I was 11 years old at the time when this april fools hack occured and to be honest with you I was scared Roblox would end. But here I am 9 years later and Roblox is still running and going just fine for now.

I got locked out of my account for 2 days without knowing it since I wasn't home at the time, by the time I arrived back hope from vacation I remember seeing a bunch of unfiltered swearing plastered on my feed along with a weird outfit & some weird hats that later found out that they released themselves. It was a very scary time for everyone indeed, alot of people lost their accounts, it seemed like for awhile the platform had truly succumbed to the hacking. I was extremely lucky since my verified email didn't get deleted/changed those days, and I was able to recover my account. This video reminds me of how scary those hours were, but along with how far the platform has come since then.

I was online trying to find games when this happened and now I found this video. I almost cried. This has to be the most nostalgic video for me. Especially when this happened I was 7 year old. I quickly noticed that something was wrong and man I was more right then I tought I was. This has to be the most terrible moment of Rblox history. I wish I could experience 2012 Roblox again.
I remember having Builders Club and a mansion build that was pretty big. I remember the day I finished the build. I got around 200 visits on my build I made. I was aoways happy playing Roblox and meeting new people. I had 2 Roblox friends I played with almost every weekend. It's all gone now. Everything Roblox gave me was a huge slap on my face around february 2013. I was playing actively from January 2012 to February 2013. Roblox banned me for cheating in games. I was called hacker in a sword fight game getting over 150 kills and I got banned.

Don't know about you but it's more you like you couldn't see the chat at all. You could only chat on the pre-made words on the side to click on or at least that was my first experience with roblox. I really shouldn't have given my real age. Lol. I eventually did be able to chat but I literally didn't know there was chat first the first few months I played. That was all back to 2010 by the way but for 2012 maybe it was the same? I changed my age so I don't know, and it's now wierd that people think 2012 is some good old days when it was the same for me looking at 2008. It's usually people who didn't experience it say that. I was an avid roblox player back in 2009-2013. Those hours upon hours I spent playing those nogalstic games with my schoolmates were incredible. Now we're all 1st year university students studying computer engineering. I came across this video in my younger brother's feed and I just had to watch it! I don't know about you but you're literally seeing someone playing a 2008 simulator. They thought the same thing since a lot of changes happened between 2011-2012 so 2012, and 2011 players never experienced 2008-2010 players had. I mean even late 2009, and 2010 players didn't experience 2008, and early 2009 players had or all 2009 players, and late 2008 for missing the first ever Egg hunt or all 2008 players missing so much from 2007- you get the idea. It's usually people who didn't experience it say it the good old days for some reason.

I don't think the ROBLOX admins did this as a joke AT ALL. They wouldn't say nasty comments on the forums or shout out useless information in the banners. The banners on the top of the homepage ONLY shout out important events in ROBLOX, for example, the BLOXcon, The Next Level, etc. And why would they shutdown the entire website? That is not a joke, it has to do with a really urgent action, in this case it was hackers that messed up the website and even hacked the administrators.
