As a person with a pre-existing, genetic, clotting disorder it was necessary to make a decision between possibly getting covid and ending up in an ICU or getting a vaccine and getting a 1 in 1.2 million chance of a blood clot. Last week I had my first Pfizer shot.
Hope you end up being ok 👌, may I ask you took the unapproved,untested, maybe unsafe vaccine? ..

@@lisatruthful1369 They never asked me. I have to take about 30 pills per day for several different conditions and I decided to research on my own and ask my providers. No one could give me concrete answers but I decided to avoid JJ and AstraZeneca due to early reports of blood clots for which I am a high risk candidate. We all need to research and advocate on our own behalves.
This has been my thoughts all along. I’m not surprised the J&J vaccines is also showing these same side effects as the AZ. I wonder when the Sputnik V gets out into the world where the news is not heavily controlled by the state will we learn there are the same issues with it, too. It must be made clear the side effects are rare and maybe shouldn’t be given to women on oral contraceptives. Just my thoughts. I think it was the UK who saw men having these side effects as well. I wonder if any shared commonalities?

Did forget today's dose! Had no side effects after the AZ dose which, at age 69. I attribute to Vitamin D3 1000 i.u. daily since advised Feb 2020 by Dr Campbell. Others like Fluvax left me feeling not the best for a few days and wasn't taking Vitamin D. Not claiming anything but I'd strongly suggest taking it.

It’s likely a phenomenon described by vaccinologist Geert Vanden Bossche. The immune system is flooded with C19 antibodies and cannot mount an innate quick response to a new virus.

I would speculate that the blood clotting issue has occurred previously with similar vaccines but has never been noticed.
Only that tens of millions of vaccinations being carried out under a spotlight, and that we now have the ability to share data so easily has revealed this side effect.

I agree with you. The sheer number ov vaccines being given will show up these very rare events which would otherwise have been unnoticed. Every medical intervention from open heart surgery to taking an aspirin carries a degree of risk. I have had general anaesthesia for surgery twice plus a range of different vaccines but have always accepted the possible consequences. Western society has become completely risk averse and is unable to face up to the fact nothing is 100% safe. I'm willing to bet hundreds die every year from choking on their food but we don't ban eating.

One of the problems Canada has is the stupid rules. I'm not allowed to sit alone in a park to get enough fresh air and sunlight without causing myself hip pain from too much walking, but warehouses are allowed to continue operating without good infection control or paid sick days. I can go to the dollar store and buy hair dye and hail polish, but not pencils and math workbooks even though schools are closed in Ontario.

Are you talking about Ontario? Each province sets their own covid restrictions so you can't lump all of Canada together. I would say for the most part the provinces have been a step or more behind the virus except maybe the maritimes! Alberta for sure has been behind in the last wave and this new variant wave!
If you can find any government on the planet that hasn't made some silly rules or done something really stupid at one point or another regarding covid 19 let me know. So that old catch phrase of a year ago which has wained "we are all in this together" , does hold some truth to it.

We had been deliberately “opening safely” just as exponential growth in VOCs was building under the data. They completely ignored Simon Fraser University modeling from February 9 and instead pursued a policy of, “this is over, back to normal, it’ll be fine.” Our recent policy response could not have been more half-assed.

If you are under the illusion that lockdowns & vaccinations are going to end this pandemic - Good for you but i am not sure how that is possible. All vaccines we currently have are non-sterilizing and are targeted to induce antibodies to S-protein of the original strain. So any minor change in the S-protein of the variants could cause an immune escape and make the vaccinated very susceptible to serious illness. With the vaccination campaign we may see a bit of a drop as it protects against the original stain which is also still in circulation, but the variants are taking hold and becoming the dominant strain and it will not be long before the cases spike up once again and that will be with more sick people. We cannot hide from this virus for ever ? that is not practical and neither can be done. It is about time we all started thinking properly taking into account the several dynamics which are at play here.

Need a thriving economy to fund such as the NHS, and other public services, they're not free ! Poor economies generally don't have good Health Services, and there a zillion and 1 other illnesses and conditions that medical staff need to look at, aside from Covid related. Also, re flights, aside from cargo, there will be a number of necessary flights required by various engineers / scientists, of different disciplines, who need to perform their work at site.

I recall from a prior video that Canadians make up a somewhat disproportional amount of your audience, given the population size. I am in the states and work in a hospital. My state put a halt to administering the Janssen J&J vaccine temporarily. We were able to switch all pur scheduled J&J vaccine appointments to either Moderna or Pfizer. We called all those people to reassure them.
Yes, my husband took his 2nd shot of Moderna here in Las vegas, and at the site they had pulled the J& J shots.
There must be extra logistics, as Jannsen is one dose and the others two doses, and thus a need for future appointments.

Some updates regarding Sweden here:
- This week we have highest number of patients in intensive care for COVID-19 during the entire pandemic
- The health authorities in the Uppsala region (which have been hit particularly hard) pleaded for all citizens to go in to a "personal lockdown" and not meet anyone outside their household
- My personal observation is that people do not seem to care about the recommendations from the authorities at all. I see more people wearing masks (but still maybe only like 10-15%), but that's it
- Our Public Health Authority just announced that they are suspending the Johnson&Johnson vaccine pending CDC/EMAs investigation
- Vaccine programs are still rolling on tough, my parents got their first vaccine shot this week (AstraZenica)
- Region Stockholm (where I live) have announced that they will start phase 4 (everyone over age of 18) in week 19, if they get all planned vaccine deliveries. So I am starting to feel hope that I can get my shot soon

How so? Let's look at a list of countries with essentially identical policies and near identical actions China, Taiwan, Vietnam , Australia and New Zealand. Funnily enough if you carry out the same actions you end up with the same results. I don't think it's strange that European WHO region and PAHO Pan-American Health Organization countries are all struggling, open borders without compulsory quarantine tends to cause that result, versus 14 days mandatory enforced quarantine which actually works, and lockdown and eliminate as required, other Western Pacific region countries haven't done the second part as much so haven't eliminated the virus however deaths in the Philippines the worst performing country in our region are less than 10% of the US on a per capita basis. So things aren't a mistry , actions or lack there of have consequences and the consistency of results in the WHO regions shows the different outcomes very clearly. For poorer countries they have some excuse but for a wealthy country it's in the end the choice of that country however there seems to have largely been regional solidarity for whatever reason.

I understand your frustration, I am a guy and 23 and had my 1st dose of AZ yesterday. Not gonna lie, I found myself at 4 in the morning having a panic attack because of the risks of getting blood clots especially in younger people. I understood the math, I know how rare it is but sadly our emotions take control sometimes. Nonetheless, I ended up going anyway, I am still concerned but I am also relieved I got it. I'll just look out for any symptoms for the next 2 weeks or so and maybe get like 3-4 blood tests? to detect low platelet count (crossing my fingers it doesn't happen)

I read that people on flights from Brazil to France do have to test negative and then quarantine when they arrive in France.
Negative test doesn't mean much and if the quarantine is voluntary like the rest of Europe , guess what it's near pointless.

Hang on Dr., low platelets don’t lead to clots they lead to bleeding. Hence the headaches. How many deaths by stroke have we had with a low platelet count? The national statistics on death by stroke will show this. Do you know where to find that information. Is it policy of the NHS to test platelet count for every death caused by vascular bleeding?
You obviously don’t understand the problem. Blood clots are using up all the platelets which then results in bleeding. Doctors then diagnose the clots and prescribe Heparin, which then causes more bleeding and possible death.
That’s why they paused the J&J vaccine temporarily so they could inform doctors not to use Heparin.
Dr John Campbell actually explained this in the video you just watched. Maybe you aught to watch it a few more times.

I believe under 2000 of Sweden's 13000 deaths has been in hospitals. The vast majority has died in care homes. That stat is quite scary for France death toll.
It might be that not hospital deaths are counted in the stats from Sweden though and those deaths are only from people that have died in intensive care.
Regardless, someting to think about maybe.
Just to get facts straight, in Sweden two statistics are used/presented:
a) Those who died *with* Covid-19; this includes everyone who had a Covid-19 diagnose within the last 30 days prior to their death. This is the statistic that Folkhälsomyndigheten (The Public Health Agency of Sweden) gathers/presents.
b) Those who died *of* Covid-19; this includes everyone where a physician determined the cause of death to be Covid-19. This is the number that Socialstyrelsen (The National Board of Health and Welfare) gathers/presents.
The reason for this is that there may be several weeks delay for cause of death to be reported, so (a) is used as an estimate of (b) in order to faster track the pandemic. In practice, (a) has turned out to be a good estimate of (b).
Both statistics includes deaths regardless of where they occurred (as long as it is within Sweden of course), so it does not matter if people die in a hospital, or in a care home, etc.

I did some more research to get it straight. And according to "Socialstyrelsen", our Social department, 7000 people has D-word in hospitals, and 5000 people in special care homes. Do we have stats on how common this is in people with Covid, as it could very well be a immune response?
I just now finished watching the latest video on the MedCram channel which discussed this subject. They showed an excellent slide that compared the incidence of this type of clotting for various groups. It’s apparently much more common in Covid patients, pregnant women, and at least three other groups than the 0.09 cases per 100,000 vaccinated people we know about so far in the U.S. If I recall correctly, the statistic for the US population as a whole was 0.5 cases/100,000 per year. The whole video is great but that slide alone makes it well worth the time to watch it.
