This show was made the year my brother was born. I notice they were raising money for “Hungarian emergency relief.” It was also the year of the failed Hungarian uprising against Soviet domination.
yes it's wild to think of! A lot of them had long careers. And they were such vibrant people, some of them pictured at the "peak" of their lives here in this episode. These episodes are so funny and lively and it suddenly feels shocking to remember that this was 70 years ago and that now everyone seen here has passed away.
*is in hysterics laughing* The only thing that would have made this funnier is if this had been the Garry Moore Show which had Ken Carson and Durward Kirby!
I was born in 1956. It's nice to see how much fun TV was back then.
