But of course his work from beta 1 carried over! Tag mode, brutalities (trilogy style), the new coin up screen, and new select screen are his work, as well as the bank restoration (i restored the mk3 portal). from the classic select screen to choose rain, go to reptile, press and hold up and then press high kick. I'll make the change log publicly available on my channel! Gameplay out of the box is 1.2, there are balance options available in the f3/operator menu. This way we keep the original gameplay intact while offering options for changes to balance

You guys did a hell of a job on this version, I wish THIS was the version that came out so many years ago, I may have been inclined to play more and study the ways of UMK3, I played more after this video and looked up some “cheats” and how to’s even. i never get tired of the characters dancing on the character selection screen with that cool music playing in the background i could watch them dance all day
Awesome, finally you met UMK3+ Beta 2, I play this version every day, I also make videos/shorts of various combos, fatalities, Anim, Brut, Friend and Babalitys.🤘🏼🔥
I really hated how UMK3 cut out so many other stages , I thought it was supposed to just an upgrade. But, this version really seems to knock it out of the park.
Correct they were not cut out, well actually The Bank was and was replaced with Jade's Desert after The Sstreet in the stage rotation. The new backgrounds cycle twice in a row before going back to regular MK3 stages...aside from The Lost Bridge (Blue Portal).
Never cut but the original kept looping the new stages over and over again until maybe after 3 or 4 cycles then it finally starts the Subway stage and the MK3 stages UMK3+ is way better
They weren’t cut, but I think you’d only cycle to them in 2 player versus mode (forget if it was only with kombat kodes or not). But yes, I guess the idea was for arcade players to experience the new backgrounds only. I love that this Plus mod lets you toggle to have all backgrounds be random

I saw a log of all the changes made and it’s extremely impressive everything that went into making this better then arcade perfect version, big ups to Teh for sure the man is a genius.
5:56 The clouds in the doorways are also present in the N64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Also, if you look closely at the dragon in the center of the floor, you can see that the light is flashing, which also originated in N64 Trilogy.

The secret to tricking th A.I. in UMK3 isbstand still press up. As soon as opponent walks over, do ur combo from the air for max damage. Rinse and repeat
Three tricks against the AI on UMK3: 1. Sweep from a distance and wait until they jump backwards and RUN up to you (it mostly works with Scorpion). 2. Jump up and do a LK on their head and wait until they RUN up to you followed by a combo(works effectively with Human Subzero, Nightwolf and Noob Saibot). 3. Jump backwards and do HK and wait until they RUN up to you then do a combo. Now sometimes it doesn’t work(for example, on Liu Kang because he spams the fireballs or Milenna’s jump and Sai)
We have two cabinets with that ROM here in Maryland. One at Crabtowne USA in Glen Burnie MD, and the other at GameOn Barcade in Columbia MD. Both places I frequent regularly with my crew.

There are all sorts of "Fan Made" Mortal Kombat Mugen games for Pc. My suggestion: Mortal Kombat: The Dragon Tournament I think it would be something to introduce on the channel.
Rain is in this version but as a secret character, I think there’s 3 more secret characters in this one, haven’t done the research to find out yet though.
How did the dev get lines from Shao Khan that were never recorded in the original? Is there some voice mimicking software or something? I don't recall that "it's official, you suck" line in the original
In the original UMK3, when you beat the game, select "3" from the prizes and you will fight Noob Saibot. Every round you lose by him, Shao Khan says "It's official. You suck".
If you played the arcade version there was no rain or noob that was only home versions, and on the version I had on snes sheeva was a glitch you could play I’ve never actually played the UMK3 arcade
If you love the original arcade game, this adds so much to it. Not just characters, but so many custom options accessible in the operator menu (extended finisher time, having the CPU always do a finisher if they win, randomize stage backgrounds, alternate character select screen, etc.
I personaly never liked MK3.. It looks really cheap made with the 6 pairs of legs if the opponent gets blown up etc.. Esp after MK2 it's such a down grade

They were never cut out, they're still in the game. The new stages blue portal, hell stage etc were first then subway, street etc. were added last.

One small detail I noticed is the return of the tune that plays when a player achieves a Flawless Victory like in the Original MK 3 arcade version.

I purchased a 1up arcade MK2 and I hate that the characters are extremely blocky and I guess I'm going to mod it to fix that serious problem.

In the original UMK3, when you beat the game, select "3" from the prizes and you will fight Noob Saibot. Every round you lose by him, Shao Khan says "It's official. You suck".
He’d also sometimes say it if you put in an incorrect ultimate Kombat code.
That's standard Noob's win sound in arcade UMK3. It's just that the Noob fight in vanilla UMK3 doesn't come up often.
It's also one of the CD tracks in the Saturn version of UMK3, so it's been around since back in the day.
