hahaha yeh i've heard from some of my students and friends about these too. the tones are very tricky in Thai language because it leads to something completely different!

Watching this in my hotel room in Chiang Mai ^^ great video!
The stories of your experience are so relatable. When I don't understand things in other provinces and I say "โห, ผมทำงานที่กรุงเทพ ผมมาเที่ยวที่นี่ครับ" and its the same reaction, they giggle but tell you or switch to Central

4:35 in Meitei we use a-duisu-nie / adoisunie meanings can vary depending on which end of the sentence we use them as well.
7:29 Ngaaw/A'Ngaaw its the same with Meitei for stupid, fool, crazy, silly with suffix ba - for male and bie- for female. Otaku readers, Its the Meitei version of Bakah .
8:45 in Meitei - Yareh Ko ? ( okay right ? ) or it ga also be perceived as an assertive sentence depending on the tone and the way the sentence is framed WRT to the situation 🤣 sorry too long of an explanation
    9:48 Meitei - Asiengba - Ro ? ( Really ?)
    11:53 - Haiy-Uu ( Speak ) or N'gang-Uu .
    Waa N'gang-Uu ( speak Words )
Watched only till 16:52 will continuethe other half of the words later..
    Love from India 🇮🇳 🐉🐎

I have a similar misunderstanding with Saaw with a vendor. I asked her the price and she said “saaw ha” and then looking at my confusion she sighed and said “yii sip ha”😂
