I was born and raised in Maine, lived all over the world from my 20’s-30’s and we settled in Colorado. You would think I would be all over the pine and cedar decor in winter- nope, not even the faux stuff, though I do use mini faux pine trees in my kitchen and bathroom during the cold months. But I stay with my Santa, red and white table top decor and bells and mercury glass acorn ornaments I put in a brass bowl beside the Christmas tree during December. So, brass, mercury glass, a bunch of red faux berry sprigs in a blue glass vase and some wood decor from November-March; of course, February and March I will add the Valentine and St. Patrick wreaths and gnomes appropriate for each holiday but that’s it, never over the top, just subtle additions. I love those copper canisters, so warm and comfortable to see.

Love this. I hate the heavy, piney winter decor. Like you said, once Christmas is done, I'm done with it. I go straight into Spring.

Hey there! I dislike cords and plugs in the kitchen as well. That try was perfect to hide the lamp cord. The scalloped dish does make a cute spoon rest for coffee. I love the baby's breathe. I’m in Southern California and it’s been cold 🥶, in the 30’s at night, so I’m feeling that winter ❄️ decor, and this weekend I’ll add light Valentines 💌 decor. I can understand if it’s not too cold in your area wanting to skip winter items, I would too. Your decor and videos are always so calming.
Green is my favorite color too, I love sage and seafoam shades, but any shade of green 💚is my fav.

Jen, you created such a beautiful space and I adore all of the sweet touches you add to make your home feel so cozy. I love that you turned that piece into a spoon rest, such a great idea. Hi Jen, when I lived in Pennsylvania (born and raised) I always did the winter decor as our winters were LONG! But since moving to Texas I am in the mindset you are. I don’t jump into full on spring decor but the heavy stems get packed away with Christmas. I am so here for the green trend. We have had some form of green in every house we’ve owned, I find it to be a great neutral.

It's nice to see something different for winter. There is something to be said using what works for your region. Pines would seem out of place. Here in Illinois we are having blizzard conditions so I'm envious of your 60s and 70s weather. Love the towel rack attached to the wall by your cabinet. I'm going to do that now. Love how you decorated your whole kitchen!!

The salt and pepper shakers are from Walmart from a couple years ago. I have them and the utensil crock and sugar and creamer set that matches. There was a canister set also but I wasn’t able to get it.

Actually yes, I used to have white everything and it's still something I love when I look at it but I also like to have the contrast. Maybe I'll end up doing that in the future. Happy Sunday
