah's alter ego.
since you had 2 "Die Ärzte" songs already, why not add a 3rd?^^. the song JUNGE , could be said its about disappointed parents, because the son is wasting his live.
It's on my list!
"wenn du alles besser weist wieso sitzt du nicht im Bundestag"
well thats simple cause as a politician you cant change a shit
this reaction vidos solve more problems then any Bundestag Member
I hope you one day react to ASP Werben it's the sound of my wedding. I also would shout out K.i.Z.. Greatings from Germany. 👍
"In China hat gerade jemand Reis bestellt" means your song against the world is so insignificant like someone in china ordering rice
the song is metaphoric for "War is no solution" when the protesters go out and make a political song about it but in the end everyone is listening to the song but not to the message
This Song isnt a political statement, he say just: you cant change the system as artist and you shouldnt because nobody would longer pay you. Live your Life and get Happy and not sad because you didnt change anyone. It is the inner fight of the artist.
How about reacting to "Schwule Mädchen" from "Fettes Brot"?
I did it! It is in my reaction playlist 😀
@@SethinBerlin Oh, cool. I didn't check because I did a YT search for ractions to that song a while back and didn't find any.
Kaliba = Alligatoah as a DJ years ago
Kalibah is alligatoah old rap character. When starting his career he made very political songs and this is the older alligatoah mocking his younger self for believing he could change the world with his songs
Could you place the text on the left or ride side on your reaction part? Your pernouncing is sometimes weired but the main problem is I sometimes didn't knew where you where. But I like what you do
Thank you. I have thought about adding subtitles, but it takes a long time to do. Adding the text when I stop the video though may not be a bad idea though.
There is another song you should consider... it is folk music though... Reinhard Mey die Grenze.
Am German. Why your channel is called as "weltbürger"? It is a German Word. What is your connection to German language? I am new at your channel and cant figure it.
If you check out my non-reaction videos you can get a good feel for me. I consider myself a global citizen hence the name. And I started doing the reactions to help with my language skills
Can you understand what he is saying?
Not really lol
Kaliba is an Former Person he has played in old Videos. Hope that Helpls. Sub is out🎉
Its called like "Muhseek ist keine Loesung"
How about : das schöne leben - steiner and madlaina
Almost all of his music is very critical and political, often talking about taboos. One of his songs is called "Mein Gott hat den längsten" ("my God has the longest" but is means "my God has the biggest dick") where he talks about the fact that religions have idiots following them. The song that really made him popular is called "Willst du" ("do you wanna") which sounds like it's pro drugs if you don't listen to close, but it really talks about what drugs can do to people in a very negative way.
He is a very intelligent man and makes music that is hard to digest. So I get why people want you to listen to it. But I don't think Alligatoah is very appropriate for learning German, since he talks about difficult topics and used a lot of slang and specific terminology.
So all the Alligatoah Fans out there how many of u actually know who kaliba69 is
Das ist sogar für Muttersprachler kaum zu verstehen weil der so schnell singt !
I bought tickets to go to an alligatoah concert but it got cancelled I hate it here. I was really looking forward to it.
I had tickets to see Tool and it got cancelled. I get it .
It's spelled like it's pronounced.
Please make a reaction to any song of Fynn Kliemann 😁
Thank you! Added to my list!
Verstehst du das ohne Untertitel überhaupt ?
HAHAHAHA Nein! Ein bisschen vielleicht
Kaliba69 is one of his aliases
If you want a song by Aligatoah with easy lyrics, i highly recommend "Immer wenn ich traurig bin" ;).
.
.
.
.
.
It's basically one sentence repeated over and over again.
P.S. Bei Deinen Videos kann man nicht meckern!
Well, it's just a cover
Könntest du bitte hierzu ein Reaction-Video machen? ruclips.net/video/U4NZjwnItd4/видео.html
Thank you! Added to my list!
The Nato and Putin should hear this song right now..
Its alliGAtoah not alligaTHOR
Thanks for watching! I mean that’s what I said but whatever. Thanks for helping the algorithm 😀
@@SethinBerlin no problem xD was a cool video! Just wanted to let the hermione hang out lmao
Puh I thing this german is too hard for you.
This German was really hard for me!
@@SethinBerlin The kind of this lyrics are also hard for me and I'm german. ;-) I understand less then the half.
