I did the Decha tube, no exhaust and according to my ‘butt dyno’ it made a difference.
I found I hit higher RPM’s across the board and got to those RPM’s faster compared to stock. Just my experience 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think if you ride it for a while after the mod, especially riding with a lot of WOT, the ECU will trim more fuel giving better performance. It’s what I saw after also adding the exhaust. So I think your butt dyno could be telling the truth!

You should also upgrade to a K&N Air Filter, they allow up to 50% more air to go into the engine I have one paired up with the DHM Tube you have but I’m using a completely stock airbox cover as I also ride all year round. The K&N made a huge difference over a stock filter. By the way are you planning on running a stage 1 ECU tune where you’ve got both intake and exhaust?

I'll look into the air cleaner. Testing on the CRF300L one showed it wasn't terrible when clean, and it's the same size as the Grom one. But that doesn't mean we can't make it better, right?
The exhaust video is up (ruclips.net/video/N0J1jLwR0Pc/видео.html), no ECU change yet but it is on my list of changes!

ive been trying to find videos on the decha tube for a while. i did mine maybe 5 months ago. i also run the K&N air filter and the K&N oil filter with royal purple 10w40maxcycle. i also have a cheap amazon exhaust but i want the yoshimura rs-9t in the future as my amazon exhaust is already rattling. what are you thinking of your setup? not many people modify the stock airbox and some get an oil cooler to support the fairings with big bore setups.

I’m really pleased with my setup. The intake mods with the Decha tube and modified cover seem to be an improvement. Combined with the high mount Tyga exhaust, I’ve seen a significant gain in overall performance.

@@RC-Engineering dont forget the ecu flash, the motors come running lean from the factory due to emissions which is why airbox was so choked off. The ecu will not be able to see the new amount of air and less restriction due to the lack of wideband sensor (02) and with same fuel trim and more air youll run hotter than stock!!!

Why did you choose to go decha tube instead of the full airbox delete options like chimera or mmtnbox?

For weatherproofness. I intend on riding year round and need the bike to be ok in rain. Plus I ride on dusty road at times and need that protection too. So far no water issues and even in heavy dust the air cleaner doesn’t see much. Happy with this setup!

Do you sell the bell mouth or have an stl?

    • @RC-Engineering

It’s quite a DIY thing and was not something I want to commercialize. It took a good bit of fitting and there’s no way I could “guarantee” its success.

@@RC-Engineering I get that I’m like you I want to ride in all weather conditions and increase the air intake volume. I’ve used bell mouth intakes on my k-series civics with measurable success. Figured I’d ask before moving forward on my own. Did you print it out of pla or abs?

    • @RC-Engineering

I printed in PETG. I’ve done something similar on my CRF300 airbox and its stood up really well.

@@RC-Engineering haha are we twins? Red 2023 groms and I’m also looking at buying a 300L rally.

That’s what I have, the Rally, lol. I’ve since sold the Grom though and have a NX500 in its place. Loved the Grom but I go on longer distance adventures with the NX.
