This is that same game, where they called Scott Campbell in from the crowd and signed him to a contract. He had already made the team, but wasn’t slated to start working with them until the next season. Injuries to Archer and Turk Schonert allowed him to start a year early.
Wow! Thanks for posting this! I've been searching for this game on RUclips for awhile! This game was a far cry from the 36-0 Bears win over the Falcons at Soldier Field in 1985. The Bears had more than several of these tight, tense low scoring defensive struggle games in 1986. Now you gotta find the Bears/Lions Monday night 13-10 struggle from 1986 at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan.
Its out there. I've seen it. What I remember most is how Ditkas personality carried over to his team, willing them to a win in a game there offense really struggled, mainly due to the first game Flute got extended playing time
Dobler was considered the dirtiest plater in football, especially by opposing teams. He was considered dirtier than even Mean Joe Greene, who Mean Joe moniker came about because he was considered pretty dirty himself. How many remember Mean Joe getting ejected in a 1977 playoff game against the Broncos for punching Broncos guard Paul Howard between the legs because he thought Howard was holding him on every play and never getting called for it?
He stunk, so badly at times the Bears brought Doug Rlutie from off the street and started him in a playoff game, which they lost. The defense carried that te am, giving up fewer points than the 1985 champions. Tomczak did more to help the opposition than his own team. The Bears opponents all saw Tomzcak stared down his intended receiver, a problem he never corrected
THANK YOU for keeping the postgame show. Love seeing this for the first time!

Damn... Madden was always cheerleading for dallas--even in games that the cowpies weren't in.
Madden owned getting his announcing gig to Cowboys GM Gil Brandt, whos input was very. Respected by Tv execs
Lol

You're welcome. Unfortunately I don't have any of the other games you mentioned.

Great video 📷 quality.
Both former Cardinals players in the halftime show . Dan Dierdorf & Conrad Dobler.

I am always surprised 🙀 that this game is in full screen.
Mike Tomczak went 7-0 in 1986 despite throwing 2 touchdowns to 10 interceptions
Bears 🐻🐻 never had an outstanding 🤩 quarterback since the days of Jim McMahon.

Commercials for a game under 3hrs. What a novel concept.
RIP John Madden.
1:10:24 The infamous Conrad Dobler commercial!
1:47:08 Oh, does Bruce Willis have an ever lot of soul!
2:17:06 Thank you, Cathy Lee Crosby!
U have the game when the bears play the Vikings in 1986 at metrodome when they lost 23-7
" Iron" Mike Ditka had to be the second best coach the Chicago Bears 🐻🐻 ever had.
Do you have the Bears/Falcons SNF game from 2005?
I'm sorry I don't. Was that the game that Sexy Rexy returned to replace Orton as QB?
PigDog Video2001 it was.
@@PigDogVideo Yep!
@@PigDogVideo Why did you skip the first quarter of this game?
