It needs to be said, these guys keep saying "but questioning is not a sin" .... Brothers, this is bearing false witness, these are not really questions, these are accusations, and they do not hold up to scrutiny before the witness of history.
This is such good content, Javier! While it's a pity that one who is in Christian apologetics has to put out content like this (speaks to the state of affairs of the scene), it's great that we have faithful Christians to push back against the worrying growing trends!
On the last question: Those who deny the Holocaust can not have any reasonable faith in the historicisity of Jesus's birth, life, death, and resurrection.
History degree here, studied Holocaust in college, Holocaust denial is nuts. Protestants should love history, as Christianity is a historical religion, and historical evidence is helpful in showing the innovations of Rome and the Eastern Orthodox. I remember learning the intentionalist and functionalist views.
Great stuff Javier and Jacob! It’s disheartening that these conspiracies are popular in some Christian circles. Studying and acknowledging history should be especially important for us as Christians - We confess that Christ rose from the dead IN HISTORY! History matters because the truth matters.
Denial, in the strict sense, involves consciously rejecting something that one knows or acknowledges to exist. So, if a person is convinced that something doesn't exist and refuses to accept evidence to the contrary, that would be a rejection or rejection of evidence rather than denial. In denial, there’s typically a conflict between what is known or perceived and the refusal to accept it, often due to emotional, psychological, or defensive reasons. In the case of someone who is convinced something doesn't exist but refuses to consider evidence, they are not technically denying its existence in the psychological sense. Instead, they are closed off to reconsidering their beliefs or committed to a certain viewpoint, even in the face of contrary evidence. This might be better described as belief persistence or cognitive rigidity rather than denial. So, to clarify: Denial involves rejecting something known or perceived to be true. Rejection or refusal to accept evidence occurs when someone is convinced something doesn't exist, but they are unwilling to alter their belief regardless of new information. A balanced treatment of this difficult topic would be a debate between a revisionist (Germar Rudolf ?) and Jacob.

@@Mrtipps1234 I was actually thinking about this recently, prompted particularly when Daryl Cooper was interviewed by Tucker Carlson and brought this to the fore. There is so much propaganda and distortion, and for some reason it has gone unquestioned for a very long time. I think Cooper was right that we need to address this, there are clearly a lot of things that the modern re-telling of history is just wrong about. I personally see it going even further than he does, as I see analogues between what is happening in our nations today, especially pertaining to identity ideologies, as well as anti-Christian propaganda; and those people, and the fact that they use this event as a shield to protect them from deserved criticism. However, there is danger for those in the vanguard. Cooper received a lot of backlash for his very mild and tame introduction to questioning that period. Didn’t a prominent TLM Bishop deny the existence of gas chambers?

You're just a denier
Your point only holds if one accepts that denial must only be a conscious act. But that's not how the word is used.
