As a retail employee I can assure you, Black Friday is a nightmare. I had customers yelling and complaining that they have been waiting in line for 20 min and I’m like “amm... it’s freaking Black Friday, what are you expecting people?!” And ending up staying almost overnight cleaning the mess
I worked at Target and it was insanity. People were running and demanding items we didn’t have. One lady left to go to a Walmart across the street. I told her she had 15 minutes till we close. She left her basket and ran out. She came back at 1:30 am, beating on our doors and was kicking it too. Our security went out and escorted her to her car.
Worked a Black Friday at target 3-4 years ago. Everything seemed fine I just yelled at a lot for why me and others couldn’t sell them beer . In my area after 2am you can’t buy it until 8am.
I don’t go outside on Black Friday. (Mostly cuz I’m twelve and my mom is scared I might get hurt in stores because I’m smaller than normal for my age,She’s not overprotective.) I stay in my room and watch Black Friday (Starkid)
I always hear these stories and made me SCARED. This year was my first year going and I went at midnight and I had a great experience. Lines weren’t bad and everyone was respectful and I live in NY. 🤷🏻♀️
luckily the one year I worked at WalMart I was going to college too so the one big day of the week with my classes were on Fridays so I had it off, Thank every spiritual being you know of it, I was a truck unloader so I did have to move all the Black Friday product that came in towards the build up of the day, so was interesting to find places to cram it all in the stock room
It not worth it to me to see the rudeness of people fighting over material thing. And people bumping people with their shopping cart. No thank..I'm home reading a good book with tea.
“She had a whole baby” got me. LOL Why do people not realize you really only need 1/2 of a baby with you on Black Friday? The rest is just cumbersome to tote around.
My wife and I go shopping for our son every Black Friday while his grandparents take him to see Santa. (He’s 6.) We usually leave the house around 9/10 A.M. and we’ve never had an issue and we can always find what we want to get him. Then we have a nice meal together and call it a day. Then Saturday we all go together and I cut down a Christmas tree my wife picks out at a local Christmas tree farm. Be an adult people.
In fairness to the people asking for a bathroom - obviously, they were incredibly rude and the store wasn't obligated to offer them use of a toilet (as that guy said, it made it really easy to steal stuff from the stock room). BUT a lack of public bathrooms is actually a huge problem in many Western countries. In the UK, more and more of them are closing because funding cuts for local councils means they can no longer afford to maintain them. Just imagine, if big companies that hold Black Friday sales paid their fair share in taxes, maybe we'd have more funding for public facilities people could use all year round 🤔
I worked a store event where the first 100 people got these cheap cookie cutters and mini whisks. You would have thought they were iPads the way these women were fighting over them. Oh, and it was a religious book store. So they were literally screaming at each other in front of paintings of Jesus and "Peace on Earth" plaques. I worked there seven months before I had to leave so I didn't completely lose all faith in humanity.
My first time working Black Friday to New Year's Day, traumatized me so much. I stopped working in that industry five years ago, and I still have a hard time celebrating because people are psychos. But, therapy helped. People on the street would say, "Merry Christmas" and I'd want to say "Shut up" or "Go to hell" in return. I don't do that. And I no longer have the urge to tell every child that Santa isn't real and there is no joy in the world. I do, however, suffer from minor agoraphobia that heightens around the holidays, but it's getting better. Yay.
Retail store employees circa 1994.. Manager resigned position suddenly. I’ve been Black Friday shopping since 2012 and it has NEVER been as bad as its made out to be. I’ve worked 3 at one of the most prominent stores and it wasn’t bad at all (other than working for 16 hours straight). Even as a shopper, ive stopped to help others find what they’re looking for 😂 maybe we’re just more friendly in Texas
Most stores have the same prices on their websites. You can have a chill thanksgiving and sleep in the next day and when you wake up do the online shopping for the same price as the store prices. They all offer free shipping too
Last time I worked on Black Friday (and retail) was 2 years ago. The people turn into werewolves and after the end of the day, we had to clean up the mess they left! One time I got home close to 3am because of the mess people made at the store! I don't miss it at all! I now work at an office job and enjoy not working weekends.
Damm people needs to be nice with employees not just Black Friday, but the retail workers and food workers they work hard and be nice to them because is not easy .

Dude I have so many blackfriday stories haha you literally see and encounter so many rude people ALL ages teens ..to adults..
I've been out of retail for a while now and this video triggered all the old holiday anxiety.
Honestly if ever you want a good horror/comedy film it would be Black Friday.
I did Black Friday for 5 years... NEVER AGAIN!!!! Lol
I work in retail and every day, I hate people just a little bit more.
Let me set the scene: me, 7 years old on Black Friday, pushed over by a middle aged woman for a Walmart crockpot
That biting story is unreal!
luckily the one year I worked at WalMart I was going to college too so the one big day of the week with my classes were on Fridays so I had it off, Thank every spiritual being you know of it, I was a truck unloader so I did have to move all the Black Friday product that came in towards the build up of the day, so was interesting to find places to cram it all in the stock room
A lady scratched me when i was 11 cuz she was trying to get a toy out of my hand
child of the mountain what the frick 🤣🤣🤣
That's mean
They should make more story videos
Hahah the 1st guys nails though🤘🏼🤘🏼🤣
Black Friday is literally the most dangerous holiday. I love it!💀
It not worth it to me to see the rudeness of people fighting over material thing. And people bumping people with their shopping cart. No thank..I'm home reading a good book with tea.
“She had a whole baby” got me. LOL Why do people not realize you really only need 1/2 of a baby with you on Black Friday? The rest is just cumbersome to tote around.
I know you can just stick a couple legs in your pockets😃🤪😆
I want Angel's nails. They look perfect.
We have Black Friday in Canada but nothing like this happens. People are respectful and kind of to each other.
"A WHOLE BABY"
Wait... So there are half babys?
I love that guy.
Why oh why would any sane person go out half drunk at midnight to buy bad bad quality crap with other half drunk strangers?? Never been, never will.
Caught a virus and had to call out of work for Black Friday. I physically feel miserable, but I will count it as a blessing.
Yay.
Black Friday builds character. 😌
Why didn't I see this in the malls in Canada? Oh wait, it's Canada.
Retail store employees circa 1994.. Manager resigned position suddenly. Store being run by assistant managers pending a new manager soon to be assigned, arriving next week in fact from the time below conversation took place. Myself, another associate, two female asst mgrs, and Stockroom coordinator Dan. Dan has been goofing off since the manager left and has been bragging about it......
Asst mgr 2: You better stop goofing off Dan when the new manager gets here next week. You’re gonna get fired!
Dan: That’s alright. By that time.........[dramatic pause] I’ll know what kinda carrrr hee drives. [smirk]
Asst mgr # 1: Oh suuure Dan! Whatcha gonna do??
Dan: I’ll trash his f’n carrrr!!
I shopped all day black friday and it was so fun honestly
BOYYY, YOUR NAILS ARE FIREEEEEEEEE😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥
I’ve been Black Friday shopping since 2012 and it has NEVER been as bad as its made out to be. I’ve worked 3 at one of the most prominent stores and it wasn’t bad at all (other than working for 16 hours straight). Even as a shopper, ive stopped to help others find what they’re looking for 😂 maybe we’re just more friendly in Texas
I worked in retail for 22 years and retail management for 17 years and boyyyyyy do I have some stories uggghhh 😵
I want to know 😁
I would love to be there and watch how drama evolves there... and just tel them how they are going to hell for the stupidest reason lol
Wowza. And to to think I thought that just having to stand in long lines during Black Friday was bad! RIP to all those American retail workers.
Black Friday only really seems to be such a big deal in America😭😭😭💀in the UK we have sales and stuff but it’s not as crazy and most people just order things from the Black Friday sales online, you guys always be doing the most lmfaoo😭💀💀
Black Friday sales have come to Australia and this video makes Aussies look normal!!
I live in Canada and we went to a store to get my fitbit on boxing day. My bf was driving and someone was backing up out of a spot so my bf puts on his blinker. This guy on the opposite side blocks the spot saying he's backing into it. My bf says, "Dude I had my blinker on you didn't." He wouldn't budge so my bf just took a different spot. Most Canadian fight I've ever seen lol. No yelling, no honking, just a convo and drove off
Good luck to everyone working tomorrow!
Did anybody notice the first guy’s nails? Yas Queen 👑
