- Ahhhh! It's here! My Traveler's Notebook goodies finally arrived in the mail, and I'm so excited to look at my new goodies (I've been waiting for you) and set up my Traveler's Notebook. It's also my first planner/system setup video! Come hang out and give me advice!

Hi, Sara, I want to say kindly to you, I believe (because that’s how it looks) your TN is from Michael’s craft store, they were selling them around 5 years ago or so for about $10. I have a travelers company notebook, to be honest I’m not impressed with their leather. I think they are way over priced. Chic Sparrow makes beautiful covers but prices are also high, but they do last a long time, so they are worth their price,,plus they come with or without pockets and have 4 strings. There is also another company called Little Mountain Bindery that sell all sizes of leather covers. You can get trifold or bifold, pick your leather and string color, comes with 2 strings. No pockets. Only $49. for standard size. They call them fillions. I’m so glad I found them because I got to try different sizes without breaking the bank. I hope you enjoy your cover. You’ll have to keep trying and move your books till you find what works for you. Have fun doing it. I recently found your channel and have been enjoying your content. Thank you for sharing. I got a tn cover on Amazon for like $15-$20 and would recommend for the next budget size up

I just found this video. That TN is not TN from Traveler's Company but it's a good start before you decide if you like the system. I have 4 Traveler's Company TNs and I love every single one of them. Each leather texture is different on each colors so it's fun to have them all. I think you will love Traveler's Company TN. I have the passport size and standard size. I also found those passport size insert at Walmart a month ago and been using them in my passport TNs, it's a perfect size and so affordable. I agree with you that the TN you bought should not be described as Excellent. I would describe it as fair condition because of that condition isa little far from good, but glad that the seller is a nice seller. My first TN was a cheap one from Barnes and Nobles few years ago before I decided use the Traveler's Company TN because I wanted to see if I would like the system and I used it for only two weeks because I ended up loving it so much. I gifted my Barnes and Noble TN to one of my friend. I enjoy your video. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
I blame the Walmart passport inserts for my rabbit hole 😂 what’s your favorite TN cover? since you said they all are a bit different. I’ll be buying a used one someday, but I’m pretty happy with what o have now while starting out. @@SIMulatedSara I love all of the Traveler’s Company TNs that I have and they’re all my favorites. Been using them for few years and the quality is really good, worth the price, tbh. The TN I got from Barnes and Nobles was the only one they carried, not sure if they’re still carrying it tho, I can’t remember what the brand is, it came with a plastic zipper pouch and 2 inserts which was a really good deal and the price was less than $15. My friend has been using the TN I gave her for few years now and she likes it 🙂

I enjoyed your video and think you are so wise to take a test drive with a less expensive version of the Traveler's Notebook before investing in what can quickly become an expensive set-up. You asked for suggestions. My food for thought would apply if you decide to purchase a leather Traveler's Notebook brand cover. Alot of people put the clear folder in so that it lays across the front and back of the clear folder then, they add inserts in the middle of the clear folder. That places the clear folder insert between any other insert and the leather cover. That way the clearfolder protects other inserts from the possibility of getting stained by dye from the leather cover. I hope that makes sense. I look forward to seeing how you like the Traveler's Notebook system.
