- After graduating from the Conservatório Internacional de Ballet e Dança in Leiria in July 2021, António Casalinho and Margarita Fernandes were engaged as soloists with the Bayerisches Staatsballett. In this short film, they recall the ballets they have performed since joining the company.
It is such a pleasure to listen to these two charming dancers talk with great enthusiasm about Munich and their various roles in the theater. They both display talent, boundless energy amd beautiful lines. All the best to them!!❤❤💞💞❤
Thank you for this update of two of my favourite dancers. It's good to know that they are happy at the Bayerische Staatsoper Ballet and are rapidly growing in an artistic sense. I would have loved to see them in Roland Petit's Coppelia which is a version of the story that I particularly like. 🌹🩰❤️
Lovely to see the extraordinarily talented António Casalinho’s amazing first year as a soloist in Munich. What a wide range of roles he has performed and so nice to see him relishing every moment. His passion comes through and his eyes sparkle as he describes each role, his attention to detail, the composers, this is what makes him a complete artist. I look forward to seeing what this rising star of the ballet world achieves this season. And hopefully a much deserved promotion is on the horizon.

I have no words to adequately express my reaction to the enthusiasm and versatility of these two marvelous dancers. We are so privileged to watch them grow in their talent. Bravo Margarita and Antonio, you both are simply the best!😍🤩
So happy to see these two get a chance to show their talent on the professional stage. I do hope they will continue to work together, as it seems to me this is an exceptional partnership. Of course Antonio takes centre stage, but I think the bright joyful spirit of Margarita Fernandes is delightful - and to my inexpert eye, she seems to be a technically skillful dancer too. Good luck to them both!
