I advised the neighbor so that it could be properly reinforced so that it wouldn’t collapse if people were in it. They also built a cinderblock wall that is higher than 8 foot tall at the property line. It’s rather ridiculous since we live on a hill and I can clearly over it from my 2 story house and 2 level deck, the upper one is 3 stories off the ground due to the slope. I doubt it was reinforced. They had a 6’ privacy fence and built the wall inside it then the contractor wanted to come on my side to tear it down and I refused. Gramercy Park has such amazing history. I'm reading "All This and Heaven Too" about the French governess Mademoiselle Deluzy-Desportes of the notorious Duc de Praselin murder case. After a horrific trial and destitute, loyal friends secured her a position at an elite girls school on Gramercy Park. She then married the Reverend Henry Field of the successful Field family. Her "salon" on 102 East Eighteenth St., just below Gramercy Park, attracted famous and upcoming leaders, artists, thinkers of the day such as Peter Cooper (Cooper Union), William Bryant, Samuel Morse. In this apt. the purple room bothers me.

Croque chili .. isn't just chili.. it is a deep fried chili sandwich..the thing on the roof, is a vent for gas appliances.. and the pink room/hallway..is/was probably used for mediation. So it must have a color changer somewhere.
Surprised they couldn't have the washer/dryer installed under the stairs and a shower installed in the bathroom. Not surprised they found the only right hand microwave for the upper left hand corner of the kitchen.
First off. Another great video. For the life of me, why would anyone pay 14K on rent. Might as well just burn the money. If it was toward a mortgage (still extremely high) maybe it would make sense…maybe. Why do you think folks are gushing over these high rent prices? Is is they must live in NY?
Those are vent pipes either for the drains or the heating/dryer systems) and that wiring is probably a grounding wire but should not be run like that! What makes this illegal? I may have missed it but don't recall you mentioning that? Yeah $14k is a bit beyond most budgets but perhaps good for a subletting arrangement. BTW STARBUCKS is the WORST coffee, Dunkin is pretty good by comparison.
Interesting...I’ve never tried Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, but most people rave about it, so I was surprised when you said it’s awful. However, I was reassured when you later said you don’t like Starbucks, which most people also think is great. IMO, it’s vile, so you’re probably spot on about Dunkin’ Donuts, too.
Just stumbled on your channel. Interesting snapshot of New York. As for the townhouse... if it was all mine for the listed property value, that would not be too bad considering the location. Sounds like it's only around 175% the value of my house in Pennsylvania and only slightly smaller in terms of total square footage. But again, the house is in NYC and a block away from some seriously nice dining and decent shopping. To rent though... BWHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah no. Especially not knowing what's included in the rent like parking or utilities and when everyone's citing 14K a month to rent. 14,000 a month, Christ that's more then my mortgage for an entire year. If I owned that house though... those stairs are getting either replaced or getting some back panels welded on. Yes they look nice and artsy but they're also a tripping hazard as you showed. I also don't "get" that tunnel and the wine cellar. Has to be a code thing, the building needed access to those seemingly random access panels you showed us so they built the tunnel and room. So the builder/owner is trying to make the most of the otherwise useless space. Again, if I owned the property, that room would be either a workshop or a pantry. The tunnel would be widened to fit some shelves and the lighting would be replaced with something that doesn't sing "Porn Star Dancing!" Otherwise, nice place for being in one of the busiest cities in America.
Rent prices will only keep going up if you let the landlords charge the outrageous prices - I don't spend $14k per month on ANYTHING and I'm struggling to live... In fact, I pay just over $18k per YEAR for my rent.

@@zw3565 Yes. I get it when people do not want to be bothered with the maintenance, etc. that comes with home ownership but... $14K/month? That's A LOT of money! Also, if I'm making that type of money, I don't think that--no, there's no "think" in it... I wouldn't want roommates.
@@sinash & I wouldn't be wanting to make dinnertime else rich off my tent payment. I'd be looking to own something
Ugh. I love what you're showing us of the city, but I have more room in my basement than some of these apartments have in total. This one is nice, but it costs almost three times what my mortgage is right now, and I have a 2-story 4BR house on a half acre 8 miles west of Atlanta. Craaaazy.
I love your videos, though!!
Shocked if that place rents for anything close to what they’re asking.
You'r probably right the last tenant would have to have been a pro athlete to afford $14k a month in rent.
I believe those stairs are known as floating stairs! I couldn't do it! I had a spinal injury in 2008 and repeated surgery was necessary to deal w the damage- the last in 2014 finally fixed my issues but left me unable to feel 80% of my left foot and leg so- I fall A LOT and I have to b careful about walking!!!!!
Dude flims a robbery in progress on the way to show this apartment, lol classic NYC!
🤣🤣The funniest part was I went through almost the entire video thinking he meant it was on sale for 14k..as in buy, not rent, and I went the whole video being all like ‘okay, not too bad, it’s a fixer but fuck, I’ll buy the property for 14k and fix her up, good investment’🤣🤣🤣
I live in San Diego,CA as well where rent prices are absolutely mind blowingly criminal- I’m paying 2,500 for a 154 sqft studio. BUT who that actual f*** is paying 14k a month, 14k a MONTH!? Minds as well just buy a house at that point.
Plenty of losers who want that "new york city life" experience. and are willing to pay that kind of money.
Dog & Bone is rhyming slang here in the UK for telephone ... still no idea why they would name an eatery after it 😂😂
It's always a good day when Cash is on.
Great videos! I really enjoy them. I live vicariously in a New York micro apartment watching your work. What makes the apartments you call illegal, "illegal?"
I think he really means "insanely". 😁
CONGRATS on the new addition to the family 😀
1:05 in germany we call it a "fußgängerzone" (pedestrian zone). no cars allowed except cleaning cars from the city. bikes are not allowed too, you have to push it (or at least you should).
14K a month is an absolute ripoff. This place is worth 8k. You can live in a big luxury doorman building for a lower price.
That staircase is terrifying and I almost had a panic attack looking at it.
This is Gonna b so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Thursday😀….
I live in Texas. I have a 1 acre lot w/a 1800 square foot home. 2 car garage for $1200 a month. I will not be moving. This is insanity!
Always showing different apartments Thank You for the education.
I love that it’s like a little island among those other big buildings
The wire on the roof could be a Eruv so best check before cutting or removing it. If it continues to other buildings it may be.
OMG!!!! 😲🤭🥳🥳🥳🥳 I am so excited for you guys! 🎉🥰Your going to have a new little human!! 💝You guys make beautiful babies! And your daughter will have a sibling! So many people say they wish they could have had a brother or sister when they got older. A lot of people miss having a sibling! Your daughter will benefit! 👍 Hope all goes well for your cute little wife! 👍😊 Too cool! 🌷🫶👩🏽🍼
Good afternoon Cash. Thanks so much for including a snippet of your wife. I can't believe it's almost baby time. I don't know why I can never remember your wife's name but I know it begins with a K. Your new baby will share December with me yeah. Is Princess excited about the baby? Sending calm soothing vibes to your wife and home for a safe healthy delivery.
Congratulations on the new baby.
Cool!
One of my favorite Bette Davis movies, "All This and Heaven Too." Can you imagine Bette Davis as a school teacher?
Chipotle and Dunkin...you make me laugh about both of these...However, you are so on POINT...(never did Dunkin but just don't do chipotle any longer BUT you put the "icing on the cake" with it runs like water OMG!!! LOL 🤣 (or something to that effect)...
NYC really skewed my perspective! I was thinking 14k for this isn't that bad! The comments gave me a reality check though haha
Congratulations on the new baby on the way!
$14,000 a month? That's what it would cost to live in a rather decent apartment for a year! Not to mention falling through that staircase, would probably be your ER bill. Aside from that I didn't like anything in this apartment. I did enjoy the neighborhood and "Cash" of course bringing humor to this rather un-vibey space.
Anyone else think the cellar used to be something else.... 😉😆
The pink lights give it away! 🙉 💗🙈
Hell you would _have_ to do something like that in order to pay the rent!!
That's exactly what I was thinking haha that's a grow room and we all know it
Wait. I missed the part about why this kind of apartment is illegal...anyone...? Congratulations on the new little bebe, Cash Jordan and family! Does anyone else see a resemblance between Cash and Charlie Behrens? I think he could be your older brother. Cheers! (btw - HATE spiral stairs)
Dunkin Doughnuts no thank you…..worst coffee on planet earth…..maybe even on other planets.🤣 Cash you never fail to crack me up.❤️
They really should sponsor at least one of his videos, given all the free advertising they're getting. :o)
@@seattlebeard Agreed.🤣
He's gonna keep that up and he might get slapped with a defamation lawsuit some day.
@@FrankiesFancy Maybe….maybe not. I’m not sure if he’s doing anything illegal. Cash has been saying it for years. He’s right tho….it’s not good quality coffee.
@@FrankiesFancy - yes, it’s getting to be a bit of a bore.
I still have no idea why they're illegal. I think I blinked.
Open staircase.
Big Christmas this year, Pamper K. Mr. Cash. Nice Apts.😉
That dude took off on the 7-11 clerk.
😂😂 That’s normal in NYC, unfortunately.
Congratulations to you and your family on your new baby Cash. I pray that it goes well. ✝️ 🙏 📖 💖
👏 CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU & YOUR WIFE!
How exciting 😀 your having another baby!!
Hey Rocket Money sounds really 😎 cool!
Don't care for the stairs either!
I think for 14, 000 they should have steam showers. Just my opinion! Have a great day!
In regards to the apartment, looks good, but I don't like the recessed doorway to the roof, looks like a flooding/excess water issue....
Dog and bone - dog place😆 Dog & bone is Cockney rhyming slang for phone and there was red phone box on the poster so probably some themed place.
I hope everything goes well with your wife and baby 🍼❤️
That place is gorgeous, but that staircase is an instant nope from me lmao.
$13K/month Same price as it was a year ago. As if that makes it sound like a bargain. lol
Awesome place. If I owned a company I would have it be my office/home, have meetings and networking events and write off the rent.
My brain is frozen on $13,995 - buy rent buy rent. HOLY HELL.
Wow, I could have the privilege of having to walk up and down steep, narrow stairs for just 13k a month? 😆
The price to rent this apartment monthly is three times my monthly for mortgage and property taxes in Austin. Yikes.
First off. Another great video.
For the life of me, why would anyone pay 14K on rent. Might as well just burn the money. If it was toward a mortgage (still extremely high) maybe it would make sense…maybe.
Why do you think folks are gushing over these high rent prices? Is is they must live in NY?
Cash going in two footed on Dunkin Donuts and Chipotle, a regular joy. 😂
Ok, Cash used "tiny house" to describe the roof deck entrance AND the entire townhouse in the same video-he must be talking directly to me 😂
Great video but the space was way underwhelming with zero character. The best aspect was the tacky purple lights in that long hallway.
Three weeks to go. Her tummy is so pretty. ❤🎉
Rmember when cash responded in his chat, he's too big now and too busy, miss ya Cash!
Aww congrats on baby number 2! That’s wonderful!!!!
Stairs steps need to be deeper, especially if you have to spend a lot of time in them. And moving stuff in these will be hazardous.
It's only illegal if you get caught.
True dat 😅😂
Cash is a total short king, I loved this one!
Drinking on that roof would be an issue coming back down those stairs.
Love the neighborhood tour
Here again and happy about it! ❤️😊
This place is dope! Those illegal places are always the best 🤙🏻😜🤙🏻
Until you're caught in a fire with no way out. Or basement apartment during a flood.
@@MissCane9 Risks are there anywhere and everywhere you stay. Don’t worry, I’m not moving in anytime soon anyway 😂
@@ZachGoulet No place is perfect.
@@virginiamoss7045 I agree
That pink hallway could be an after hours dark room! Last yrea?year?? Guess the tenant didn't renew. How do you get furniture up there?
Whomever rents that can use the pink hallway to let their kids roller skate up and down 😂👍Just add a little disco music 🎶🪄🛼💫💃🏽🕺🏼💃🏽🕺🏼
The tunnel would be widened to fit some shelves and the lighting would be replaced with something that doesn't sing "Porn Star Dancing!"
Otherwise, nice place for being in one of the busiest cities in America.
Nice units and congrats on the soon to be arriving baby.
O.M.G. Do people in NY really get paid that much more to be able to cover those rents?!
14k a month sounds like the owner took a mortgage out for like $5mil and decided this is how he's making it back
@CashJordan I've watched quite a few videos, and I appreciate the don't drink Dunken Donuts coffee. I was wondering what coffee source do you prefer?
Rent prices will only keep going up if you let the landlords charge the outrageous prices - I don't spend $14k per month on ANYTHING and I'm struggling to live... In fact, I pay just over $18k per YEAR for my rent.
