Great cover of a old classic. A lot of artists have done this song but Katie's version is my favorite. I like to watch her sing it because she puts so much passion in it. She really rocks. I love this girl. Thanks for posting it
I've lived in the heart of the southern US my entire life and I have never heard it called anything other than a harmonica. I love Katie, she's awesome!
Thats it...She out performs the majority of artists purely because she has the whole package. She has a unique voice, writes her own songs manages her own band, and even has a style all of her own, oh yes and shes very pretty.
These AVO sessions show Katie in a great light, and prove beyond all doubt that she's a great and original artist. Must admit the bands very tight too. All in all, brilant teamwork and leadership.
What is the original? (Found on wiki: "The Artie Shaw recording was released by RCA Victor Records as catalog number 27609. The record first reached the Billboard magazine charts on November 21, 1941 and lasted 1 week on the chart, at #10.")
Bellissima voce ma quello che è più importante è L arrangiamento specialmente l armonista comunque la metterei al primo posto di quelli che hanno cantato questo pezzo
Generally Eva Cassidy sang better than Katie - she had better voice. But her music was a little... boring. Katie makes me listen her version again and again... when she sings, she plays a role - listen to "It's only pain" or "Shirt of a ghost"... Anyway - in this song I prefer performance of Eva Cassidy
Katie's no Blues singer; not by a long crack of the whip. Hasn't got a Blues voice. ( Think Bessie Smith) . The harmonica man; he was great.Anyone know of him ? Katie, stick to Pop. It's what you do best. Please leave the great Blues songs alone. Ta.
Now please! my comment is very specific, he can be the best guitar player but this particular harp solo sucked & made me wonder what if it were John Popper on the harp here. I may post my playing on youtube & I may not I don't have to prove my self to you Mr.
Katie's got a superb voice, but let's face it: she just can't sing the blues. Total disappointment;. She is at her best singing ballads, and that is what she should stick to..
I beg to differ. I think that because shes not a traditional blues singer, this is the best blues performance possible coming from that. She nails the emotions of blues singing.
I love the voice of the girl, the piano and the blues arp. Thank you
what a great sound and a great video. Blues will never die. Very nice!!!!

whats funnier is , I just moved to usa one year ago and I always knew that it is called "harp" specially in the southern states.
Good. :)
😮🤤😍😘
what happened to the " hey hey Justin here " segment of the video :D
rosemary clooney had the best version of "blues in the night".
John Jarou
News to me that she sang it. It's a very good version. However, it's Ella's version that's number one for me.
I think it need a guitar solo with drive and more opened hi-hat hits... great... shes Georgian :)
What was the track 5??
Before " what i miss about you "
lol , harmonica is called Harp in USA.
@Cakalene
Justin Sandercoe on the harp.
It's called belting dude

"Piece By Piece"
@ddviolinist Got it in a nutshell. These days , 'taint how you sing, it's how you look.
tv prog
Not the same without Paul Jones on the harmonica!
many white women and men sing blues like country.
so far, only the Stones and her seem to get it right.
pro tip : you can watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Matthias Torin definitely, been using flixzone} for since november myself :D

She's cute, and has a wonderful voice - but nah, still Cab. Nothing beats Cab Calloway.
Listen to Eva Cassidy do this song and you won't be back here.
Katie beats Eva. Eva is too showy. Katie hits the blues properly.
Moi qui lit les commentaires 😭 y a aucun collégien 😭😭

haha. it's more like we call football soccer in the US.

:S where is popper!! who is this funny harp player , I swear I can do better on a solo:S!!!!!!!!
