The last level seems to have some type of random item sequencer.. the items were coming in different order each time from what I could see.. I'm assuming Noteblocks have something to do with it
All things being equal, that last level WAS quite a challenge to survive. Imagine progressively 'tougher' versions where the fire flowers either come less frequently, or, there are less and less! :O That would be pretty bloody challenging!!
