    That was really fun to watch. Got to see how people had such a good sense of humor. Loved seeing the street and cars back then. Class act. My father played a lot of Count Basie. He loved jazz.

    This is the best IGaS I have ever watched. Live TV was so much fun back then, and it was neither vulgar nor crass like so much of the garbage that passes as entertainment on TV today.

    This show was made the year my brother was born.
    I notice they were raising money for “Hungarian emergency relief.” It was also the year of the failed Hungarian uprising against Soviet domination.

      yes it's wild to think of! A lot of them had long careers. And they were such vibrant people, some of them pictured at the "peak" of their lives here in this episode. These episodes are so funny and lively and it suddenly feels shocking to remember that this was 70 years ago and that now everyone seen here has passed away.

      Cigarettes killed Garry Moore, Bill Cullen, and Henry Morgan. They all died of lung cancer or emphysema.
