This is the first time ive seen this video but ive been looking for it for awhile now because my brother told me he comes out in it and sure enough he does. Hes the guy with the Seattle Mariners hat that picks up the book towards the end of the video. He said he was drinking in Central Park and they came up to him and asked if he qanted to be in the video and he said fo sho and done deal. But its took me all these years to find it because he couldn't remember the name of the song and at first he didn't even remember the name of the band. Those were in his partying days so i think much was a blurr for him lol 🤤🥴😳🤮
The lyrics to this song are brilliant. If ever you were a young man....or any man, for that matter, smitten for a girl you hope is "the One", this song really does capture all the anxiety you feel as you search for the right words to say.
You could, the harmonica is literally and instrument anyone can pick up and play. It sounds and feels very intimidating but is actually very easy and made to perfectly for tge player to make it sound just he does
Wow didn't think I could fly back to my college days.... John popper has no equal. Music and lyrics one of a kind.... there's no doubt to remember is to live . thanks Blues Traveler.
I was at a Dicks last resort one time and Jon was there I got to have a beer with him and man, this guy can PUT DOWN some hot wings... ahhh good times.
Im a fan, but this was just Runaround again. Even the drum fills and harmonica parts are nearly note for note 😂 they must have done this as a joke. They always trolled the music industry.
maybe that's why Popper said in an interview that he thought the video silly and thought of the song as being really called "to and fro"; a song about chance. none of that fatalistic greek stuff
Agreed this song is so underrated among BT fans. I love it. Also I never would've gotten into playing the harp had it not been for John Popper! I hope to get as good as him some day! Also having a pair of gnarly sideburns like that wouldn't be bad either.
Same here. The year was was 1995 and I was in the Belle Promenade Mall in New Orleans and I heard the faint harmony of the chorus in Hook and it stopped me in my tracks. I cocked my head to the side to better capture the music and I stood still, smiling and listening to the music. Afterwards I was tormented for some time because I didn't know who the artist was. When I found out it was on then! Never stopped listening to Blues Traveler since.
Uh Accident??? A combination of heroin, cocaine and the sedative Valium killed Blues Traveler bassist Bobby Sheehan, the New Orleans coroner announced Wednesday, according to the Associated Press, which called his death an accidental overdose.
This video pretty much sums up how I'm feeling right now, minus the part where he actually gets the girl. Blues Traveler is the shit, way to peer into my soul.
u really get me. i love blues. this is it. how i wish to see u alive.. please coime to czech republic. I will buy whatever u want. not joking i a m filthy rich czech baron.
ever played guitar? no? so shut up.. these guy are great! point. i do pay really high taxes for my country.. ii don't give shit who u are .. i don;t need anz one iu'm czech noble. a single word.. and u got warfare.. poin6t. nobodz is afraid of u fuckers.. we got su[perior weapons to u.. baastarsds
Took my son to see Blues Traveler last night (5/19/23)….we now have a new fan.
great music, awesome videos, and ginormous sideburns. Man I miss the 90's, the last decade of great music and Blues Traveler is one of the icons.
..in the study with a candle stick..or at least that what I heard..lololol..only 90s kids will get the clue
Don't you give up don't allow disaster
Don't you give up don't you let her win
We're talking about a ";forever after";
Don't you give up don't you dare give in
Don't you give up don't you dare give in
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Why does it feel like a big mistake
Please understand and hear what I'm saying
The time is now and you don't have long
She could be oceans away tomorrow
So soon your chance will have come and gone
So soon your chance will have come and gone
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Why does it feel like a big mistake
The tight-wires strung and you're out in the middle
All eyes upon you no net below
Inches to go and you're almost home free
Feel the wires swaying to and fro
Feel the wires swaying to and fro
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Why does it feel like it would be a damn shame
Would be forever if it meant a day
How stoically I exclaim
As she turns from me and walks away
The light in her eyes explanation escapes you
Longing to please and not feel alone
And she doesn't know it but really she loves you
Some day so soon you're gonna make it home
Some day so soon you're gonna make it home
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Why does it feel like a big mistake
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Doesn't it seem such a chance to take
Doesn't it seem most precarious
Why does it feel like a big mistake

My favorite Blues Traveler song and I don't care what anyone says.
I love this song 😀
a Band that made me believe there still music, that an old man of 49 can listen to, rock on BT
Any age* - Good music lives forever for everyone to enjoy!
I'm 30 and still love them to death. No one has pipes or plays harmonica like John Popper.
So you're 54 still rocking are you???
Cd purchased from bmg as part of my first free 4 🤣😂. This and Four are GREAT albums
He has such a great voice. Absolutely amazing and so good with the harmonica that solo was pretty narly! wish i could do that
You could, the harmonica is literally and instrument anyone can pick up and play. It sounds and feels very intimidating but is actually very easy and made to perfectly for tge player to make it sound just he does
And that, my friends, is why you must always carry your harmonica around with you.
This video has taught me that if I ever truly need a harmonica, the lead singer of blues traveler will be there to toss me one
Always

Intensely expressive eyes she has.
I have only seen 3 men pull off leopard print. John popper, Prince and Ru Paul.
I'm going to be the next
I gotta say I love this video. Especially the part where he's just drowning there at the end and no cares are given.
R.I.P. Bobby Sheehan!
こんなバンドがいたなんて。
海を越えて知ることができました。
最高。
holy cow this is so 90's corny
and I god damn love it
very creative people....very nice people...it’s all good for the soul.
As a wannabe harmonica player, popper must have made a deal with the devil. Even with ‘studio help’ his harp playing is magical
ahh real music what the hell happened mtv???
Achilles Hoplites "Reality TV"
+Achilles Hoplites RUclips happened
MTV happened....before it was just about music...now it's just about looks
Im a fan, but this was just Runaround again. Even the drum fills and harmonica parts are nearly note for note 😂 they must have done this as a joke. They always trolled the music industry.
doesnt it seem most precarious that this video looks based off of the greek myth Narcissus?
maybe that's why Popper said in an interview that he thought the video silly and thought of the song as being really called "to and fro"; a song about chance. none of that fatalistic greek stuff
Blues Traveler, was, is, and will always be THE SHIZZ NITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed this song is so underrated among BT fans. I love it. Also I never would've gotten into playing the harp had it not been for John Popper! I hope to get as good as him some day! Also having a pair of gnarly sideburns like that wouldn't be bad either.
Was this a music video or a Mentos commercial? Either way, it rocked.
John Popper is Awesome!
Fantastic Voice. Best harmonica player, and a all round great guy!
R.I.P. Bobby Sheehan ...you kicked ass!
I don't think there's a single song by BT that I DON'T like. Incredibly gifted musicians. Very tight.
John Popper isn't a lyricist, he's a modern day poet.
doctorchud1 A modern day Bard.
That he is
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..........................................................................................................
True - incredible singer/songwriter.
John isn't the only song writer for the group , but together they make a Brilliant band. !!
Happy Birthday today(May 29) to Chan Kinchla. Cheers! 🥨
First time I heard this and I tip my hat to absolute genius
I remember the whole frosted hair thing. Horrible idea.
saw this group in oakland/ wow what a treat. calif!
This band inspired me to attempt to learn guitar.
that moment when you see a nice girl then see her boyfriend walk into the picture a moment later
It started with listening to the hook but I just keep finding more amazing songs by the blues traveller
So what you're saying is...
...the hook brought you back
I love every song from blues traveler
You can't never go wrong with blues traveler
the drummer doe snot use open hi hat...he uses right cimbals instead..interesting sound =)
My personal favorite one.....The drum beat changes in the middle is also fun to check
I'm in this video for not even half a second I was 13 years old
How does a band that plays bubblegum music call themselves Blues Traveler?
One of my all-time favorite songs and albums... glad it randomly crossed my mind today. Thank you John Popper.
@lob287 at this point these were just there radio freindly tunes lol
Uh Accident??? A combination of heroin, cocaine and the sedative Valium killed Blues Traveler bassist Bobby Sheehan, the New Orleans coroner announced Wednesday, according to the Associated Press, which called his death an accidental overdose.
Traditional storytelling is surprisingly wise and nice. Apparently, in John Popper's head, the real name of this song is "to and fro"
Saw these guys 4 times great band
I think that guy drowned at the end. . . . She straight up murdered him.
Scott Newell John Popper killed him with an underhanded harmonica.
he died himself because he was a narcissist. that's the point.
Thanks Jimmy,I had seen tidbits of that myth but I never saw the name Narcissus.
Cheer~~not securely held or in position; dangerously likely to fall or collapse.😢(good rhythm)
I have no idea what is happening in this video, but I love the breakdown in part
My dude's a wordsmith
What a good music video and song!
Glad vevo hasn't regionised videos too.
Man, Poppers vocals are insane.
Of course the fruit booter wiped out....
nobody plays the harmonica like this man
that guy reminds me of jack black
That guy is definitely going to drown at the end of no one helps him
He is like Hugo from Lost haha XD
A chance not taken is an opportunity lost
Who's the main girl in the video? anyone know?
Sarah Shahi
@@philweedlun3554 nope
Zene.
Köszönöm szépen!
what is this girl's name?
I have a good laugh at the juggler who keeps juggling despite the disasters....😂😂😂😂
still love them...always sounds as good as the last, just dont get old
popper has some pipes
happy ending, lol
THIS IS FOR GOHAN
One of Blues Travelers best songs.........we have all been there with a crush or two in our lives
Hook and Run Around are my least favorite songs. I just want jam with you on harmonica.
@Strokesquad009 yeah those sideburns could put a roman helmets side guards to shame
Feel Me NOW? Can You Hear Me.

Disasssssterrrr :) . I love Blues Traveler!!!
Who’s the good looking guy with blue eyes?!
Popper was probably shopping w/Mike Gordon when he picked out that shirt ;)
@lob287 Doesn't that seem most precarious?
There's a Barenaked Ladies feeling. Superb bands.
How dare you! Edited to add, I also like both bands friend.
Sounds like Tenacious D trying to make.... this.
Didn't John Popper just kill a guy?
john popper ftw?
Will Freed this is on of favorites
Trekkies, is that Deanna Troi's mother at 1:30?
This song is about dynamics, very cool
Most Mcprecarious
3:20 divine intervention lol
I miss fat John Popper.
