Images for Violin and Piano (Original Composition)

One day, I was listening to Szymanowski Mythes with my friend. Suddenly he said "write something like this and I'll play it for you". It was my first week in a Conservatory and there had just been an announcement that the first composition major's concert would be held in the largest hall in the school, Jordan Hall. I had exactly 20 days left to compose a piece and submit it to the concert. Till this day, I don't know how I managed to write the piece and how the players managed to prepare it in such a short amount of time. I pretty much used up all of my luck for that semester. (2023)
There are a few Ravel and Debussy influences here and there, but my most obvious influence was Szymanowski Mythes. You could imagine that this piece is a summary of all 3 movements of Mythes.
