A feature that you didn't mention is that the Dungeon is designed for the lid to snap on underneath the storage compartment when it's on the table. You don't have to find a spot for the lid to live when the box is open, AND there is extra rigidity on the sides and bottom from the double layer of box and lid!
OMG you are right! What's hilarious is the behind the scenes I kept wandering around my studio looking for a place to put the lid while I was doing the internal box shots. I had completely forgotten about that feature. Pinning this comment for awareness!
6:13 I think what's nice with the Omni Hive is putting the 100+ Boulders (Clear) face up, so you can see the commanders. You can then grab which one you want, without having to lift them up to check which one they are.
I used to use the dungeon for going to the LGS every friday but that only lasted a few months before the traveling took it's tool. The magnet covers started falling off and the middle insert comes out now. Otherwise it's fine, but it's an important thing to note that this is for keeping on a shelf and not traveling.
@@beyondthedeckbox yup. and to doubly clarify, I mean the cloth covered caps that go over the magnets, 2-3 of them eventually started falling off. a little super glue would solve it easy.
This man is out here reviewing things at the perfect time! Been looking at both of these to consolidate my bulk and get a bit more organization in my office.
I hate when people talk about the removable lid they never show it attached to the bottom. Makes the box way stronger and to me, the best way to keep the lid out of the way
Yeah, I goofed that up. Honestly I completely forgot about that feature as I was doing the review. I pinned another comment that says the same thing. Planning on doing another video soon to point this out. Thanks for watching!
The Dungeon holds 60 of the Burger Token 22s boxes that I use for my Jumpstart decks. 10 of them (5 eack side) are placed sideways. I love the Dungeon, very pleased with it! Oh and the lid snaps under it which is nice too.
Something important to note... if you want to use boulders, the arkhive is a better options... the whole point of this bigger and expensive boxes is to use with sidewinders/sidekick deckboxes that fit perfectly... also, the omnihive only support 8 sidewinders + the trays... meanwhile the Dungeon support 10 sidewinders/sidekick.
Thanks for the review. I use and like both these products. I am using the Omni hive for deck boxes and the dungeon is a perfect fit for unsleeved bulk if you load the cards on their side. Definitely the nicest bulk storage solution that I’ve come across 👍
I've chuckle when I've seen the thumbnail. A nice excuse... reason to get the dungeon! Really great comparison between the two. You're right on the xenoskin, it feel like it can take a hit or two compare to the nexofyber. Keep us update on what you will put inside those.
Not going to lie, part of the reason I love doing this is it gives me an excuse to get all these accessories. My wife hasn’t figured that part out…yet.
I wonder if the price difference will be smaller when/if UG releases non-exclusive omnihives. I hope so, I'm not so keen on Dungeons, like yourself. Once again, great comparison.
I tend to make silly irrelevant comments without thinking. Let me just emphasize that the quality of your videos is excellent, and I hope all the best for you and the channel’s future. 🙂
The 1100+ can! You have to put them in sideways. I have a video on the Bastion where I talk about what the Bastions can fit in. Here is the timestamped link: ruclips.net/video/WTIQgG2Lmlw/видео.htmlsi=mPdAi7KnWV-bmXuq&t=495. Hope that helps!
Awesome review! Will you be getting the Superhive 550+? I've been hoping to see a side by side comparison of how much bigger the Omnihive 1000+ is to the Superhive 550+
Thank you so much! I actually already have Superhive550+! I haven't done a review on it specifically but I will definitely add that to the list of video ideas.
@@beyondthedeckbox Not a problem! I ended up ordering the Arkhive 800+ internationally for that Americas edition. Sadly I wish the dimensions of the Ark were just a wee bit longer to fit a playmat (but I guess thats why the superhive was born). In a bit of regret and liking to the 2022 green too much, I ordered the Omnihive today just in case that one suits my needs better than the Ark. The provided dimensions of these both don't sound like they're that much different in size. A Omnihive vs Superhive video may be an enticing video for folks like me that didn't know anything about these brands and after a few days of research learning about all the product lines. Cheers
It looks like the Dungeon can’t hold MTG cards sideways; do you have an idea on roughly the degree that it is “too small”? I play yugioh and am looking into the dungeon to store sleeved cards. Keeping them vertical would have too much extra space, but if I can fit them in horizontally then it seems perfect for my needs.
I don't have any Yugioh cards on hand so I can't test this for certain, but it seems the cards themselves will fit fine. The Dungeon compartments are 89mm wide and Yugioh cards are 86mm so you have some room. (I found some sites saying 88mm so I'm not sure why there is a discrepancy but still small enough to fit.) But if you sleeve them you need to do so in Yugioh Perfect fits since those are 87mm. Any other type of sleeve and it gets too big to put them in sideways. I hope that helps! Hopefully someone who plays Yugioh and has a Dungeon can fact check me.
I've bought three dungeons and one of them has had its center wall break. I use them to store board games in deck boxes. I regret the purchases because I feel pirate lab foam trays would have done the same thing, better, for less money.
Not strange at all! Sadly, I do not think it will. I don't have a Stronghold XL but a checked the dimensions of it compared to measurements I pulled from both boxes and it doesn't look like it would fit in either the Dungeon or the Omnihive.
I'm surprised by this. I've had many Ultimate Guard products with the xenoskin and none of them have scratched nearly as easily as the nexofyber. I'm sorry to hear that was your experience.
Are you referring to the end screen? I usually select the "Best for Viewer" option so it might be that RUclips really wants you to watch that particular video. (I do too! But I understand if you already watched it or aren't interested.) Or are you referring to somewhere else?

The wrap around lid style is amazing. I use it as a play matt when i want to pack light, butt hawe a few decks with me.

Love these reviews. Nice to have a new set of eyes instead of only from the Professor all the time.
Thank you so much!
Great video, thank you! Where do you get those multi-coloured deck boxes ?
I've gotten them on Amazon and my LGS. They are coming out with more. I hope that helps!
Amazing review and all very true points. Thank you so much for reviewing this product 🙏
You are welcome! And thank you for watching!
was going to buy, thank you!
Can the dungeon hold 10 bastions? That would be perfect

I'm sorry they didn't work out for you. I know the Omnihive's center wall seems to be sturdier because it's shorter.
A bit of a strange question, but can either one hold stronghold xl’s? I love the strongholds, but I don’t wanna juggle multiple at once.
