17:00 What does Unofficial Networks Actually Make?
The guy 3 beers deep talking about his skis from the back of his garage was spot on 😂😂😂
"unofficial networks, now that's a name I've not heard in a long, long time"
Thanks Old Ben Kenobi
@@RicketySkiReviewsbeat me to it
My initial thought was that unofficial networks is a euphemism for the mob.
Thanks for watching everyone! Hope you had a great holiday weekend
Was only like 110 here in Sacramento 🥵🥵🥵
Having skied 40+ years (30 trying to ski like Stein) on 60-65mm / 195-210cm, I sometimes giggle when I hear you need 98+mm to ski powder. 😊
And I just went down to 81mm from 85mm. Still trying to learn that carving. lol.
You don't need it to be wide. But I would argue it's a lot more fun. I was on my 71 mm Kastle this year 2 days after 2'.....it's No where nearly as fun as something 94 millimeters wide.. Imo. it definitely can be done, but🎉it's a lot of work to unweight your tail in fresh snow😮
I think these guys compared to Elliott is the equivalent of judging a book by its cover vs its content. Plus, I like the backyard setting Elliot ☺️
Its like my mom always said when I was a kid, sometimes the truth hurts.
My Nordica Beast skied great! What say you? 🤣 Thanks for keeping me entertained in the summer months.
Haha, talk about a throwback!
That review deserved roasting. It was worthless. Thanks for the fun episodes!
This was worth waiting for. Always looking for a ski that skis well and is good on snow!
The last great thing Unofficial Networks did was make GNAR - The Movie. Since 2011 I got nothing
What mounting point did you use on the Peaks you had? I have a pair of Peak 98’s and a pair of Peak 110’s in the box unmounted in the basement.
I went 2 clicks back on the demo bindings ruclips.net/video/7jausK4p7NE/видео.htmlsi=SxuesFERcpheFbjz
I know that guy w/the headband, Troy Caldwell he was an accomplished freestyle skier in the 70's! He's got quite a story, he lost the headband but still has the hair lip! Great observation about us Tahoe skiers, I learned on straight 205s in 1996 and I have that bad habit of having the skis too close together, sometimes they knock, I've been coached I'm working on it!
Check out Harald Harb. Skis too close together is not an issue: it is how you flex into a turn!
@@TheBeingReal TY I'll do that I start the turn well the transition is my weakness I've heard
@@anthonyalpha4118 It is an always learning sport! ⛷️
I saw peak has a new 78 width ski, possible topic is narrow skis. I ski mostly Midwest/East and interested in skiing Europe. Europe rentals seem to all be high performance narrow width skis. Does the narrow width make us for the stiffness difference compared to a mid 80s all mountain ski?
Yeah, there is literally no ski that can do the job of both an FIS slalom ski and a powder ski with zero camber, so I feel like anyone who unrepentantly calls any ski a "do-it-all ski" without even doing anything to qualify or expound on that hyperbolic/clickbait claim just hasn't tried that many different *kinds of skis* or doesn't have strong enough preferences or ability to discern differences between skis to really be the kind of person I'd go to for buying advice. And that's not a character flaw. Not everyone is naturally suited to reviewing things, but those who are are likely to have a tendency/urge to go into great detail explaining subtle nuances and/or lots of comparisons against other skis people are likely to have tried. Aside from the footage, there really wasn't much here beyond what a random person on the chairlift might say about their first pair of wide all-mountain skis that they bought without ever demoing anything.
Very much agree I don't take my Stance 96s out in powder beyond 9", double digit inches it's ON for my Volkl 104 Revolts. Really fun ski in 1-2.5' of powder very Sendy too. Friends are surprised it's my 1st twin-tipped ski, center mounted yet I really like the ride. Great air ski too in March a lifty saw me launch my best Spready coming into the bottom he said I look like I'm having fun w/envy I was STOKED!
Nothing wrong w/being honest & critical you're not an asshole about it, plus you'll give the Chef's Kiss if it's worthy! We live in strange Orwellian times where speaking the truth is traumatic 'hate speech' or worse.
Crosson make airliner wingtips. the son made skis as a hobby for a bit. carbon being shit for skis probably led their early demise
Oh very cool, ty
Warm up run then cat runs lol. Odd review
Yeah.... were pretty dam far from skiessentials.Lazy is the good word for this content.. no use at all.
Remind me to always say Fun or Sendy ski, never Playful LOL!
15:31 Camera man caught him!
is womens ski you think be compatible to mens?
yes, mostly just different sizing
Wow, this video makes me pine for more AI generated content- no joke. This is kinda sad.
