If you take the original cables off if there not broken take them and dip them in a pan with new motor oil for a few days and when you take them out they will work like new.
@@321CrashandBurn I want to say yes. The heater valve and climate unit is all in the same spot on LHD/RHD. You can custom cut those notches and clip the cables where you need to also. I cant see a situation where the cables are too short.
4 piece set of what? It may not work with LHD cars as the HVAC boxes are now on the left side on a RHD car. The cables at least will be different lengths.
I want to gut and simplify what has been done behind the dash. Maybe find a smaller heater core and blower unit to save space. I need heat, not having a/c would be fine if the temperatures remain lower than 100°f. I have a 20v with the T3 waterline kit and a pipercross air filter over the itb's, there's hardly any room in the bay as well. So, that's something else I need to change.
Actually, my massive brain (approx. 300 IQ) and I came up with another solution. I clipped 20mm of the original cable and used the sheathing from it. I drilled the hole the old cable would travel through up to 1/8th and then sliced down the center of the sheathing so I could wrap it around the new cable. Then I duct taped it to the sheathing of the new cable.
Good explanation , very useful info. Do you know if this clamp will fit for the cable which changing different positions of ventilation by the control unit ? Last time I removed control unit and this clamp crack , and the cable is not holding anymore ((
This is such a relief knowing a better alternative exists. Thanks for the knowledge.
You got it! I bet many of us need these cables!
Dang I replaced the valve in the engine bay but now I wonder if I need the cable too. Great content as always
Glad you found this useful. Most cables are seized or close to by now.
Impressive work! Keep it up Ezekiel!
Much appreciated!
I’ve got a Tacoma, wonder if the 4runnwr sleeve can fit on mine

Ebay got RHD 4 piece set from japan, but not sure if they will work for our LHD car.
